Story
Lulu was rescued when witnesses couldn't stand the abuse they saw her endure. She and another dog in the home were beaten with belts. You may wonder if that might leave a dog too emotionally damaged to adjust to another home, but Lulu is a sweetheart regardless of her previous experience with humans. If Lulu is willing to give other humans a chance, we know the right people are out there for her! Lu is medium sized (a bit larger than a Beagle) and does prefer quiet people, but she is also playful and likes walks. If you want to know more about Lulu, email us here: wacvolunteers@gmail.com! * AGE: Estimated at about 4 years old * TEMPERAMENT: Loves to play and give hugs, but best in quiet environments * Why are they at the shelter? Rescued from an abusive home. * Any Health issues? * How are they with other cats? Dogs? Good with other behaved dogs * Volunteer Comments? " Lulu is a little doll!" Meet Peaches, a lovable French Bulldog mix with a dash of bully charm. This petite, playful girl may be on the smaller side, but her heart is as big as her personality! Peaches is an affectionate bundle of joy who adores everyone she meets. Whether it’s playing with other dogs or snuggling up to people, she’s always up for some fun and love. Despite her playful nature, Peaches has a bit of a challenge to overcome. She needs surgery to address some issues with her back legs, but don’t let that deter you—she’s a trooper and her vibrant spirit shines through! Peaches was found roaming the streets of River Rouge, but her days of wandering are over. She’s now in a loving foster home where she’s been thriving, though she can be a bit of a puller on the leash—no surprise there, given her adventurous past. With a bit of patience and training, Peaches will be a wonderful walking companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving dog who will bring endless joy and warmth to your home, Peaches is the one for you.
