Story
Hi! I'm Cope! I'm from Arkansas. From his foster: Cope (aka Cooper) is a sweet, shy, and sensitive dog who loves play time with other dogs and spending time outside. In the house, he is low key and quiet and he follows me around all day (a true Velcro dog). His true joy shines through when he’s outdoors—running, sniffing, and exploring. He’s a playful and carefree spirit when surrounded by nature. Cope is a friendly dog who gets along well with other dogs and cats, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household. He can be wary of some men but tends to bond well with women. Due to his sensitive nature, he does best in a calm, low-stress environment, as too much noise or activity can make him nervous. Cope would thrive in a home with another friendly dog and someone who enjoys outdoor activities. With patience, love, and consistency, Copewill continue to grow more confident and come out of his shell, making him a truly rewarding companion. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle dog who enjoys both peaceful moments indoors and adventure outside, Cope may just be your perfect match!

Story
Hi! My name is Snoopy and I'm from Texas! Hi! I'm Snoopy, although my foster mom doesn't think I look like a Snoopy, so she calls me Finn or Finnegan, because it tend to get halfway out the door & then want to come back in...so she calls me In again, out again, Finnegan! I came to Minnesota from Texas where I'd been running around with my girlfriend and her puppies...my whole family got a ride up here with a bunch of other pups. It was a bit of a scary time and they separated me from the rest of my family. When foster mom first picked me up, I didn't know what to think. I tended to scurry away if she tried to pet me that first day. But after she gave me plenty of food and a treat or two, I decided she was probably safe. And I let her give me some pets! And that was awesome! And now I follow her around wherever she goes, and she lets me cuddle on the sofa while she watches TV and sleep on the end of her bed! I like Minnesota! I like to spend some time outside sniffing the yard perimeter and tossing my toys around in the yard. I have a foster brother that I like to do zoomies & play with sometimes. But my most favorite thing is to get pets from my humans. I've even been known to give them a kiss or two to say thanks! Well, pets may actually be my second most favorite thing...my favorite thing is food! I will happily chow down on anything you leave around. My foster mom keeps telling me things on the counter are NOT for me! She's gotten much better at moving things to the back of the counter, which disappoints me. She says to tell you that other than food I am VERY good at not chewing on anything I shouldn't. I just can't resist the lure of some yummy food! Foster mom makes me stay in this thing she calls a crate when she leaves so she's sure I can't get at any food. But she gives me a treat, so I don't mind going it at all. And she says to tell you I stay pretty quiet in there. I even go in sometimes on my own to just chill! So I'd love to have you come meet me! I might be a little shy at first, but if you can be patient for a couple days, I'm willing to bet I learn to trust you & be your snuggle bunny! I'm a very good boy (as long as there isn't food on the counter)!

Story
Hi! I'm from Texas! From her foster: Fifi is the sweetest and so very gentle deserving dog to find a patient family. She loves other dogs of any size and she reads them well to see if they want to play or be left alone. She has given all dogs and a cat here the time to get to know her on there time. She leaves our cat alone completely but they at times do go nose to nose for a good sniff and then go in there own direction. She goes potty outside on a schedule or if you are gone for a lot longer day than normal she is willing to use a pee pad if one is by the door she normally goes out. She has done no damage to our home and is left out at all times. She does have a dog bed in two areas of our house that she loves to use and also does sleep on our bed at times. She sleeps through the night in our bedroom. Fifi plays with dog toys and also enjoys a good bone. Once she gets to know you she trusts you but is still skittish with loud unfamiliar sounds or new people come by her. She will take time to come out of her shell but once she does you will see why rescue/adoption is so worth all the extra time that you spend with her to make her feel secure and loved. She loves the female adult in the house the most. They have spent the most time with her and she has a normal human/dog relationship with. She is still learning to trust the adult male in the home which doesn’t spend as much time with her. Whoever adopts her will need to know whoever lives in the home will have to spend time gaining her trust. Once you have it she will love and play with that person like any other dog. She is scared of a lot of extra movement so I would say she is a no for small children at this time. She would not hurt anyone, she just wouldn’t be as happy and relaxed. She is potty trained on a schedule and sleeps all night quietly. She loves to run around the yard when it’s warm enough for her. She prefers just a quick potty break if it’s really cold out. She most likely would do better in a home with another friendly dog but may do just fine. She seems to be more scared of men so if there is a man in the house that relationship will most likely take longer. From the vet team: It was discovered that I have degenerative joint disease likely secondary to hip dysplasia and possible fracture. I received an orthopedic surgery (FHO) to help with this and I have been doing well since the procedure!

Story
Hi! My name is Stella and I am from Arkansas. Stella is a beautiful 70ish lb black lab whose favorite hobbies include napping, wagging her tail, and chewing on squeaky toys. She loves meeting new people, she is so excited to show them her toys and to get pets from them. She isn't very fond of other dogs in our experience, so we would definitely recommend slow intros with controlled introductions (walks, through baby gates, etc) and a watchful eye to start. Stella needs to only be with older considerate children, she does not appreciate little ones who want to hug and be in her space all the time. She has not been tested with kitties, but we think she would do best in a cat free home. Stella has been on a weight management diet and she is doing great! Stella free roams in our house when we are gone, and we have had no issues! We fell in love with her instantly, and she loved us instantly too! We describe her to our friends as "the perfect dog", she is a great addition and is happy to just be near her people. If you are looking for a chill, SUPER happy, cuddly dog then Stella is the one for you!

Hi, my name is Kane. I am from Kansas. From his foster: Kane is an energetic, loving, curious, sweet boy with a lot of personality. He loves being with people and other dogs. He would do best in an active house hold or at least a fenced in back yard to play in. He would likely be good with kids, especially with close observation and training initially. It is unclear how he is with cats, but doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his body.

Story
Hi, my name is Brooke, I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Brooke is the sweetest and most mellow dog. She is house trained, doesn't go on furniture, jump up on people, and sleeps through the night in her crate. She loves getting her belly rubbed, curling up in a sunny spot, and would sit outside all day if you let her. Medical Bio: I arrived at The Bond Between after previously being hit by a car. I will need 2 orthopedic surgeries (FHO) which will require strict rest and at home physical therapy by my foster/adopter. I will also need to be spayed which will hopefully occur during my second FHO surgery. I also arrived with mammary mass that was surgically removed. The biopsy results came back as non-cancerous which is great news. My future adopter should monitor for any new mass development with a primary vet. I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during orthopedic surgery and heartworm treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of these at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.
