Story
Otis is a 4-5 year old, energetic, Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He is very sweet, and loves his booty rubs. He’s been through 3 homes, and needs to find his forever one! He needs a big back yard, someone who will take him on all the walks, and all the patience you have to offer. He is good about going outside, he’s good with other animals, but he likes to get into whatever mischief he can. As long as he has plenty of chew toys, he’s good to go! I recently got a new and more time demanding job and just don’t have the time anymore, unfortunately.

Story
Mac is a 10 year old, 66 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Yes, Mac is a senior gentleman with a distinguished gray muzzle, but he is still young at heart! Mac loves everyone, including his tiny human sister and his four legged brothers and sisters, and he play chase with one of the resident dogs. He's faster than you would think! He likes to bring his toys to his soft bed for nap time. He loves going on car rides and stopping at Sonic for his favorite doggie treat. Mac likes his routine, so he needs a calm, quiet, low activity home. If you are interested in an amazing dog who is beyond the challenging puppy stage but still a lot of fun, Mac just might be the guy for you! Mac qualifies for our senior adoption fee of $125.00. Please submit your application at www.humanetomorrow.org, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Summer was born approximately on July 7th 2021. She was found as a stray with open wounds on her legs and feet. Her owners were never found. She spent some time healing at a foster home and she did great. Friendly with people and children. Loved spending time with the family and snuggling and playing with them. She has been at the facility for some time now all healed and working on manners. She is improving her leash training and learning not to jump. She knows sit and understands the command NO. I love doing zoomies in the yard and spending time outdoors. She has made some friends at the facility. Slow introductions would be recommended. Summer is very smart and would be amazing once she gets in a home with a family that trains her and shows her love and security.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry

Story
Glory is a male Rhodesian Ridgeback mix.  He weighs 55 to 60 lbs and is about 2 years old.  His owenr moved and left him alone in a rental property.  The owner of the property loves animals and didn't want to take him to the shelter so we need to find Glory a forever home.  He is super friendly and loves everyone..  He is housebroken and crate trained and very eager to please. He is very sweet and laid back. He is good with children as well. He is the only dog but wags his tail when he sees dogs and he is submissive. He's such a sweet pup. he is kennel trained and house trained, though he loves it out of the crate..He doesn't destroy anything, unless you give him a stuffy ( stuff animal) and it will snow stuffing. Lol. He great in the car. Loves walks. He also likes chasing thrown tennis balls. He will curl up and be the biggest love bug. He truly is a awesome pup.   He has no known health issues. Applications to foster or adopt Glory are at codysfriendsrescue.org ##1991512##

Story
Meet Callie! Callie is a four-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She is super loyal and loving to her people. She loves to hang out inside with her people but enjoys rolling around in the yard and sunning herself on a pretty day. When her mommy and daddy had a baby, she was a little stressed out by all the chaos and, they knew she would be happier in a home where she did not have babies crying or toddlers invading her space, so she is looking for her forever home. She is currently staying with her grandparents while waiting for a forever family. She is up to date with vaccines, spayed, and has an appointment to be microchipped soon. Her anxiety is well managed with medication. She weighs 90 lbs and has been working on getting to her ideal weight with daily exercise and weight management food. She would love to accompany you on your own wellness journey if you too are looking for daily exercise! Callie LOVES her adult people. She will sit at your feet and hang out with you for hours. When she gets spurts of energy, she invites you to play and will go get toys and sticks you throw for her. She is not a big fan of giving them back to you, but loves the chase. She thrives when she gets her daily walk and would be your best friend if you took her on a neighborhood walk each day. She is super friendly to people and pets out in the neighborhood but needs to make your acquaintance before you come into her space. Her first family had babies and dogs, and she prefers life as the diva, free of children or other pets in the house. Callie is potty trained, and sleeps in her crate. She is the best at walking on a leash and aced her obedience training. She is super smart and learns quickly. She is the type of pup who will take some time to warm up to you, but will be very loyal to her new family. She will thrive in an adult-only household where she can be queen! Callie is so smart and loyal. Apply to adopt Callie today! August 19, 2024, 10:12 pm

Story
Willow is a 4.5 year old Catahoula Mix. Her birthday is approximately May 23, 2018. She is the sweetest, most loving dog to humans. She's empathetic and caring; She'll lick the tears off of your face when you're sad. She adores children and considers it her mission to keep them safe and happy. Tug-of-war is her favorite game in the world, although fetch is a close second. Her favorite toys are carrot shaped because she chewed on carrots as a puppy and grew an attachment (don't worry, some starter carrot toys will come with her). Willow has canine mega-esophagus, which means she needs either wet food or soaked kibble that she eats in her doggy high chair that she'll back herself up into at dinner time because she knows that's how she gets her food. She's reactive so when she gets over-stimulated, she gets aggressive with other animals(mainly other dogs) so she needs a home where it can be just her and her humans, with no other animals on the ground with her that she can reach. She's incredibly smart and learns tricks quickly. She knows all of the standards like sit, lay down, stay, heel, gentle, etc. She'll adorably paw at you when she wants pets. She's the perfect companion for the right furever home. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Willow is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.August 15, 2024, 9:45 pm

Story
Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Latte; I’m a 5 year-old Catahoula mix, weighing about 100 pounds. I’m pretty true to my breed: sweet, intelligent, loyal and don't really like negotiating too much. I need exercise and stimulation - but once I get that I am a couch potato just wanting to be around my people. I love car rides (especially going to Starbucks and getting puppuccinos) ! I love long walks where I can explore (I'm not a huge fan of buses and Amazon trucks but I am working on that). My real favorites, however, are treats, belly rubs, and hugs. I'll even show you a few tricks (I know how to sit and shake) if you give me a treat! I walk with my dog friends all the time with no issues, but I love my people so much that I prefer to be the only pet in the home.  My trainer (yep… I’ve got a pro trainer!) says since I am a confident dog, and small quick movements don't scare me I would be great around kids! I would always like a meet and greet first of course. I’d like to be with someone experienced with my breed, and willing to give me a bit of time to let me show them just how great of a dog I really am! I just need to settle in, adjust and get to know and trust you -  but once I do… I’ll give you SO much love. Please give me that chance! I’m working hard in my training to be the best dog I can be for you. My trainer said that, as part of the training program, he’ll even continue to work with my forever family at no cost (as long as you live in the DFW area). He loves and trusts me that much!  I can't wait to meet you! If you feel your home might be the right place for this VERY good girl, start with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes vaccinations and spay/neuter. Latte is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.August 15, 2024, 9:45 pm
