Story
He is an American Bully with an easy going attitude. Lazy. Affectionate. Playful. Quiet. He looks like a seal or potbelly pig with his extra large head with cropped off ears and tiny legs. He is healthy (he has easy to manage seasonal allergies) and active, crate trained and house trained. Dog and kid friendly- He is fostered with dogs of every size, he does best with larger females since he can be bossy. Most male dogs try to challenge him due to his size. Cheeseburglar is a LOVER not a fighter, he barks for attention. He spends most of his days napping on a Quilt in the AC. Favorite Color: Orange Favorite Toy: Squeaky Duck Stuffy Favorite Food: Cheese HIS-STORY: This strikingly handsome low rider was caught sleeping curled up in the home office with the cats, 'caught' because he didn’t live there and had pushed open a door during a storm and made himself at home. He was put outside to wait for Animal Control, a ride to the county jail for trespassing. He was bailed out and efforts made for the past few weeks to local owners. Always surprised at who needs a second chance, this American Bully with cut off ears and a dominate personally, needs a confident family to give him rules and exercise. Cheeseburglar needed a few extra meals and medications for a skin infections from fleas (dermatitis) which has resolved. Now neutered, up to date on vaccines and testing heartworm negative.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cyrus had parvo at a shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized as there was no room to isolate him. A foster was able to take him home and provide the medical care he needed. Now he has recovered completely and is ready to find his forever home. He is a burst of energy and constantly wants to play. He gets along well with the foster's dogs. He would not do well with cats. He needs an owner that is just as energetic and has time to take him places to burn off all that extra energy. He is still cautious with strangers but warms up  quickly. He does dig under the fence so he needs a highly  enforced yard or someone who can take him out on a leash. He loves to play with toys and will run around the yard with them. He loves attention and knows how to sit, lay down, and crawl. The foster is currently working on stay. If given the chance he will be your best friend! Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ***Adoption Fee Sponsored*** Maya is a sweet, loving, goofy, blue and white, American Bulldog mix. She's friendly to everyone she meets. She is a sweet dog that's a huge cuddle bug.  She is very smart and understands many commands. Maya is a fan favorite of the extended family of her foster mom.  When her foster mom travels for work, the doggy nannies request to watch her. She loves to sit outside in the sun and go on walks with her people.  She would do best as the only dog in the home or with a male dog partner. She warms up best to calmer male dogs. She is a calm dog but enjoys running in the yard. Maya is currently being fostered in a country setting and doing very well. She enjoys walks in the woods and down the dirt roads.  Maya is house trained, and crate trained and does fine left loose in the house. She does have food allergies so eats a specific brand of food which is Blue Buffalo Basics.   Maya would be a great companion and family member. If you are interested in Maya, apply online to adopt her at Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi! My name is Nash, and LDDR is helping me to become the BEST boy that I can be. I love cuddles, and absolutely believe that I should be a lap dog. I love to cuddle in bed, on the couch, when you nap - really, it’s one of my favorite things to do! I like to lay my head on top of yours and get as close as possible. I am part dog, part weighted blanket! I also love to play with my doggy friends! I love having playdates with other energetic dogs. My BFF is a dominant female German shepherd, and I let her take the lead. I am not submissive, but calm and collected when interacting with other dogs. I even live with a Chihuahua, a very mean one, who sometimes tries to bite or be mean to me - and I don’t even growl back! I am nice to other dogs through the fence and rarely bark. Overall, I’d love to live with another playful doggy friend, and can live with small doggies with slow introductions. I lived with cats when I was younger and would sometimes chase them, but I’ve been neutered and *matured* since then. I spent over a year in a shelter-like boarding facility, which was not good for my mental health. I am now in a foster home, have been neutered, and am taking some SSRI’s to help with all of these changes. Medication can be used to help dogs during difficult transitions or in training, but may be used lifelong depending on the vet’s opinion. I have reduced my dosage since moving in with my foster mom and my doggy friends. I hope you’d be willing to meet me and learn more! You can come for a playdate and see how good of a boy I am in person! As I was a return to LDDR, the rescue will even pay for me to go do training sessions with my new adopted, as they want me to find my FUREVER home. They really love me a lot. -Nash Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. January 26, 2025, 5:12 pm
