Story
Location: Sauk Rapids, MN Jackson, or as he prefers to be called, Boots, is an amazing boy who is trying to adjust and relearn everything after coming back into rescue. He absolutely loves kids and is very protective of them, but he is still working on being okay with men and strangers. He has made great progress but still needs a little help. He has begun kennel training again and is doing very well. Jackson will need yearly blood work-ups seeing that he is Lyme Positive. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Lil Johnny has spent his first year in rescue and is wondering if he will ever find his forever home. Johnny is potty trained, kennel trained, neutered, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped. He is great with dogs, cats, and kids. Johnny loves with his entire body- when he is excited to see you, his whole body wags! Johnny knows sit and shake (and sometimes down). He loves to cuddle with you at night- often times with his head right next to yours on the pillow! Johnny will make a loyal companion and would love some kiddos to grow up with. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Big Lake, MN Gunsmoke aka "Mokey" is a sweet caring boy. He loves to be where the action is and loves to be by a person. Weather that's snuggling up in the couch, on the floor or when a person is cooking, he wants to be there by your side. He does well in his kennel but prefers a nice comfy stuffy to lay down on at night, especially if it's the kids room. He has done fantastic with kids and other dogs. You would not guess when first meeting him that he has a bum leg. He does not let that slow him down. He keeps up just fine. He's a strong boy, so when walking him I would suggest not having a young child hold the leash. He would be a wonderful addition to any family that is looking for a sweet and gentle soul. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Cottage Grove, MN Hi! I’m Maiya and you’ve heard of puppies stealing and chewing socks, right?! Well you haven’t really lived until you’ve had your socks stolen with your toes still in them! (insert diabolical giggle here) My siblings and I got to leave the freezing cold outside and take a car ride to the warm homes of our foster families just in time to start the new year out right. New year, new me, right?! We’ve been learning how to live inside and potty outside. I’ve found I love to sleep on the big fluffy bed on the floor with the big dogs at my foster’s house. I had to get used to my crate at this new house, but now I think it’s a fine place to have my dinner, sleep at night and hang out when foster mom has to go to work. I also love to snuggle in the pillows on my foster mom’s bed! She thinks I’m so funny that when I jump into bed with her I head dive right into the pillows and root around to find a comfy spot. Foster mom says I’m just a big furry noodle with the way we slip and flop running around the house. She also laughs at me when I try to steal her slippers and socks while she’s still wearing them. In my defense, they’re all fuzzy just like my toys! I live with one of my sisters, two big dogs, two teenagers, and sometimes two elementary age kids come over - they are fun! Since I’m still essentially a toddler, I’d probably be better with a little bit older kids who can manage the reactions to my playful nibbles and jumping while I’m learning how to be a model citizen. My new foster sister (the big girl German shepherd who looks a lot like my mom did) taught me that our foster mom pays the ice tax and I can collect too! Every time she goes in the freezer, if we come running we get ice cubes! At first the leash was scary, but I’m getting the hang of it because going on adventures are really fun! Riding in the car is still kind of scary, so I just lay down and wait it out until we get to the fun places we’re going to. My sister and I like to entertain our foster humans with our reenactments of WWE RAW. We typically have matinee and an evening show, and then like to crash out in the laps or the couch with our adoring fans. I like to play fetch and learning new tricks to earn treats. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Andover, MN JC is such a gentle giant! He’s super affectionate with humans and kids, he always has a wagging tail and wants to smother everyone with kisses. He plays really well with other dogs. Although I haven’t seen him with any cats, I’m curious how he’d react because I don’t think he’d chase them. He’s good in the crate, but I’ve also left him out while running errands and he’s been fine. He does pull on the leash, so he’ll need some practice with that! He also does not understand personal space lol, he thinks he’s a little lap dog. He’s a great dog with a heart of gold! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
