Story
This is Bear, he is a super friendly and cuddly pup. He is about 10 months old and has a big personality. He has been wandering our neighborhood with a collar on for a little while and we took him in to try and find the owner. No one has claimed him despite efforts from many people in the neighborhood trying to find his home. He is crate trained and does well with our doggy door. He loves playing with our other dog and is super friendly, never seen him get mad or snap at her or us. He can be very playful but like any puppy, he calms down and wants nothing more than to cuddle up next to you or on you. We are looking for a loving new owner that wants a new best friend to have adventures with.

Prince Charming is a nickname Bryson has earned due to hisenchanting personality.Bryson enjoys people, dogs, playtime and life in general! He is a happy-go-lucky fella, who is likes meeting new people while on walks. His goofy ears and consistent smile will make all your neighbors envious that you have such a lovable dog.Though Bryson is crate trained, heaven on earth would be to have a soft bed next to yours (or even sleep in bed with you) because he adores his people so much!Bryson would do well in a home with a yard, a warm bed and maybe even a canine friend. Could that home be with you?Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). Story
Harper loves to be close! She is a one to two year-old plott hound/black mouth cur mix that weighs 63 pounds and arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 1/4 as a stray. She appeared to be timid in her kennel, but once she got out in the yard she came to life! .She was frisky and was attempting to entice me to play with her. She does fetch and retrieve balls. She sits for treats and takes them gently. She comes when you call her. She’s friendly, outgoing, active, and affectionate. She didn’t have a problem meeting other dogs. She walked OK on a leash. She would like to have a yard to stretch her legs in and to play in but would like to spend most of her time inside cuddling up with her new family.

Story
Meet Reese! She's a sweet happy girl with a lot of love to give. Reese is good with kids, cats, other dogs, and all people. She loves to play with her giant rope toy and lets out one big 'ruff!' when she needs to go out or is ready to come in. She loves a big dog bed or a nap on the couch. I met Reese on my first day volunteering at the animal shelter. She had been there an entire year sleeping on the cold concrete floor. (She was surrendered by someone who loved her.) Reese is a plot hound. I believe she went unadopted because she looks like a Rottweiler or pit bull. When we met four-year-old Reese, she was skinny and limping. Two years later, she's chubby and happy. When the weather is bad you can tell she hurts a bit, but it doesn't keep her from being happy. (She reminds me of me, lol.) She does have hip issues that are managed with periodic medication. It is heartbreaking that we find ourselves in a position to rehome her due to personal issues, but we are hopeful she will find the forever home she truly deserves. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Reese, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Gordon has grown up in our rescue. From tiny pup to a one year old good boy, Gordon is looking for a new foster home or with a forever family.  Not sure on his breed mix but he has a gorgeous brindle coat and a slim frame. Gordon enjoys playing with other dogs and getting belly rubs. He is potty trained and knows basic basic commands. (sit, focus and come). He loves to cuddle and hang out. He’s up for whatever you are!  He has not lived with kids but is very sweet and would do great in a family setting or with a single. He's an active guy and super sweet Cody's adopts dogs in the greater DFW. For a meet up, submit an online adoption application at codysfriendsrescue.org. You can use one application for several dogs. . ##1760794##
