Hello! My name is Ernie and I am a tiny ball of LOVE who is looking for a furever person or couple who understands me! I have never lived in a home before so I am working hard at learning all sorts of new homelife skills and am a work in progress. I can be fearful of new people, especially small kids, so a quiet home with another dog to show me the ropes would be PERFECT! And speaking of perfect, while people are scary to me, other dogs and cats are great! I love to chew on bully sticks, play with toys and run a round the yard. Meet Tobey Maguire, a charming guy who is ready to find his forever home! Tobey is almost fully housebroken and gets along well with other dogs, making him a great addition to a multi-dog household. He’s particularly fond of his teenage foster sisters and enjoys cuddling up with them for some quality bonding time. Tobey is very affectionate with his foster mom, though he can be a little stubborn at times and may protest when asked to do something he doesn't want to do. He’s still getting used to his foster dad and can be a bit nervous around him, but with time and patience, he is learning to trust. Tobey has just recently started playing with the other dogs in his foster home and enjoys toys as well—his confidence is growing every day! Tobey's ideal home is one where his family is patient and willing to work with a trainer to help him build trust, particularly with male family members. He will do best with older children. His family must be ready to set boundaries to ensure that all members of the family experience his cuddly,  loving side. With the right guidance, Tobey will continue to thrive and become an even more loving and confident companion. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Jetson! This sweet Shih Tzu mix, born around July 16, 2023, has had a rough start in life but is ready to find a loving home. He and his friend Louie were living in a training lot for about eight weeks, essentially on their own and trying to survive in a tough situation, until things took a tragic turn. During their time in the VIA lot, Jetson’s friend Louie was sadly hit by a car, and another dog from their group went missing around the same time. Cold, scared, and desperate for help, Jetson and Louie were eventually rescued thanks to an experience trapper who brought them to our safety. Jetson is a shy but a sweet boy who desperately wants to be loved, though he needs time and patience to warm up. He does well with other dogs and will let you pick him up and hold him, but he’s still learning to trust. Jetson’s ideal home is one where someone understands the importance of giving him space to adjust at his own pace. He’s a gentle boy who just needs the right person to help him come out of his shell. Jetson’s adoption fee is $300, which includes his neuter, up-to-date vaccines, heartworm test, and prevention (ProHeart and Bravecto). Meet Grandpa.  Grandpa doesn’t need any long walks. He would be more than happy to lay at your feet or on your lap. Grandpa was a local stray. He didn’t have anyone come to claim him.  We are not sure why. He is just a sweet senior boy. He hasn’t had any accidents in the house so far.
