Story
Introducing Mercy! This little sweetie was rescued from an overcrowded TX shelter and made the trip to Wisconsin in hopes of finding a forever family. Mercy is a 8 month old puppy who weighs about 25 lbs. Mercy’s foster mom says she’s a mellow girl that has a sassy twist when her puppy spirit kicks in. She also calls Mercy her puppy shadow because she wants to be near her all the time. Need an audience while using the bathroom? Mercy is your girl! Mercy is also the best cuddler! When it’s nap time or bedtime, she wants to snuggle as close to you as she can get. And if that means being on top of you, she’s ok with that too. Mercy is a little shy when you first meet her. But once she’s comfortable with you, she becomes your best, most loyal friend. Mercy loves to play with other dogs and is great with kids. She is working hard on potty training and her puppy manners and she’s doing a good job but still needs some encouragement. She is not a huge fan of her crate but is learning it can be her safe place. Mercy is a puppy and does need patient reinforcement with her potty training and puppy manners. Her new family should be committed to taking the time and having the patience to teach Mercy to be the best girl she can be. Mercy is up to date on vaccines, flea/tick and heart worm prevention, is microchipped and spayed.

Story
·Intake Reason: Came to WCHS as a stray-Weight: 87 lbs Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: UnknownHi, my name is Otis and I am a big hunk ‘o love. I came to WCHS as a stray and I would love to make my home with you. I am a big, strong, strapping guy who likes to stay active. I am hoping for a family who can provide plenty of physical and mental exercise each day. I may look like a big tough guy but must confess that I am mostly a marshmallow when it comes to humans; just a lover-boy at heart. I am friendly and playful and would love to be your constant companion. It would be great if we could take some classes together so I am rock-solid on manners and am welcome everywhere we go; I would be honored to be a spectacular breed ambassador. I have had the pleasure to be part of the rowdy playgroups at WCHS and enjoy a good romp. I tend to be a skosh dominant with the other male dogs and favor hanging out with the ladies; honestly, can you blame me? I am a smart guy who will work hard to make you proud; my goal is to please you. I am looking for a BFF and promise to be loyal forever. I hope you stop by to meet me in person because I always enjoy meeting a new friend. Perhaps you will gaze into my soulful eyes and realize that we were meant to be together.#2

All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 2, 2025, 9:25 pm

Story
Bailey is a very loving girl! She likes to play, run, and go for walks. She is very active, so she should go to a home with active family members. Also, she is trained to walk on the treadmill for those cold winter days. She is very curious and wants to check everything out. She loves to learn new things, especially if there is a treat involved. She is crate trained and house trained. She knows how to sit, stay, lay down, shake, go-to-bed, and come. She gets along well with cats and other dogs and has never shown any signs of aggression.

Story
Henry is the sweetest, most snuggly, cuddle bug you’ll ever meet. He is about one year old and we adopted him as a playmate for our other dog. Unfortunately, after four months, we have decided that Henry really needs to be in a one dog household where he is the ruler of attention and doesn’t need to share his toys with anyone. He’s been a challenge to potty train, but we feel it’s due to having to share our attention with his puppy brother and cat siblings. It breaks our hearts to think about rehoming him, but know this is the best for him and for us. If you have room in your home for a bed hog, Henry is your fella!
