Story
Sally is ready to find her family! This 5 month old, 30 pound sweet girl was pulled off a shelter euthanasia list and we have enjoyed watching her grow as the happy and friendly puppy she is! Having never met a stranger both two-legged or four-legged, this Labrador mix gets along great with the teens and other foster dogs in her foster home. Her energy is what you would expect from a lab puppy - ready for a long walk, a game of tug of war, food motivated to learn, or to lay beside you for a belly rub. Sally is crate trained and does extremely well with regular trips outside for bathroom breaks. Being that she is still a puppy, we will require someone home with her to continue that training schedule as well. Sally also walks very well on a leash and will sit at the door at the sight of her leash, in anticipation of a trip throughout the neighborhood. Currently, Sally is in a home with a fenced yard and she enjoys being able to explore the yard while playing with the other dogs in her home and burning up some of her puppy energy. While a fenced yard isn’t required, potential adopters will need to understand that with most young dogs, an outlet for her puppy energy will need to be provided with a fenced yard or frequent walks on a leash. Lastly, Sally was going to try-out to be an airline marshall - directing planes at the gate at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Sadly, she was turned down since her ears had planes only making left turns….and that’s okay, because we love this goofy girl all the same! Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! Our adoption fee is $350 **We only adopt to families in/around Atlanta, Ga (about a 1-2 hour perimeter)** If you are interested in any of our dogs, please visit https://releashatlanta.com/adoptable-dogs.php to either view more of their profile or to apply to adopt! Story
Hi there! I'm Remi, and I’m here to steal your heart! **A Rough Start**: My life didn’t start out so easy. I found myself in a shelter at just 8 months old, but now I’m 1 year old, and my world has gotten so much brighter since I met my foster pawrents. They’ve been showing me what love is all about! **Learning to Be a Puppy**: I never really got to be a real puppy, but my two doggy sisters are helping me figure it out. They’re teaching me all the fun things pups get to do! I also live with two kitty siblings. I’m curious about them but know to give them their space. I do great with cats! **Leash Learning**: Walking on a leash is a new thing for me. I’m getting the hang of it, but it’s not my favorite activity just yet. I’d much rather explore a fenced-in yard where I can roam around and do my business. **Crate Training in Progress**: Crate training is a work in progress. I’d much rather be out of the crate and hanging out with everyone. I sleep through the night well though, and mostly potty trained! **Toy Lover**: I’ve recently discovered how much I love toys—because I never had them before! Playing with toys makes me so happy, and I can’t wait to share that joy with my new family. **Attention Seeker Extraordinaire**: I absolutely love getting attention from my foster pawrents. I demand kisses, hugs, and lots of snuggles. My favorite spot? On the furniture! I’ve even convinced my foster mom and dad that it’s okay for me to chill there with them. (They might regret it later, but I’m too cute to resist!) **A Little Shy at First**: I might be a bit skittish when I first meet new people, but I warm up quickly when they show me some kindness and affection. **Looking for My Forever Home**: I’m on the lookout for a patient family who will shower me with love and understanding. My puppy personality means I need a lot of attention and guidance. I’d be over the moon to have another doggy sibling to help build my confidence! I’m great with kids of all ages, as long as they’re gentle with me, and I get along well with other dogs and even cats, as long as they’re okay with a curious pup like me! I can get a little scared sometimes, but don’t worry—I just roll over and show my belly to let everyone know I’m harmless. Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! Story
Meet Wonderful COLEMAN  -  Tall and Handsome -  Black Lab/Hound/Shephard Mix    Needs a HOME ASAP! He quickly becomes your best friend! LOTS of personality, fun and funny! COLEMAN is a young, sweet, goofy, funny, estimated two-year old, guy with wonderful traits who needs a home! Coleman was abandoned and starving and seen going through neighborhood trash in southwest Atlanta to survive.  He took up residence on the porch of a kind lady who took him in. He had a bad ear infection caused by allergies, and painful hematomas in both ears since he was scratching so hard! The ear infection is cured (thank goodness!), and both allergies and dry eye are being treated easily! He's doing great! COLEMAN is very smart, so happy and playful, fully vetted, heartworm negative and on prevention, and ready for a REAL home!  He is learning to walk well on a leash, super smart guy, can open some gates, and listens well, rides well in a car, loves toys; HE IS PERFECTLY HOUSETRAINED !  He JUST wants to be in your LAP! Coleman is Friendly to all people, was fostered with a tiny child, quiet (rarely barks), likes other large dogs, submissive to them, playful, rides well in a car, and so sweet!  Likes to play with larger dogs, but not small ones (cannot figure out what they are), thus no small dogs or cats. We would love to see him go to a home with a female or male companion to play with and a fenced yard to play in!  But he would be fine as an only dog and is quiet ENOUGH for an apartment short-term foster. His allergies are easily treated with inexpensive meds.  For dry disease he gets drops or ointment, but that can be well managed, as well.  The rescue will pay for prescription meds for a six months to make it easy. This fantastic dog is worth it!  You will LOVE this boy!  Contact AWHAR: awhar09@gmail.com for an application (preferred).  or text Janet at 404-520-1060 cell  our website:  www.awhar.org    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 12:09 pm

Leigh’s fosterThis is a Courtesy Post for Canine Crusaders of Atlanta.  Please contact them directly for more info on Bella at caninecrusadersatlanta@yahoo.com Meet Isabella “Bella” is our 12 year old Senior Chocolate Lab mix girl, and weighs around 65 lbs. She was given up after her family had a baby. Bella is a very sweet and happy girl and has been waiting many years for her new mom or dad. She is housebroken, crate-trained and great in the house. She is happiest as the only pet in the home and wants all the attention to herself. She's never had to share her toys, food or attention with another dog and likes it that way! Bella will still play with her toys and is very loving, but not overly playful. Can you make this beautiful senior girl part of your heart and home? Bella is spayed, microchipped and current on all shots. email for application: caninecrusadersatlanta@yahoo.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 12:09 pm

She is as sweet as her name, as well as an exuberant, fun loving, girl!  Honey came to a county shelter with another dog, and sadly had been in and out of the shelter due to being found running at large numerous times. Because of that, Honey and her brother Conan (who we also saved and is also available!) were placed on the euthanasia list.  We wanted to save Honey's life, but did not have a foster for her. Thankfully a temp foster stepped up in the nick of time but we MUST FIND A NEW FOSTER asap!! If interested please fill out the foster application at the link below, thank you! Honey is very dog and people friendly. We are still learning about her as we just saved her on 6/17, so will update with more about her as we get to know her.  We do know that she loves to play in the water and the sand, so if you're looking for a lake or beach dog, Honey is your girl!  If you are interested in her, please fill out an application at the link below, and we will be in touch! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GARP/Dog Foster app: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/GARP/DogVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 12:09 pm
