Hello world!  My name is Siobhan and I think we should all agree that I am the baby of the house.  I love when you cuddle me, snuggle me close, and cradle me in your arms ALL DAY LONG.  Not realistic?  Oh.  Can we just agree to lots and lots of tummy rubs then? Aside from receiving all the loves you’ll give me, I really like playing with tennis balls and my stuffed animals.  My foster mom says I’m a pro at my housetraining.  Zero accidents.  Score one treat for me!  And when she is at work I’m in my kennel all by myself for up to 5 hours a day with no issues.  Score two treats for me!  I even sleep in there at night.  Can I get a third treat for that?  I know basic commands such as sit and wait.  Leashes don’t bother me either.  Can we keep going with the treats please?  If you can't tell, I am VERY food motivated.  Watch my video of my foster teaching me "wait" and "go".  Yum! One thing I don’t really like is a lot of noise and activity, so I would like a space that offers some quiet and routine.  Being around other dogs and small animals or little people makes me nervous (teens are Siobhan approved).  So I think a home where I’m the only furry friend would make me happiest.  But do you know what that means?  I don’t have to share my toys or belly rubs with anyone.  Sounds like the perfect home to me! ##1995776##

Plus, I’m not the best on a leash and new things can make me a little nervous, so having a safe and secure yard where I can play without worry sounds like a dream. But let me tell you, when it comes to snuggles, I’m the absolute best. I’ll cuddle up with you for hours on end, bringing joy and warmth to your home every single day. I'm an 8-year-old female Shih Tzu, and I weigh about 12 pounds. At home, I'm mellow but love to make good use of the toy box, especially when it comes to my favorite squeaky and crinkle toys. My absolute favorite is the bacon toy! I'm pretty social and get along with everyone. I always try to include myself in whatever is going on. While I can be a little hesitant at times, I'm not fearful or shy. I adapt well and love being part of the action. I'm still working on my potty training, but I'm making progress! I'm also learning to be comfortable in my crate. I eat in there, and although I might cause a bit of a ruckus at first, I do settle down eventually. We haven’t worked on leash training so I do require a fenced yard in my forever home. Overall, I am fairly quiet, but will let you know when I am alarmed or need something. I weigh about 16 pounds and have a soft spot for being close to my people—though I’m not overly clingy, I do like to stay nearby. I’m a bit reserved at first, especially in new situations, but once I trust you, I absolutely love getting pets and attention. I am learning to be brave so will need a forever home with lots of patience. I get along great with other dogs, no matter their size, and I’d really thrive in a home with another dog to keep me company and help me feel secure. I’m still getting the hang of playing with toys, so I might need a little time to warm up to that. One of my favorite things to do is explore the outdoors in a fenced yard. I’m not leash trained and need more practice. I’m almost potty trained, especially when kept on a good schedule, so I’m really close to getting it right! When it comes to the crate, I’m not a big fan yet and might bark, so I’d do best in a home without shared walls while I work on getting more comfortable. I’d be perfectly happy with a single person or a couple who can give me the love and care I deserve. I would thrive in a calm home. Name: Jolene Breeds: Shih Tzu Mix Age: Puppy Sex: Female Size: Small Jolene is a 7 month old shih Tzu mix with a soft coat and a sweet disposition. She absolutely wiggles with joy for the slightest bit of attention. Jolene is playful and loves other dogs, interested in the kitties but not aggressive, and adores all people. Being a puppy house training is a work in progress still with some accidents as she learns the routine. She is cratetrained and does well in the crate for the workday and overnight. Jolene does not appear to shed so will need an owner who understands she will need to be brushed frequently to avoid matting and groomed every 6-8 weeks. Requirements: No special requirements Adoption Fee: $850 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives.
