He likes to bring his toys to his soft bed for nap time. He loves going on car rides and stopping at Sonic for his favorite doggie treat. Mac likes his routine, so he needs a calm, quiet, low activity home. He is affectionate and loves to give kisses and cuddle with his people. He is friendly with every person he meets, but he is not a fan of other dogs. If you are looking for an only dog situation, Blake is an excellent choice. He would love to get all of his people's love, attention, and play time. Speaking of play time, he loves to play fetch, and any old ball will do, but he hasn't quite mastered the part of bringing the ball back! He is crate and potty trained. PLEASE READ ABOUT PAXTON We are searching for a family for Paxton who can foster him until he's ready to be adopted. Paxton will need a family who has some dog experience and who can handle a big, strong boy. He's very well-behaved and loving and snuggly. His only vice is the leash. He likely had some traumatic experience before he came to us and he's not a huge fan of having a leash on or having it taken off. He's been staying with one of our training teams, and they've made huge progress with him. He has come so far, but he'll need someone who can continue working with him. Without the leash, Paxton is a big ol' goofball. He loves belly rubs and is such a sweetheart. He enjoys playing with toys, and he's a huge fan of snacks. Timber is a 3.5 year old, 53 lb Catahoula mix. He was adopted from Humane Tomorrow as a puppy, and recently returned due to adopter's health issues. Be sure to check out his adorable puppy photo and how his spots have disappeared! His foster parents think he is one of the greatest dogs they have ever fostered. He is fully potty trained and sleeps on his own bed at night. He is not a fan of a crate but honestly doesn’t need one. He is very intelligent. He is a little timid when meeting new people and dogs but warms up quickly. Not sure on cats. He would be best suited in a home where the family is home quite a bit and/or possibly with another dog as a companion (he loves his foster brother Ranger) as he does not love being home alone. He loves walks, car rides and to lay with foster parents when watching tv. He likes to collect his toys and sometimes a shoe (but never chews them). He does not dig, chew or excessively bark. Bear is a two year old, 78 lb Catahoula mix, but breed mix is just our best guess. Bear's name fits him perfectly. He looks like a bear, acts silly like Yogi Bear, and is sweet and cuddly like a Teddy Bear. He is a regular visitor at Camp BowWow and loves playing with the other dogs. Bear is strong like a bear too, so he needs an adopter who can handle him on leash. His leash manners have improved a lot, and walking him on a harness is a must. Bear is potty and crate trained. He would love to sleep in bed with his people but is content to sleep on a soft dog bed in their room. We are recommending no kids under the age of 6, just due to Bear's size and strength.
