Meet Feta, a 2 year old, 12 lb joyful and lovable pug-Chi mix (also known as a “Chug”). She came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Feta combines the best traits of both breeds! She has the iconic pug face, but as a mix, her snout isn’t as pushed in as a purebred pug’s. This gives her larger airways, meaning less snoring and better overall health for a brachycephalic breed. She’s also more athletic and heat-tolerant than a typical pug, with eyes that are well-protected, reducing some of the common challenges flat-faced breeds face. Her personality? Pure sunshine! Feta is playful, energetic, and full of happy-go-lucky charm. She loves every human and dog she meets, radiating friendliness wherever she goes. From her chihuahua side, she brings devotion, loyalty, and an excellent watchdog instinct, ensuring you’re never caught off-guard. Feta’s energy level makes her best suited for families with older kids who can keep up with her zest for life—toddlers and preschoolers might find her a little too much. She’s fantastic in the car, she is potty pad trained and is crate trained. When she’s not playing or exploring, Feta loves nothing more than snuggling with her humans and relaxing on the couch. Animal Profile: Tattie is a 20lb, 6-year-old female pug that found herself in need of rescue when she wound up in the Moreno Valley Shelter. We saw her profile, and knew we needed to get her out! A cage is no place to live for a pugtato. She arrives Sunday 10/20 and we are excited to meet her! We discovered Tattie is blind in one eye, but that doesn’t stop her from living her best life! Foster Update: Tattie is a sweet, sassy girl. She loves cuddles, cozy dog beds, soft squeaky toys and naps. She wants to be part of all the family activities. She is thriving with our daily routine and takes cues from other dogs. She snores rather loud but has a quiet bark that she rarely uses. She can be pretty sporty in short bursts. She doesn’t love walks and will not go potty just because she’s outside (apartment life wouldn’t be a good fit). She needs time to explore the yard. She likes soft treats but isn’t very motivated by food. She can go up the stairs but can’t go down them (we’re working on that). Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration. Charlotte Good with dogs, & kids. NO CATS. Great in kennel. Cautious in beginning with men but once comfortable, very loving. She is still very much getting comfortable with surroundings and will NOT walk on leash so will need a yard while she gets trained. She needs an adopter with patience as she is easily spooked. Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has a strong and very sweet spirit and will make someone's family complete. She LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of situation she came from other than neglectful, so lets find her the BEST home!! Only the best need apply :) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! HER LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!
