**My adoption fee is waived thanks to the generosity of a donor.** Chencho5 years oldAmerican Bully Have you ever dreamt of having your very own house hippo? Well dream no further! Chencho is the chunkiest house hippo on the block and is ready to dazzle you with his ample good looks and charm. This large couch potato would make a great companion in a variety of households as long as there are plenty of scritches available for him! He is not a fan of sharing his favorite things, so he would do best in a home without young children. He might be able to live with another dog with plenty of management. Chencho seems to have some allergies so it will be important to have a close relationship with a veterinarian to keep him feeling his best. Regardless, he promises to wiggle his way into your heart in no time! If you think you are a good fit and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
This sweet and sensitive girl`s name is Nala. While Nala would like to live up to her namesake being the queen of the jungle, she is still just a lion cub! In reality, our girl Nala is a bit worried when it comes to trying new things. Nala`s dream is to have a family that can help her slowly expand her comfort zone with lots of patience. Nala will need an adopter to help her navigate her challenges on her own time. When Nala is comfortable, she becomes the squishest and snuggliest pup in the pack! Due to Nala`s needs, she`s looking to be the only dog in a low traffic home(she`s not ready to live with dogs, kids or cats right now!) so she can be the main focus! If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Meet Quinn, the adorable 10 month old pittie pup! Quinn might seem a little worried when you first meet her, but give her some time, and you`ll see her true playful and silly self shine through. She`s a typical rowdy puppy who loves to run, jump, and play, bringing endless joy and energy into your home. While Quinn is still learning to be comfortable with close handling, she is super sweet and mushy with those she`s comfortable with and her needs are met. She would do best in a home with a tolerant adult dog who can show her the ropes or with dog-savvy cats who can appreciate her spirited antics. If you`re ready to welcome this bundle of joy into your life and help her build confidence, come meet Quinn! She`s waiting for a patient, loving family to call her own.*Quinn is currently in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in meeting Quinn and learning more, please go to the Boston Adoption Center during open hours and speak with staff. Santini has excellent manners and is house trained and crate trained. She would love to show off everything she has learned including sit, stay, down, and heel (for a treat of course)! Santini is happy to fit into her humans' routine and picks up quickly on new commands. She is very accommodating, walks well on a leash, and corrects/redirects easily. Santini loves to play, but is also happy to hang out with her people around the house.Santini would do best as the only dog in the house with an experienced dog owner who can maintain consistent boundaries and expectations to help her succeed and feel reassured. She is an athletic gal who loves to chase after balls and show off her signature ‘hopping prance’. She would love to have a fenced in yard or a local fenced in area so she can show off her moves! When she has finally expended all of her energy you can find her searching for the best sunbathing spot to take a snooze in. Santini is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be loved and make you laugh with her goofy antics. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.November 12, 2024, 2:06 am
