Meet Eli! He is a male 4 month old Plott Hound mix that weighs 16lbs. He came into the shelter with Liza, who may be his mom, we are not sure. They are kenneled together and enjoy each others company. Sweet Eli is so very handsome with brindle markings. You can't miss that sparkle in his eye and cute floppy ears! He has the typical puppy personality with a constant smile, wagging tail, and loves to play with stuffed toys and balls. His favorite thing is to take those toys to a fluffy dog bed. He will seek you out for sitting in your lap, with plenty of petting and slathering you with puppy kisses. Even as young as he is, he will sit and take treats very gently. He is a very special puppy and deserves his own loving family that will help him grow into the wonderful pup we know he will be. He is not bothered by the other dogs barking at him, but we do always ask if there will be another dog in the home, please ask the shelter for a dog test. Come spend time with Eli, you will definitely have a smile on your face.

Hi! I'm Kelso! I'm an approximately 1 year old, male, Brindle/White Plott Hound/Catahoula mix! I was found on 08/10/2024 near the Harbor off Summer Lee and never reclaimed. I am 100% a lover boy! I love warm hugs and love to give kisses. I will need a family to help me work on my manners and some training since I am still a young guy. I walk well on a leash and am food motivated! If you have another pet in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters and heartworm negative! All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. Meet Valen! He is a 2 yr old neutered male Catahoula Leopard Dog that weighs 51 lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/29 as a stray. He is a very handsome boy! Valen's favorite thing to do is to go on walks, having his nose up, taking in all the smells. A calmness comes over him and a bit of a smile can be seen. He enjoys being petted and loved on, and the longer you spend time with him the more he comes to you to seek out attention. He walks well on a leash, takes treats gently and wasn't bothered by other dogs that were barking at him. It's clear to see if he was out of the shelter and in his own loving home, away from all the noise, he would show even more of his wonderful personality. Be sure If you do have another dog in the home please ask the shelter for a dog test. He has a gentle and loving soul as it's clear to see, and would make a great family companion.
