Story
MEET LUA!!This sweet lady is a gem! When Lua came to us she was a little timid so we think she`d do best in a patient home that can give her some time to adjust! After settling in, Lua has shown herself to be quite the social butterfly! She has had some great playdates with other dogs and loves getting attention from all of our volunteers. Lua`s new family should be prepared to teach her some basics since Lua is only a year old but she is quite the smart lady and we think she will be pretty easy to train with consistent positive reinforcement! If you`re looking for an energetic young lady, look no further than Lua!Lua is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Lua or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

Santini has excellent manners and is house trained and crate trained. She would love to show off everything she has learned including sit, stay, down, and heel (for a treat of course)! Santini is happy to fit into her humans' routine and picks up quickly on new commands. She is very accommodating, walks well on a leash, and corrects/redirects easily. Santini loves to play, but is also happy to hang out with her people around the house.Santini would do best as the only dog in the house with an experienced dog owner who can maintain consistent boundaries and expectations to help her succeed and feel reassured. She is an athletic gal who loves to chase after balls and show off her signature ‘hopping prance’. She would love to have a fenced in yard or a local fenced in area so she can show off her moves! When she has finally expended all of her energy you can find her searching for the best sunbathing spot to take a snooze in. Santini is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be loved and make you laugh with her goofy antics. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Bounce is the girl for you! She has a fantastically low-key personality, is low-maintenance in terms of exercise (she's happy with a leisurely walk or spending time out in a yard rolling in the grass and enjoying the sun,) and mostly just wants to spend time with her humans, even if it means simply snoozing at their feet.Bounce is fully crate and house-trained, non-destructive, incredibly intelligent, and highly motivated by treats so you can bond with her over doggy snacks while teaching her some new tricks. Although Bounce may be a little shy around unfamiliar people or places, she looks to her humans for reassurance and enjoys weekend outings to Home Depot, where she can proudly display her exceptional leash-walking skills. Bounce thrives on the love she gets from her family and would be happiest as an only pet where she can receive ALL of the attention and affection. Whether you work from home or in an office, have a fenced yard, or live in a denser area, Bounce will adapt easily to her new home as long as you can provide Bounce an abundance of love and snuggles! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Ken is a cuddle bug and can be very active w you. Ken is a strong runner but will stay w you as he loves his humans. He needs exercise to manage his zoomies. He loves the beach, lakes, etc and is ok in water, etc. Ken also has discovered ice this year and loves run and slide on ice and dig on the ice. He is very curious, very observant, and will do well in agility training, frisbee, and dock diving. He has high jumps and enjoys doing so. He loves to play w his toys like a puppy! His favorite toys are loud squeakers and soccer balls, even deflated. Ken loves enrichment games but gets frustrated w puzzles. Ken does not mind some rain and wears a winter coat easily. Ken does have some limited hearing which causes him anxiety in new situations. Reassurance and slow intro to new things helps.

Story
Honey hasn’t had the easiest life. She started off with an owner who was young and not prepared for the challenges a dog can bring. For the past three years she has been showered with love and treats in my care. But due to our current living situation I can no longer keep her and I am heartbroken. Honey is roughly 10 years old, a young energetic 10 year old. She is often gets mistaken for a puppy. We’ve worked on walking on the leash which can still be a challenge. But when it comes to running she can go for miles. She’s intelligent, goofy, and cuddly- all things attributed to pits. A few issues that have presented themselves are face licking, jumping, and reactivity to other dogs while walking. I’ve never had her in the house with another dog but judging by her reaction outdoors I think it’s safe to say she needs to be in a single dog home. And due to her jumping I think children are also at risk. In the short time that I’ve had her I’ve loved her endlessly and she has brought me joy.

Story
MEET NIKKI!Nikki came to us several months ago with injuries. After a tail amputation and lots of TLC, she is finally ready to begin the search for her new home! This little peanut is full grown at only 30lbs and we like to call her `frenchie-adjacent`. Despite her short stature, her personality certainly packs a punch and she just about steals the hearts of everybody she meets! She loves to push her bed to a sunny spot to snooze, but she is also a `zoomie-queen` and will do the most hilarious little hops like a bunny when she is excited. She is learning to trust people and other dogs again, and everything must be done slowly and on her terms. She may do well with other tolerant pets at home, but she would be perfectly content to be your one and only. This sensitive princess would prefer a low-traffic enviornment outside the city, and needs an adopter who is willing to be OK with a dog who uses pee pads since she doesn`t always feel comfortable going outdoors. If you are looking for a homebody with low excercise needs, and lots of love to give, Nikki is your girl!Nikki is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Nikki or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. Story
This is Storm. I adopted him from a shelter when he was 5 months old and he just turned 1. He is a super affectionate dog who loves to cuddle up and snore. He is also really playful and is coming into his teenage crazy. He is content most days to lay around and chew his bone and he is always up for play time with our other dog. Storm is house trained and crate trained. He has basic commands down and working on solidifying recall and heel. He lives with another dog and goes to daycare which gives him plenty of socialization. Although he does have his grumpy moments and wants to be left alone, he loves belly rubs and to just sit beside you.
