Story
Torchy is a courtesy posting and not an Animal Rescue of the Rockies dog. But his foster asks that all interested individuals fill out our adoption application.   Five-year-old Torchy has touched his fosters’ hearts with his sweet and silly ways. Once the 45-pound white beauty felt comfortable in their company, he opened his own heart, and now he LOVES licking them, cuddling and snuggling, and playing with them. He also loves engaging, often too exuberantly, with other dogs. Torchy LOVES going for walks - they're the absolute highlight of his day! He enjoys chewing on Nylabones and playing with soft, plushy toys, but what he loves most is his wobble Kong, giddily getting into boxing matches with it! Known to prance around the house and strut when he walks, he’s equally famous for lying on his back with his legs in the air, as an open invitation for belly rubs, paw-lease. Motivated by love, toys and food (he’s passionate about people food), highly intelligent and easy to teach, he knows “come”, “sit”, “down”, “stay”, “off”, “no”, “touch” and “leave it”, accepts his favorite Charlie Bear biscuit treats gently and loves relaxing inside his crate with the door open. He's leash- and house-trained. Torchy has graduated from a 4-week board and training obedience program through American Canine Academy. They offer free lifetime training support to adopters. For Torchy to thrive, he requires a strong but loving “pack leader” to continue his training, and keep him mentally and physically satisfied fur-ever.December 22, 2024, 11:36 am

This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post.   Freckles is a 2-3 yr old female Pitty mix. She is just a big squishy love bug! She loves people and gets along with other dogs. She gives the best kisses!!  I wouldn't recommend her with cats, though. She would do well as an only dog, but is also okay with other dogs her size or larger.  She is spayed, UTD on shots, fully vetted and HW negative, and weighs about 40 lbs. Please email scottnbecky0503@yahoo.com with "Freckles" in the heading if you are interested.   December 22, 2024, 10:52 am

Story
Lieutenant Barclay takes a little while to trust a new owner, having been through the shelter system. However, once he bonds, he is the best canine companion in the world...loves to play tug of war, goes crazy for treat time, and is a professional snuggler. He is about 4 years old and is a pit bull terrier/boxer mix. He is good with other dogs, cats, and older children after he gets acquainted. He can be a bit intense at first with another dog, but it's because he wants to play! He vacillates between high energy and lazy/cuddly. He is up-to-date on shots and medical check-ups and does not have any health issues. We are heartbroken having to rehome him, but we are leaving the country longterm and can't take his breed with us to the country we are headed to. We want to find a loving home for this loving guy!

Story
This is Koto, a sweet sweet boy! He is a 3 y/o Pit Bull approximately, and I adopted him from a shelter in September of 2022. I am moving out of state and I have not been able to find a place to live, or even a place I can take him with me. I do not want to give him up, but at this point I see no other option. The home I give him to will specifically: Be a woman only household Will be active in hiking, walking where he gets to go with you and take trips to the dog park Will allow him to sleep in the bed with you and allow him on the furniture Keep him as an inside pet Not kennel during the day Have another dog (optional but would be great for him!) He is a young dog and has not had a very good life so I have to know that he is going to the best home. He is very afraid of men and has clearly been abused so I would not want him going to a home with men straight away. He is very scared and timid at first but he will come out of his shell!

Story
Sweet Diamond is a little staffy momma ready to be polished up and treated like treasure. Diamond prefers hanging out at home listening to The Tortured Poets Department on repeat. Diamond is 3 years old, has already had some kids, and is over it. She is not the dog to hang out on a brewery patio or go on doggy play dates. She is a quiet girl searching for a place of her own with a yard. Diamond does not want to live in an apartment where people or dogs can surprise her on her way out the door. Diamond came to My Fairy Dawg Mother along with Spot, the white pup in these photos. She’s ok with him, but this girl would be happiest to hang out at home alone with you. She wants to show off her skills at walking on a leash (amazing!) and sitting (prompt!) and even standing up (see the photo!). Diamond is an American Staffordshire Terrier, about 42 pounds. She’s fully grown. She is, sadly, not allowed to be adopted in Aurora, due to the BSL that was put in place this year. Staffy and other bully type terriers are extremely loving and sweet, but require extra knowledge. As her person, you will often have to advocate for her safety. If you are interested in adopting Diamond, we will support you, happily, in understanding how to have a bully-type dog in your life, particularly one who had a rough start. Her former owner used a very heavy hand with her, so she can be reactive and cautious. But if you are gentle with her, and provide her a secure and safe environment, we know she will sparkle! Ready to meet this absolutely beautiful little gem of a dog? Please fill out an adoption application at MFDM.org

Patricia is a sweet girl who can be a little nervous in new environments and around unfamiliar people, but with time and love, she opens up and becomes a loyal companion. She has lived well with older kids and enjoys their company (we recommend kids 10+). Patricia may do well with another calm dog in the home, but sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll need slow introductions as sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a bit afraid of new dogs. With patience, she will thrive and bring plenty of love to her new family.December 21, 2024, 11:38 am

Story
This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post.   Aries is a 8-9-year-old, 80-pound American Bulldog/Boxer/Pit Bull mix. He is a gentle giant who is great with older kids and adults. He knows common commands and walks well on leash. He will need some ongoing training to prevent pulling on the leash towards wildlife such as squirrels, rabbits, or deer. He is very calm and checks in with his handler often. What our volunteers say: “He is so kindhearted and considerate of people.” “One of the calmest dogs ever.” “Gentle giant is definitely the best way to describe this sweetie!” Aries would do best in a home without other dogs, cats, or young children.
