PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion. ##2106815##

Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. Story
Caesar and Simba, Simba and Caesar. What a pair! Caesar the long-haired tabby cat and his orange companion, Simba, are seeking a loving home to live out their golden years. They came to the shelter due to their owner moving for work and not being able to bring the cats along. Caesar and Simba are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They always play together, groom and cuddle together. Caesar is the more timid of the two and needs his friend, Simba, to gain confidence in new surroundings. Give Caesar a chance and he will prove to be a loving and loyal friend. Come adopt Caesar and Simba today! If you'd like to meet our available pets, please check the pet's profile to see if they are located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
