Story
Gizmo was rescued from the streets of Texas where he was dumped by his previous owner. He languished there for a few months while a kind woman fed him eash day but was not able to take him in. Circle 2 Rescue stepped up to save this handsome boy and quickly got him to a vet. At his vet appointment we learned that Gizmo is heart worm positive. The treatment will be covered by the rescue. In his temporary foster home, Gizmo has been an absolute delight! His foster mom introduced him to the neighbor's puppy and Gizmo was so patient and well behaved, even though Gizmo was playing with his ball and the puppy was jumping all over him. Gizmo showed remarkable patience. He has been kind and respectiful of her young kids with closely supervised encounters and is well behaved in the house. His foster mom said he is a dream on leash and he loves to play fetch, even bringing the ball back to you! (this was before we knew he was hw positive). He is so happy and excited to see his foster mom when she returns from work each day from her teaching job. She said he makes her heart feel happy. These things indicate the Gizmo was likely a beloved family pet at one point in his life and he must have been so confused at being abandoned. But he hasn't let his hardship affect his happy attitude. This boy is a love!!  His heartworm treatment is not complicated but involves about 3 vet visits over the course of 3 months.  Gizmo weighs 52 pounds but needs to gain a few pounds. Whilte the vet was not certain of Gizmo's age, he said he is "more than 5 years old" so he could be 5 or he could be 8 or 9 years old. We will try to get a more definitive age for him. If you would like to adopt, please complete an application  at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue.  ##2304740##

Story
At about 10 months of age, Bentley has matured into such s great dog! And so handsome with his sleek, black coat. His current owner is gone 10 hours a day with his new job and doesn't have the time that Bentley deserves, Despite being alone all day, Bentley is a good boy and doesn't get into mischief when his dad is gone even though he must be bored. He is all alone in the house with no interaction for humans or other animals. Bentley is such a good boy that he doesn't need to be crated and has free roam to the living and kitchen area. He has been friendly and congenial when meeting other dogs in the neighborhood but hasn't lived with another dog. His first owner lost his job and then his home and was living in his car. Bentley's current dad took him in so he wouldn't have to go to the shelter but knows that he deserves someone who can spend more time with them. He is about 45 lbs. Meet Lucy, a dog with an infectious personality that brightens up any room she enters. She's sweet, friendly, and always ready to make you laugh with her playful antics. Lucy loves playing fetch, long walks, and providing endless entertainment with her funny, joyful nature. Lucy can be selective about her canine companions, so she's recommended for an introduction at shelter if considering a multidog home, and she will only be placed with children 10 or older. Story
There's so much to appreciate about a senior dog! They are who they are, they're content with a more relaxed exercise routine, and they lounge well. If that's your speed, too, Libby may be a perfect fit for you! Libby and her big ears are hoping to fly out of the shelter and into your home following this transitional phase of her life.Libby has become a favorite of our volunteers. They've told us that she is easy to walk and attentive, especially when she knows they have treats because Libby LOVES treats. She will sit politely without being asked, loves being petted, and when taken to one of the play yards, she seems to know the "come" cue. Libby has enjoyed many sniffy adventures during her time here, and now it's time for her to enjoy all these experiences in her new home.Libby may enjoy opportunities for casual recreation with other dogs, but at this time, she will only be placed in a home without other canines. So if you are looking for that movie night companion to sit and snuggle with perhaps Libby is just what you are looking for. Meet this sweetheart today! Story
Ginny is a super sweet girl who we have had since July 2024! She came to us as a stray dog who spent the first 1.5(ish) years of her life on the streets and she has been spoiled rotten ever since. Ginny loves every human and dog that she meets but is not cat-friendly. She loves to sit outside to watch the trees and the squirrels, and will gladly cuddle with you any day or night. She is house trained and knows the commands sit, wait, and come, and walks well on leash and off leash. Her ideal home would be either an only-pet home with humans that are home bodies and able to give her constant love and enrichment or a home with another doggy friend she can play with when she wants to.

Tallula is a loving, cuddly, and energetic dog who deserves a home that can give her the attention and care she needs. We want to ensure she goes to a responsible, loving owner who will provide her with stability and a happy life. For serious adopters, we will be conducting a meet-and-greet interview to find the best fit for Tallula. We will document questions and responses to ensure she is placed in a safe and suitable home. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting Tallula, please reach out. We are happy to answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.

Story
Jedi is a six year old front leg tripod pitty mix. I am just fostering him right now, but I have known him almost his whole life. He is the sweetest, silliest boy who wants to have a good play sesh and then snuggle up on the couch. He is very well potty trained with never an accident. He is crate trained and loves spending time in his kennel, I am told by neighbors with no crying or anything. He is GREAT with my cats and adores them, but gives them space when they want it. He is great with other dogs too, large and small. Because he is a tripod, he does require more medical care than the average dog. We have just done X rays and blood work, all looking very good! But he has arthritis in his front elbow and takes joint pain medication, but still gets around great. Everyone loves this guy, he has such a big personality!

Story
Meet Jedi: A Loving, Goofy Tripod Looking for a Home! 🐶 Age: 6 years | 🐾 Breed: Pitbull Mix | ❤️ Special Feature: 3-legged superstar! Jedi is the sweetest, silliest dog who loves people, kids, dogs, and even cats! He thinks he’s a lap dog and will cover you in kisses. I rescued him as a puppy, and after an accident, he lost a front leg—but it hasn’t slowed him down! He’s full of love and has so much life left to live. Due to past aggression issues, he’s been living with my cousin, but now he may no longer have a place to stay. Sadly, rescues won’t take him, and I fear he may be put down. He deserves a second chance with a patient, loving owner who will give him structure and stability. His rescue is willing to provide behavior training support to help him succeed. Please help Jedi find a safe, loving home! Contact me at kaylawarden1@gmail.com . Even if you can't adopt, sharing could save his life. ❤️

Story
This bright-eyed, joyful angel came into our lives a couple years ago as a puppy and has been a constant source of entertainment and a fun-loving adventure buddy. Appa is going to be 4 in July and has the curious, intelligent mind to match. He is a snuggler and supreme little spoon. We have tried everything to be able to keep him but some devastating life impacts have made the impossible real. We are hoping for a home that offers him sweet love and snuggles, as he deserves. He would be so happy for a doggo sibling/best friend, but is also a great only child. In our experience he loves to be around kids too and has made more than one friend this way. He knows several commands and is currrently working on leash training. He has lived in both a house with a yard and a walk up condo.
