Franky is an adorable sweet brindle boy, 1 year old and 47 pounds. He is all boy- rough and tumble and just happy all the time. Franky will be thrilled to have another playful dog in his forever home. A yard and active owner is ideal. Older kiddos are fine, too! He is house, leash and crate trained. To meet Cowboy Franky in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application. * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325 Dogs (over 12 months) - $275 Qualifications for Adoption: No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs. Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions. Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard. DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##1995570##

She's about 2 years old and weighs 45 lbs. From what we know she was kept outside most of her life, and because of this she was heartworm positive BUT she is taking her pills every week so she's on the right track! She is playful, silly, sweet, and cuddly. Her likes include treats, food, belly rubs, curling up into a small ball, and napping. Her dislikes include baths and carrots.Reese would do well as your only companion or would love having a furry friend to wrestle and play with. She is learning new things every day and is eager to please for treats! She is potty-trained and crate trained. She loves taking naps at your feet and chewing on bones. She waits patiently for her walk, but it's her favorite part of the day!! Shadow is a 1.5 year old hunting hound she has a huge story before and after her rescue with a very large following. She loves other dogs and seeks them out. She would do best in a home with another well behaved young active dog. She's been known to run but getting better and she currently wears a tracking device on her collar. She opens up pretty quickly but is very scared and shy without another dog . She was emaciated and on the run when rescued. She is now gaining weight and beautiful. Meet Eli! He is a male 4 month old Plott Hound mix that weighs 16lbs. He came into the shelter with Liza, who may be his mom, we are not sure. They are kenneled together and enjoy each others company. Sweet Eli is so very handsome with brindle markings. You can't miss that sparkle in his eye and cute floppy ears! He has the typical puppy personality with a constant smile, wagging tail, and loves to play with stuffed toys and balls. His favorite thing is to take those toys to a fluffy dog bed. He will seek you out for sitting in your lap, with plenty of petting and slathering you with puppy kisses. Even as young as he is, he will sit and take treats very gently. He is a very special puppy and deserves his own loving family that will help him grow into the wonderful pup we know he will be. He is not bothered by the other dogs barking at him, but we do always ask if there will be another dog in the home, please ask the shelter for a dog test. Come spend time with Eli, you will definitely have a smile on your face.

Beautiful Billy is one of a kind. Think dog/acrobat. He loves scratches just above the base of his tail. He is weirdly flexible and sleeps in all kinds of weird positions (see pics). His bark is more similar to a bloodhound's bay, and he sometimes howls if he hears another dog or sirens. He truly loves all dogs he meets even if they aren't a fan of his. He loves lounging in the sun on a warm day and chasing a ball around the yard. He is cuddly and loving and isn't quite sure of his size when he climbs into your lap (or maybe he is). ##1994769##
