Story
Our Yugi is a shy boy, who takes a few minutes to warm up, but then he becomes an exuberant blast of fresh air, and one of those rare rescue dogs who can give an active family their Disney moment. He is a glorious Blue Nose Pittie boy who came to us recently from an overcrowded NYCACC, where he quickly became a statistic: just one more homeless Bully fated for the inevitable. Just four years old, Yugi was facing euthansia. When we saw his shelter picture we were moved to tears. He spent some time as a city stray, and when the Animal Control Officer brought him to the shelter, he was emaciated and in rough shape. He came to us for nutritional rehabilitation, and treatment of an aggressive upper respiratory infection. Yugi snapped back easily and has blossomed in the Connecticut fresh air.  Yugi could join an active adult home, with folks who have the time to focus on his ongoing obedience training. He would be a good addition to a multi-dog home, with other energetic pups, provided attention is paid to maintaining calm and reinforcing good behavior. Cats are usually a dicey combination with any Terrier, and Yugi might chase them beyond their comfort level. Yugi has good house manners and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during his transition to a new home. He is in good health and at a healthy weight, which should be maintained at about 65 to 70 pounds. Yugi has been neutered, and is up to date on vaccinations and health screenings.  If you are interested in Yugi, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Story
Mocha is an amazing young pup (about 1.5 years old) that landed in a TX shelter for unknown reasons. While there, she was a staff favorite because she was incredibly friendly and happy. Her infectious smile would light up the room. We simply had to give this girl a second chance, especially since she is so easy going and loves the company of humans of all ages, as well as dogs.  Mocha is currently being treated for heartworms, a curable disease common in the south if prevention is not used. She is microchipped and up-to-date on her shots. Mocha is also house-trained and great on a leash. She will be on transport to the area at the end of the month.  The only thing that's missing is a family to treat Mocha like the princess she is. Could that be you? April 12, 2025, 11:59 am

This dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for BINGO. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. His adoption is FREE to approved home. Looking for a loyal companion? Meet Bingo! This 2-year-old mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, and American Staffordshire Terrier will win your heart with his devotion and playful nature. Weighing in at 40 pounds, Bingo is a medium-sized bundle of joy who loves nothing more than to play fetch and chew on his beloved stuffed toys and Nylabones. Bingo's unique charm shines through in his quirky habits. He absolutely adores ice cubes and will eagerly run to the fridge with you for a treat. He also has a soft spot for pup cups from Starbucks. Despite being mostly deaf, Bingo is a smart cookie and responds well to hand commands like place, sit, down, and stay. He's a graduate of The Dog Wizard of Knoxville, and his training can continue with his new family. Bingo is fully potty trained and will ring bells hanging on the door to let you know when he needs to go out. He's also crate trained, making bedtime and alone time a breeze. Although he enjoys the company of his person, he can be a bit anxious around sudden movements due to his hearing loss. Bingo thrives in a one-person household where he can be the star of the show. If you're ready for a sweet, smart, and devoted companion who will bring joy and excitement into your life, Bingo is the perfect match for you. Give this lovable pup a forever home where he can truly shine!    Interested in adopting? A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. November 6, 2024, 2:12 pm

Heath came in as a stray. He is part of a litter that animal control has been trying to catch for the last couple weeks. Hershey has been the only one to go in the trap so far. He is a sweet boy who was so scared in the shelter environment. We got him out as soon as he was cleaned up and ready to go. He is a gorgeous chocolate brown color with beautiful green eyes. He received his DA2PPV, Bordetella, NexGard Plus, Dewormer, Toltrazuril x 3 days. Apply at allpawsondeck.org Must be 21+ to apply Sorry we cannot adopt to MA

Story
J j j... What starts with J? Jolee, Jojo, Jagger and Jacie are sibblings, about 2 months old, around 6 to 8lbs, sweet, loving and spunky puppies. They appear to be pit bull mixes which is an umbrella term for any variety of bulls and terriers. They should be on the medium side, 40 to 60lbs when fully grown. Boys tend to be bigger than girls. They are happy, wiggly, and always up for an adventure or a snuggle. Apply at allpawsondeck.org Must be 21+ to apply Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA.

Story
Canada came in as a single stray and was immediately placed into a foster home. His foster mom describes him as a fun, spunky puppy who loves to get human attention. We’re sure there is probably some bully in there somewhere, but Canada has a short, pudgy muzzle that makes us curious as to what his breed mix is. He has received his DA2PPV vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, and has received three days of Toltrazuril. Apply at AllPawsOnDeck.org Must be 21+ to apply Sorry we cannot adopt to MA
