Hello, my name is Frodo or Fitzgerald! I’m a one year old happy energetic pup that’s listed as a Great Dane Mix. I’m overall pretty friendly with all. I am kennel trained and a great eater, which means I’m also fun to teach new tricks to! I would be best suited to go to a new home that has a schedule and lifestyle that I can be a huge part of. Since I’m young and full of energy I would do best in a fenced in yard or have the ability to have new activities I can be a part of like hiking or day trips to explore new places. I need solid leadership as sometimes I need to be a little recentered or refocused when I get over stimulated. Because of this, I would be best in a place without young children as I’m still a little uncoordinated from time to time and little kid energy is a bit confusing for me. Kids who are a little older and are interested in helping train me are definitely an exception. Basically from the get go I’m going to just need consistency throughout everyone in the household to help me learn the rules so I can settle in successfully. My current foster mom does in-home boarding at our house so I spend my days meeting new dogs and some new people, so I am pretty well socialized and very much thrive with all the constant stimulation. I do best meeting others outside my kennel in an open space, I tend to be submissive and take appropriate correction from dogs older than me, very well as I’m constantly learning ways to play with all different sizes and breeds. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Leia (6yo, 54 lbs) is a charming bulldog mix with the best ever underbite smile and corkscrew tail! She is an adaptable kinda gal with a preference for a home that has another dog, as she loves to play and rough house. Leia has been around all sizes of dogs and does well with most - with the exception of one dominant female she has met!  She is eager to please and a huge fan of humans so would also be fine in a home where she is the only dog.  If she thinks you aren’t paying attention to her, she will give a low growl and paw at your hand to remind you that she is “right there” patiently waiting for pets. She is not a lap dog, but she is well aware that humans have two hands and they should both be used when she wants to nuzzle your ears! Leia hasn't been on many car rides, so gets a little nervous at first with eyes focused forward but quickly relaxes and appears to enjoy watching the world go by.  She is both crate and potty trained. Does well on a leash. Long walks are not her jam, but she’ll play in the yard for endless romps with a buddy. She is super fast and a great ball chaser/retriever!  She loves treats of all kinds, chewing on bones (and shredding toys)! While "Indestructible" stuffies are no match for her expertise, she has never caused damage to personal items. Her previous home did not have cats, so unsure if she gets along with them. She did grow up with children, small dogs and never had any issues.  She is a very curious girl who is eager to please and will follow you around the house to see what you are doing and if she can help. I had taken Niya in from my cousin who was her original mother. She passed in 2022 due to cancer and no one would take Niya in. I also had a dog who was Niya’s brother but he has passed in the previous year. I have become financially unstable as I take care of 2 of my sisters who are job less. Because of this I have since been evicted and currently living with my mom who lives in a public housing support program and her place don’t allow dogs. I love Niya as my own but I no longer have the time for her as I work 2 jobs. Shes an amazing dog and very jolly and deserves all the attention. My cousin always loved her and I don’t want to give her away but I have hit a dead end and can’t do anything about my situation.

Welcome Buddy to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 2-year old American Bulldog and Australian Cattle dog is our best guess on the mix. He has a lower coat and does shed. He is a bit of a puller on leash when he first gets out of his kennel. He is intelligent, affectionate and ready to learn. It doesn’t appear he would be hard to train but may have not had a lot of training in his first home. He would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker. He is sturdy and could keep pace and would love to join his human. He is in my opinion a perfect man dog. He loves men naturally and leans in to show his affection. He hasn’t been reactive on leash when walking around other dogs. He is social and not afraid of new people. He is exuberant so we think he would be best around children that are 8 or older. He would do great with an active family that wants an active companion. He does slow down and likes to chill out as well. He is not perpetual motion. He is getting neutered soon and is already getting his vaccinations and will be chipped. He is hw negative and ready for his forever home. This handsome guy is Ocho, a 7-year-old American Bulldog/Boxer mix ready to find his forever home!Ocho is quite the catch as he is as low-maintenance as dogs come. It doesn't take much from his human(s), sometimes its just a smile, to make his stub of a tail wag and let you know he's enjoying life.Although he may look serious, this boy is a total goof and the sweetest of dogs. Ocho will make you smile daily, but especially when you come home or he sees someone he knows and jumps/dances with his legs straight to do the funniest of taps. He's a tank but surprisingly light on his feet!Ocho absolutely loves his people and when he knows you, he trusts you for life. He may take a moment to warm up but once he does, he'll be rolling over for belly rubs and snuggles with the biggest of smiles. He loves to sit next to you or against you when given a comfy spot to rest.Ocho would ideally like to be the only dog in the home, so he can keep all the attention for himself. While he currently lives with a dog and does well, when he meets new dogs he can be overly excited. He much prefers calm, confident female dogs. He loves the occasional short play with her and enjoys a good walk but doesn’t need one. He’d be down for a hike or time in the yard (his recall is great). He has also previously lived with cats but would need slow introductions and supervision to re-introduce him to felines.Ocho has a history of living with kids and reportedly did okay. Since coming into rescue, he's shown that he's not a fan. For this reason, it is best that Ocho finds a forever home that does not have children in the household and we recommend slow and supervised interactions when he encounters them in the future. Ocho isn't a big fan of chaos and would prefer a chill home to spend his best years.Besides his family, what Ocho loves most is a ball. Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m a 6-month-old mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!   I’m the goodest boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups.   I’ve been polite around cats and can happily share a home with them. I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a quieter home without kids, as loud noises make me anxious.   I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. Hey, I’m Cherokee, I believe we can be best friends! I’m a Mountain cur, boxer mix but my momma thinks I’m just a mega mutt which is like the best breed ever in my opinion. I am such a sweet lover boy - who doesn’t love a lover boy? I am a little bit more of an emotional boy. I love hugs and cuddles. I am a typical puppy who loves to play. I love other doggos and would do best in a home with another dog friend. I am a smart pup who is kennel trained and doing so well on potty training. I sleep through the night in my foster momma's bed and will not move or have an accident; I just cuddle up as close as I can get to her. I am very food motivated and have learned to sit and then wait. I should be able to learn any trick you have the patience to teach because I would do anything for a treat. I have started playing catch with a ball as well and will even bring it back! I’m basically the best dude ever and look at me aren’t I adorable?? Anyway, I can’t wait to meet you!!!!
