Story
Give a very warm welcome to the one, the only, Maximilian! Maximilian is a sweet but sensitive guy who struggled a bit when trying to adjust to the hustle and bustle of shelter life, but with some words of encouragement, and some tasty treats, Max was able to show off his personality. He will need a family who can take things slow with him and allow him extra time to acclimate to his new home. Once you have made friends with Max you are sure to have a friend for a life. Max enjoys spending time with his people and being petted but likes to be handled on his terms. He would do best in a home with older children who will respect his boundaries and allow him space when needed. One of Max's favorite things to do is play with toys, especially ones that squeak. He would be thrilled if his new family could offer him lots of toys so he can keep himself occupied all day long. Max also enjoyed playtime with other dogs at the shelter and may like a doggie friend in his new home as well. Does Maximilian sound like the one for you? Stop in and meet with him today!Maximilian's ideal home:- Children 10 years and older, must meet children- Lived with cats in his previous home

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cyrus had parvo at a shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized as there was no room to isolate him. A foster was able to take him home and provide the medical care he needed. Now he has recovered completely and is ready to find his forever home. He is a burst of energy and constantly wants to play. He gets along well with the foster's dogs. He would not do well with cats. He needs an owner that is just as energetic and has time to take him places to burn off all that extra energy. He is still cautious with strangers but warms up  quickly. He does dig under the fence so he needs a highly  enforced yard or someone who can take him out on a leash. He loves to play with toys and will run around the yard with them. He loves attention and knows how to sit, lay down, and crawl. The foster is currently working on stay. If given the chance he will be your best friend! Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ***Sponsored Adoption Fee***Maya is a sweet, loving, goofy American Bulldog mix. She is 55lbs and 3 years old. She's friendly to everyone she meets. She is a sweet dog that's a huge cuddle bug.  She is very smart and understands many commands. She loves to sit outside in the sun and go on walks with her people.  She would do best as the only dog in the home due to wanting to be the dominant dog. She is a calm dog but enjoys running in the yard, so a fenced in yard would be best. She does have some slight dog reactivity when out on walks. Maya is house trained and crate trained but does fine left loose in the house. Maya has food allergies so eats a specific brand of food which is Blue Buffalo Basics. (Maya is spayed and up to date on vaccinations). Maya would be a great companion and family member. If you are interested in Maya fill out an application at Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue.  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
Pax came to us from a multiple-dog family, so he is good with other dogs. He's also great with the children in his foster home. He's looking for a forever home . . . how about yours? He is food motivated and an enthusiastic student when training. He rides comfortably in a car, is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He has been surrounded by a loving foster family but his public exposure has been limited. Obedience classes would be great once he's comfortable in a new environment. They would reinforce the training he's had, and would widen his world, showing him unknown humans are a source of positive attention and rewards.
