They are both quiet, a little reserved after all they have been through. They are oh, so happy to be in a foster home, as their wagging tails and perked up ears announce. They are both a bit chonky, love being petted and love to cuddle. Don't let their "low rider": legs fool you, they can scoot fast when they want to!

Meet Feta, a 2 year old, 12 lb joyful and lovable pug-Chi mix (also known as a “Chug”). She came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Feta combines the best traits of both breeds! She has the iconic pug face, but as a mix, her snout isn’t as pushed in as a purebred pug’s. This gives her larger airways, meaning less snoring and better overall health for a brachycephalic breed. She’s also more athletic and heat-tolerant than a typical pug, with eyes that are well-protected, reducing some of the common challenges flat-faced breeds face. Her personality? Pure sunshine! Feta is playful, energetic, and full of happy-go-lucky charm. She loves every human and dog she meets, radiating friendliness wherever she goes. From her chihuahua side, she brings devotion, loyalty, and an excellent watchdog instinct, ensuring you’re never caught off-guard. Feta’s energy level makes her best suited for families with older kids who can keep up with her zest for life—toddlers and preschoolers might find her a little too much. She’s fantastic in the car, she is potty pad trained and is crate trained. When she’s not playing or exploring, Feta loves nothing more than snuggling with her humans and relaxing on the couch. Feta is an absolute delight and the perfect blend of two amazing breeds. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion with endless love to give, Feta can’t wait to meet you! FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Iggy! He is a 3-year-old, 30 LB pug who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding his forever home here in WA! Iggy is quite the character! He loves doing tricks for treats and is very motivated to do just about anything with the right treat in your hand. He walks well on leash and is ready to go on any adventure you have in mind! He has also gotten along great with other dogs in our care. Iggy would love a forever home that is going to take him on daily walks and adventures, as he loves to get out and explore as much as possible. He will also enjoy hanging out on the couch with his people, but definitely needs to get his daily exercise as he has quite a bit of energy. This happy boy is going to make such a great adventure buddy! Iggy is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $600.

Animal Profile:  Tattie is a 20lb, 6-year-old female pug that found herself in need of rescue when she wound up in the Moreno Valley Shelter. We saw her profile, and knew we needed to get her out! A cage is no place to live for a pugtato. She arrives Sunday 10/20 and we are excited to meet her! We discovered Tattie is blind in one eye, but that doesn’t stop her from living her best life!  Foster Update:  Tattie is a sweet, sassy girl. She loves cuddles, cozy dog beds, soft squeaky toys and naps. She wants to be part of all the family activities. She is thriving with our daily routine and takes cues from other dogs. She snores rather loud but has a quiet bark that she rarely uses. She can be pretty sporty in short bursts. She doesn’t love walks and will not go potty just because she’s outside (apartment life wouldn’t be a good fit). She needs time to explore the yard. She likes soft treats but isn’t very motivated by food. She can go up the stairs but can’t go down them (we’re working on that).   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration.
