Hi! I'm Kelso! I'm an approximately 1 year old, male, Brindle/White Plott Hound/Catahoula mix! I was found on 08/10/2024 near the Harbor off Summer Lee and never reclaimed. I am 100% a lover boy! I love warm hugs and love to give kisses. I will need a family to help me work on my manners and some training since I am still a young guy. I walk well on a leash and am food motivated! If you have another pet in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters and heartworm negative! All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. Meet Eli! He is a male 4 month old Plott Hound mix that weighs 16lbs. He came into the shelter with Liza, who may be his mom, we are not sure. They are kenneled together and enjoy each others company. Sweet Eli is so very handsome with brindle markings. You can't miss that sparkle in his eye and cute floppy ears! He has the typical puppy personality with a constant smile, wagging tail, and loves to play with stuffed toys and balls. His favorite thing is to take those toys to a fluffy dog bed. He will seek you out for sitting in your lap, with plenty of petting and slathering you with puppy kisses. Even as young as he is, he will sit and take treats very gently. He is a very special puppy and deserves his own loving family that will help him grow into the wonderful pup we know he will be. He is not bothered by the other dogs barking at him, but we do always ask if there will be another dog in the home, please ask the shelter for a dog test. Come spend time with Eli, you will definitely have a smile on your face.

He is house and crate trained, with the occasional accident (hasn’t happened in a very long time). He is great with other dogs and children, as he is gentle and submissive. He loves going to the dog park and going for walks; he’s even great on car rides. He is still young at heart so with that comes a lot of energy and excitement when he meets new people.
