She loves riding in the car. If the weather allows, she’s a great dog to go on errands with. I think she’s happier that she was brought along rather than left alone at home. Millie is house trained and at this time she requires an insulin shot right after she eats in the morning and 10-12 hours later, with dinner-she requires special diabetic dog food. Approximate monthly cost of her medications and prescription food is $335. This is covered by the Rescue in foster care. She gets along well with other dogs she can be a bit too much for smaller dogs. and cats are unknown. She can be very vocal when hungry or when she has to go outside. Her best bet is a fenced yard that she can be just let out to go potty when she needs to.  Millie will need to continue to work with a Veterinarian to keep her diabetes regulated so she can live a long happy life.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Story
Hi everyone, my name is Wasp. At the moment, I'm the baby in the group. I’m a lab born 12/6/2022 with honey eyes. Sometimes I'll flash my sweet innocent eyes and my foster family will give extra cuddles, scratches, or treats! I'm good at potty training but once in a while when I go somewhere different, I might have an incident. I sleep in my crate but I would prefer to cuddle with my family members. I'm a great walker by myself or with fur foster siblings and I love to go for car rides. Sometimes I get to go shopping and I'm a good girl, I lay down in the cart and never make a peep. My foster mom has taught me to sit, stay, and be gentle. I love to play and wrestle with my fur foster siblings, I can play for a long time, and when I get tired, I'll just crawl into a ball either by bed, couch, or your lap. I normally stay close to my foster mom and I never run off where I'm not supposed to. I love to be with kids! My best bud is my 7 yr old foster brother Angelo. We are always playing outside. I can't wait to meet my new family so I can show them what I've learned so far and give them such love as I received from the family and friends I've met so far. Thanks for looking at my bio and hope to see you soon! A doption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate),   Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age , Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hi everyone! I’m Buddy, a happy-go-lucky black Lab with a heart full of love! I was born in February 2022, and even though I had a bit of a rough start, I'm ready to find my forever family! When I was a little pup, walking was a challenge. But my amazing foster mom came along and helped me on my road to recovery! My back legs needed some extra attention. My right leg was a bit weak and didn't bend much, so I used to swing it when I walked. But my left leg? It's super strong and works great! I've been doing physical therapy, which is lots of fun and includes toe wiggles and games (I might have given my foster mom a few ticklish licks during our sessions!). It's important for me to keep my left leg strong, and my foster mom thinks working with a professional physical therapist would be awesome. I can walk and hop pretty well when I go slow, but when I get excited (which is pretty often!), I sometimes scoot around like a happy little wiggle worm! I'm still working on potty training, but my foster mom has a secret: my tail! It goes straight up when I need to go potty, so she knows it's time for a break. Most of the time, I'm just too busy playing to remember! Slippery floors can be a little tricky for me unless I have good traction, and while I can do stairs, I might need a hand going down (those railings can be a bit scary!). But you know what? My spirit is unbreakable! I love *everyone* – kids, adults, and other doggie friends! (I haven't met any cats yet). I do bark in my kennel when I want attention, food, a potty break, or just because I'm feeling chatty! So, a home without shared walls would be best for me. Car rides are awesome, as long as I’m safely buckled up or in my crate. I even have a special 'Help Em Up' harness for all our future adventures together! Are you ready to open your heart and home to a special needs pup with a heart of gold? I can't wait to meet you and give you all my love! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
My name is Cordelia (my foster mom calls me Willow) and I made the very long journey from Afghanistan to Minnesota and am SO happy to be here! I am a loving lab mix gal (born 5/15/23) who loves to be around people.  I picked up walking on a leash quickly with the help of the resident dog.  He and I are pals now even though it took a few days to warm up to him.   I sleep in my crate at night in my foster mom's bedroom; as long as I can see her, I settle down quickly and sleep all night.  I only had one accident the first night I landed in MN, but have been totally potty trained since.  I stay in my crate while my foster mom is at work (8 hours).  Shoes and other household items are fun to run around the house with, but I am learning to play with only my dog toys.  I will need patience and training with my new family.  Foster mom here:  Cordelia (Willow) is a beautiful, lovely, smart girl who is extremely curious about everything.  She loves being outside and would do well in a home with a fenced in yard.  She likes walks but probably wouldn't be a good running partner with all the stopping she likes to do to smell, look, and experience new things outside.  She cowers when she meets kids (I imagine there is some history there) so would do best with slow introductions of children or a home without kids.    She is a gem and will be easily trainable with consistency, patience, and love.  Cordelia and I worked with a professional trainer and that trainer has offered her new family a greatly reduced 90 minute refresher session.  Great opportunity to bond and get started on the right paw! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Ezekial is an affectionate and energetic (but not too energetic) pup born around March 2024, who’s full of life and love, despite having only three legs—he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit! Ezekial is a cuddle enthusiast and a champion snuggler. He loves being close to his human and will happily curl up with you on the couch for some quality snuggle time. He adores people and loves getting all the attention they give him. He will be your best friend within minutes. Ezekial is good with dogs. He loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home, chasing them, and being chased. He will bark at them to get their attention when he wants to play. He is also great with the cats in his foster home. Ezekial will mostly ignore them unless he thinks they should want to play with him. Ezekial also doesn’t mind car rides as long as he has something to chew on to keep him entertained. If he gets bored, he might try to crawl into your lap. This playful boy has a passion for balls and squeaky toys and takes his job of destroying stuffed toys very seriously! He’s very treat-motivated, which makes training a rewarding experience for both of you. While he still needs some basic training and is working on house training, he's already kennel trained and sleeps soundly in his kennel at night. We are currently working on his leash manners. Ezekial loves to go nose to the ground and just sniff everything on walks. Though Ezekial has only three legs, it doesn’t hold him back—he runs, jumps, and plays with the best of them. He’ll need a forever home where his family understands his needs and can offer him the love and care he deserves. Ezekial is looking for a loving home where he can continue to grow, learn, and play. A family that appreciates his zest for life and is excited to give him the training and cuddles he craves would be perfect. If you think you could be the forever family Ezekial is dreaming of, come meet this amazing pup and see how quickly he captures your heart! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Byron is a stunning Husky/Lab mix who’s the perfect blend of snuggles and adventure. He’s happiest when he’s outside exploring—whether it’s long walks, bikejoring, or just soaking up the fresh air. After a day of outdoor fun, Byron loves to wind down with some quality cuddle time. Byron is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows commands like “sit,” “lay down,” and “kennel.” He’s a smart and eager-to-please pup who would thrive in an active home that can keep up with his love for adventure and outdoor activities. He does prefer bigger dogs but is fine also being the only dog.  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Meet Jim. Jim was born on June 10th, 2022. He was professionally trained and loves to love. He is still young, so has a lot of energy. He enjoys walks on leash, playing fetch (but mostly just running to the ball), snuggles and snacks. Due to our one year old son having allergies, we unfortunately need to rehome him. Jim will love you endlessly and is incredibly loyal. He is up to date on vaccines, including rabies and heartworm, professionally groomed weekly and is microchipped. Please reach out to me if you are interested in meeting him.

Story
Hi! I'm Gypsy! I'm a beautiful golden retriever mix, about 3 years old (born 10/2021). I'm at that perfect age – not a crazy puppy, but not a slowpoke senior either! I've had a bit of a bumpy start in life, moving between homes a few times. But I'm ready for my *forever* home, and I'm hoping you're the one! My sweet golden eyes are hoping to convince you that I'm the missing piece in your family. Because of my past, I do have some anxiety, especially when kenneled for long periods. But don't worry! I take a daily anxiety medication that helps me feel much better. It's super easy – just hide it in a pill pocket with my morning meal, and I gobble it right down! It's *very* important that I get this medication *every* single morning. It's not something I can take occasionally, and I shouldn't stop taking it suddenly. My foster mom strongly recommends I stay on it for life to help me feel safe and secure after my rough start. I'm a fun-loving girl! I adore playing with toys, kids, and most other dogs. I can be a little bossy with *some* female dogs, but I get along fine with most. Cats? I'm curious at first sniff, but then I usually just ignore them. I've been around cats in other foster homes and done well. I'm a fantastic car rider – I love watching the world go by! I'm also crate trained (I might whine a little when you leave, but I settle down quickly) and house trained. I'm the perfect blend of cuddly and playful. I'll happily snuggle up with you on the couch for movie night, but I'm also ready for some zoomies in the yard or a good run! Won't you please give me my happy ending? I promise to be your loyal and loving companion forever and always. I'm just a brown-eyed girl, waiting for you! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue.
