🌟 Meet Minnie: The Warrior of Love! 🌟 Minnie, our resilient pitbull mix, has been waiting far too long for her forever home. After a previous adoption, she was returned due to her high drive and territorial challenges. But don’t let that intimidate you—this girl is a sweetheart at heart! ❤️🐾 Currently thriving under the care of a dedicated trainer, Minnie is learning how to coexist with other dogs and making remarkable progress. However, she needs an experienced owner ready to invest time and effort into training and socialization. We emphasize the need for strong leadership and clear boundaries in her life. Important: Minnie is currently wearing a muzzle during interactions with other dogs to ensure safety for everyone involved. She’s demonstrating exceptional decision-making skills, proving that with the right guidance, she can overcome her challenges. Minnie deserves a loving, dedicated home where she can flourish. Are YOU the one who can give this incredible girl the second chance she’s been waiting for? In return, she’ll fill your life with joy, companionship, and endless cuddle sessions! 🛋️💕 Don’t wait—let’s find Minnie her forever family! #AdoptMinnie #PittieLove #RescueDog If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
This beautiful girl is ready to be the STAR of your life!⭐️ Star is an approximately 5 year old female pittie girl. She is petite in frame and just a sweet, gentle love. She has been THRIVING in her foster home and now she is ready to find a family of her own!😍 This sweet girl loves belly rubs and laying around the house or outside in the sun. She is a BIG fan of stuffed animals and can be found carrying them around the house! Her foster mama has been teaching her how to decipher between kid toys and dog toys but sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference🤪 When asked about Star’s personality, her foster mom says “you will absolutely fall in love with this girl. She is sweet and just wants to be close to you! She is low energy and crate trained, and all she wants in life is a warm bed to lay her head on, and infinite belly rubs.”💕 Star is great with other dogs after proper introductions and has a dominant play style, so she does best with patient playmates who aren’t easily offended😉 She would do well in a home with or without another pup, and would LOVE to have kids in her forever home - she thinks they’re pretty awesome. Star would make the perfect companion for just about anyone willing to give her a chance.🐾 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Spot is such a good boy! This 1 year old pittie boy is so, so happy. He loves to play with other dogs, and will be a lap dog if you let him! Spot is crate trained and sits at his crate door to wait for food. He was picked up abandoned on a dirt road, but was very friendly to his rescuer. There are special dogs, and Spot is 100% extra special! ❤️🐾 This sweet boy is heartworm negative and fully vetted including all shots and neuter. Pitties are often overlooked, so don't make the mistake of overlooking this amazing boy. Story
Meet Rip! ♥️ This big ole baby is a 3 year old pit bull. Rip loves snuggling up on the couch with you while you’re watching tv. He loves his two foster brothers and loves playing outside with them. When his brothers aren’t giving him any attention he entertains his self with toys or finds a comfy spot to take a nap. Rip is a very mellow boy and mostly low maintenance. He enjoys spending most of his time snuggled up somewhere sleeping soundly. He loves everyone he meets and loves his person a little extra special. Rip does not like being alone very long as he does have a tad bit of separation anxiety. He is very food motivated… will do just about anything for a treat! Rip would be best in a home with no children or older children, as sometimes he forgets how big he actually is. Rip can't wait to meet his new family. 🎉

Story
Gertie is a little pittie mix who will capture your heart with her underbite and puppy head tilts. She loves other dogs and has learned to respect the cats in her foster home. She loves her foster family as well. She greets each day with a happy heart and the innocent exuberance of a young puppy. She never meets a stranger and enjoys curling with her foster dad at night to watch tv. She plays hard with her doggy friends—runs in the pasture, swims in the pond, chases the ball, etc.—and sleeps hard at the end of the day. In fact, she puts herself to sleep for naps and at night! She adores a car ride and sits politely in her foster mom’s lap to look out the window. She will be a medium size dog when fully grown but she has an extra large heart! Her foster mom says she will make a great family pet or a wonderful companion dog for a couple who leads an active life. “Gertie’s gift,” says foster mom, “is her incredible capacity for love.” If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.
