Story
Adoption Fee: $200 Physical appearance: Annie is a 12-year-old chow/Pitbull/Labrador mix. She is a medium size dog and weighs about 50lbs. She has the most adorable crinkled ears and her eyes will melt even the iciest of hearts, Personality: Annie just wants you to love her 24/7. She is a total sweetheart and will look at you like she is staring deep into your soul. She does great with the dogs in her foster home, even the testy one. She also ignores the cats. Annie can be quite protective of her foster mom if she thinks something is dangerous, and her bark is a great deterrent. All Annie wants is to sit in your lap, stare longingly into your eyes and sneak a gentle lick now and then. She LOVES breakfast and dinner and even with her age, will get a major pep in her step and try to jump as her foster mom walks her food bowl over. You know she's super excited when she nibbles and nips at your fingers while she trots by your side. She is an amazingly sweet girl that is just looking for the home to let her live out the rest of her days. Why she’s in rescue: Annie was found by one of our volunteers when she ran out in front of her car.  It took no coaxing at all to get her into the car and she was taken to the shelter to be scanned for a chip. The owner was located but stated Annie was old and he didn't want her anymore. The volunteer refused to leave her at the shelter (who could blame her!) and offered to foster her if we would find her the forever home she deserves. Manners and training: Annie is potty, and crate trained, but she will have an accident in the house if not let out often.  She's older and just can't hold it like she used to. She is not destructive in the house and can be left out of the crate if someone prefers. She will also wear diapers without an issue. When her foster mom goes out she just naps on the couch or on the memory foam dog bed. She walks well on a leash but does need help getting in and out of the car. Vetting: All our dogs are brought up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and combo, negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, neutered and microchipped before adoption. Annie does have arthritis so steroid injections now and then help keep her pep in her step and reduce any pain. She has a couple of lumps and bumps but they have all been biopsied and found to be benign. ##1810664##

Gus is so lovable. He is energetic but will also cuddle with whoever lets him. He is 10 weeks, so he’s still very young. I got him from a breeder at 8 weeks but I have a super busy schedule and can’t find help when it comes to watching him so I need to rehome him! He is up to date on his shots!

Story
Due to unpredictable family matters we are having to rehome Oreo. He is a very lazy loving puppy that needs a good home! He has an allergy to fleas and currently has a bald spot above his tail. We have given him flea medicine but it will take time for the fur to re-grow.

Story
Huey Lewis believes in the Power of Love. Which is great, since he appears to love all people, at all times. He's a funny, good natured boy who makes an Olympic sport out of chewing toys and snuggling. It should not surprise you that he's won a gold medal in both events. He loves to run and be outside so he'd do great with a family that either had a backyard or liked to go running, hiking, etc. He adores being with people and is so, so sad when we leave so he'd also love to be with someone that can spend a good amount of time with him. Once he's gotten some wiggles out, he's more than happy to grab a chew toy or some cardboard to nosh on, then lay down on his bed while you work, watch TV, maybe write the next great power ballad with his help. He's fairly quiet most of the time but he's got a big bark, so he sounds even larger than he actually is! He's still fairly young and he was kept in a crate with very little training for the bulk of his life, so he'll definitely need some guidance, but he's got the basics down. He knows "sit", "lay down", "wait", "let's go", and "outside" so far and he's a smart boy who's eager to please: he'll be an amazing companion with a small amount of effort.Huey is fully house trained and presumably crate trained. He loves to chase birds and squirrels and still pulls a bit on the leash, but still nothing that can't be worked through with a little training. He has shown absolutely no resourcing guarding behavior and is generally incredibly well behaved. His muzzle is the softest ever: definitely be sure to give him gentle little rubs right above his nose!If This is It and you're looking for a loving, funny, clever, and all around delightful boy, he'd be so happy to be Stuck with You.

Story
Marty is a burst of enthusiastic energy with a heart of gold! This playful pup is always up for an adventure, whether it's a hike in the woods, a car ride to a new place, or a game of fetch in the backyard. He's a quick learner who's already mastered basic commands and is housebroken. Marty is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle up with his people at the end of the day. He even has a cute "tappy tappy hop" to show his excitement! While he can be a little overeager on leash sometimes, with patience and positive reinforcement training, Marty is sure to become a walking master. To top it all off, Marty has a unique talent for shredding cardboard boxes - he'll put on a show while keeping himself entertained for hours! This smart, loving pup is eager to find his forever family and shower them with doggy kisses. Click the "I'm interested" button to get in contact with Marty's foster family! It is not a commitment to adopt.

Place your bets now on who's a 'Good Girl'!Our staff recently had Bet in a play yard and this is what we observed:"Easily leashed and retrieved from the kennel...While in the play yard Bet had a great time running up and down the play yard, throwing herself in circles, rolling in the grass, and greeting people at the fence line. A big goofball."Because Bet has been such a good girl, she got to leave the shelter and is hanging out in a foster home where we've learned that she is:- House trained- Crate trained- Dog friendly- Kid friendlyIf you're ready to place your bets and adopt a dog, click the red 'I'm Interested' Button to be connected with Bet's foster parent.

Story
Otto got to spend a few days in a foster home during the transition to the new shelter. His foster parent had great things to say about him, and we couldn't say it any better!"Introducing my foster for the week, Otto (FCAS). After spending the last few days with him, I know you will Otto-matically fall in love if you meet him. . He will head back to the new shelter in Fulton Saturday. Please reach out if he sounds like the right dog for you to foster or adopt. Some highlights...He is potty trained. He is crate trained. He isn't destructive. He's very polite - doesn't jump up. He's kid friendly (I have a 10 year old who adores him)He enjoys chewing a good bone, but hasn't shown any interest in toys.He loves to lounge around and is low energy. He hasn't run inside my house once. He comes alive a bit when he's outside. He loves to run around and sniff. He walks well on a leash unless he sees a squirrel, then you better be holding on.If you are thinking he sounds perfect, you'd be correct. We have had so many wonderful snuggles from our very first foster dog. We love him and you will too."Come meet Otto today! Not ready to adopt? That's ok. You can foster Otto.
