Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours.I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I'm available for Trial Adoption! What my friends at OHS say about me:I am silly, young boy full of personality - sweet, goofy, and oh-so-ready to be your best buddy. Whether it's snuggling up for a cozy cuddle or bouncing around with my favorite toys, I've got tons of love to give.I love my human friends so much and can't wait to find my forever family to shower with love and plenty of playtime.I had so much fun meeting another dog here in the shelter. My friends at OHS think I would be great at making new dog friends!I love a good snack, can you blame me?! Snacks are a great way to make friends with me and teach me fun tricks.I am deaf which just means I'll need a little extra patience and care when we're learning new things together and while getting settled into my new home and family.Resource Guarding: I have a history of guarding my people, food, toys and/or bedding from other animals or people.High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.I have a neurological condition that may require long term management. While at the shelter, I have displayed an episode of having an abnormal hind end gait and abnormal pupils. My friends at the shelter are keeping an eye on me and I'll need a family who's ready to be my advocate and take care of me as I adjust, but I'm still the same goofy and loving dog I've always been! The type of home I'm looking for:My history is a mystery! My friends here at OHS don't know if I've ever lived with other animals or children. It could be with you! Story
Hello, I’m Brix, but you can also call me Bubba! I am a healthy and strong 62 pounds and approximately 2 and a half years old. I am loving, calm, affectionate, and empathetic. My favorite activities include playing with tennis balls and chew toys, taking long naps, and enjoying car rides! I thrive best in a house rather than an apartment complex, as I can be reactive to certain people and dogs. I have a wonderful personality and can sometimes be quite the snorer when I sleep. While I do need some extra leash training and socialization, I would be best suited for a home without cats due to my larger size and clumsiness.
