Story
Keto is looking for a foster home...  email eaplevergreen@eapl.com if you can foster her. Keto is an amazing dog who loves people and other dogs. Not cats though. She does amazing when she goes with me to PT. She lies right by the table and doesn't move. She walks wonderfully on a leash and loves to go for short walks outside, in the store, or wherever an adventure takes her. She ignores everything with a simple command of "leave it." Her downside.....she has extreme separation anxiety that requires a daily dose of Paxil. She would do best with a foster/adopter who is home most of the day or who she can go with on errands or adventures. Identified triggers other anxious dogs or the teapot whistle.  What happens when she has a meltdown- she gets destructive ripping apart blankets, beds, and pillows. Chewing on metal bowls peeing and pooping inside. Whatever happened to this girl before being rescued has traumatized her greatly.  With proper behavior modification training and the right people, she will be the best dog ever.    Why am I looking to move her? Because I travel for work and don't have the time she needs. I will find tools to make it work until the perfect fit comes along. I believe she deserves so much more! I have other dogs that are feeding off her anxiety as well and one of my little dogs suffered a broken leg as a result of my dog feeding off Keto's anxiety thus stepping on the little dog.    Again, Keto is an amazing dog in every other situation. She needs the right person and another dog would be fine as long as they are not anxious.   Is Keto the right companion dog for you to foster or adopt?  Do you have what she needs?  She has the love to give you back 10-fold!  Put in an application at eapl.com or to foster her, email us at eaplevergreen@eapl.com March 4, 2025, 2:49 pm

Story
Hi! I am Harper! I am a 5 year old mix. My family has all kinds of nick names for me - Harper charper, chips, chappy, thicks, etc. I have found myself in a pickle and searching for a new home because my older doggie sister and I dont always see eye to eye.  I have a 3 year old human brother that is my best bud. He’s always respectful around me so we spend a lot of time hanging out. I try to get the cat to play with me too but she never goes for it. I don’t chase her or anything, just want a cuddle buddy! My favorite past time is cuddling under a blanket, preferably in front of a warm fireplace. My family isn’t the outdoor type but I bet I would like going on adventures. I don’t like when other dogs walk behind my house.. I have jumped a 4ft fence one time so now I require supervision for my outings. But other dogs at a dog park? No problem! My family is heartbroken and they will miss me because I’m (usually) a very good girl! If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $200 and I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations for my age ##956877##

Story
Maya is a sweet gal but can be worried about the world. She`ll benefit from a gentle guardian who will understand her need to take things slow. A quiet home without a lot of hustle and bustle will be ideal. In her previous home, Maya lived successfully with another dog and often looked to that dog for comfort, so would likely enjoy another canine companion in her new home. Due to Maya`s initial hesitation with new people, HSBV will only rehome Maya to a home with kids 12 years of age and older.
