Story
PLEASE READ ABOUT PAXTON We are searching for a family for Paxton who can foster him until he's ready to be adopted. Paxton will need a family who has some dog experience and who can handle a big, strong boy. He's very well-behaved and loving and snuggly. His only vice is the leash. He likely had some traumatic experience before he came to us and he's not a huge fan of having a leash on or having it taken off. He's been staying with one of our training teams, and they've made huge progress with him. He has come so far, but he'll need someone who can continue working with him. Without the leash, Paxton is a big ol' goofball. He loves belly rubs and is such a sweetheart. He enjoys playing with toys, and he's a huge fan of snacks. Paxton is a handsome boy and just wants to be your best friend. We would like to find a family who would like to foster Paxton while he finishes up his training and care. He will be able to be formally adopted once he's finished everything ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Otis is a 4-5 year old, energetic, Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He is very sweet, and loves his booty rubs. He’s been through 3 homes, and needs to find his forever one! He needs a big back yard, someone who will take him on all the walks, and all the patience you have to offer. He is good about going outside, he’s good with other animals, but he likes to get into whatever mischief he can. As long as he has plenty of chew toys, he’s good to go! I recently got a new and more time demanding job and just don’t have the time anymore, unfortunately.

Story
Mac is a 10 year old, 66 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Yes, Mac is a senior gentleman with a distinguished gray muzzle, but he is still young at heart! Mac loves everyone, including his tiny human sister and his four legged brothers and sisters, and he play chase with one of the resident dogs. He's faster than you would think! He likes to bring his toys to his soft bed for nap time. He loves going on car rides and stopping at Sonic for his favorite doggie treat. Mac likes his routine, so he needs a calm, quiet, low activity home. If you are interested in an amazing dog who is beyond the challenging puppy stage but still a lot of fun, Mac just might be the guy for you! Mac qualifies for our senior adoption fee of $125.00. Please submit your application at www.humanetomorrow.org, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Sweet, handsome, fun-loving Blake is one year old and weighs 40ish lbs. We think he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix. He is affectionate and loves to give kisses and cuddle with his people. He should be ok with another dog about his same size, but if you are looking for an only dog situation, Blake is an excellent choice. He would love to get all of his people's love, attention, and play time. Speaking of play time, he loves to play fetch, and any old ball will do, but he hasn't quite mastered the part of bringing the ball back! He is crate and potty trained. Blake will be a super loyal and loving companion. To meet Blake, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
He is our family dog. We have had him for 6 years. He has grown up with my kids. He’s been wonderful. My wife has had a cough for about four years that we just cannot figure out. It seems that the most obvious things to attack first would be to eliminate any sort of allergens in our home. She is suffering and it is time to move forward with this. This is really hard for us. He also needs more attention. Our schedules are very busy now, and most of our kids have moved out. He needs a big yard and lots of walking. The only negative to ranger is that if there is a large group of kids and they are all playing in a rowdy manner sometimes his herding instincts have prompted him to nip at a couple of kids. We usually put him up in his kennel, if a large group of kids are playing rough in our home. Other than that, he’s literally the perfect dog.
