Story
***NEEDS FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Kimberly, ID INDIE is a 2.5 year old, 40-lb kelpie/cattle dog mix with medium energy. INDIE is a very affectionate and playful dog. She loves being in the backyard where she can run the fence and bark with the neighbor dogs. She loves to spy on them through knot holes in the fence and call them over. INDIE is food-motivated and very eager to please. Indie is doing well with basic commands, but she is not a loose-leash walker. An over-the-nose leash helps her not pull as much on our walks. Indie has a high prey drive - she even helps me in the garden by catching grasshoppers and voles. INDIE loves everyone she meets, especially children. She is not crate-trained, but is well-behaved when I leave her home alone in the house. She sits by the front window and watches for me to return. She loves looking out the window to see what is going on. Whether you left the house for 2 minutes just to take the trash out, or you were gone for hours, she will greet you with great excitement when you come back in. Indie is very social and loves to play with other dogs, but she is selective. Slow, proper intros are best. Indie would thrive with a family with children, a large fenced-in yard, and a companion dog to play with. Indie's foster will sponsor 50% of the adoption fee. Apply to meet Indie today! BACKGROUND: Former ranch working dog that got injured. She was turned in by her owner to the rescue with a healed (formerly broken paw ), pregnant, and living outside. Momma INDIE is so very grateful to be out of the blizzard conditions when she was rescued. She had even dug a hole in the frozen ground to keep her seven pups warm and safe before she was rescued. Story
MEET RICK: Your Loyal Companion Rick has endured more than his share of challenges, spending 8 months surviving at a Boise-area landfill before being rescued. Now, this sweet and resilient pup is ready to leave his past behind and find his forever family. Rick is about 1 to 2 years old and weighs 38 lbs. He is a compact little guy with a loving, gentle nature. He gets along well with other dogs with proper introductions and has blended nicely with the pack at his foster home. While he hasn’t met cats yet, he’s done well around young kids and is eager to bond with people who will shower him with kindness and patience. Rick is potty-trained, and although crate training is still a work in progress, his intelligence and eagerness to please make him a fast learner. He’s a “Velcro dog,” happiest when he’s by your side, and his low-key, chill personality makes him a wonderful companion around the house. Because Rick can be sensitive to raised voices and is still learning the ropes, he would thrive in a calm, understanding home that can offer him love, stability, and the guidance he needs to continue blossoming. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back, and loving dog to be your partner in life, Rick might just be the one. Are you ready to give this sweet boy the home he’s been waiting for?

Story
Meet Monty, Monty Moo Cow! This super cutie has a soft and snuggly thick coat, great house manners and the sweetest habit of holding his toys with his paws while he nibbles on them. He’s a happy-go-lucky lover boy with an affinity for smooching! We think Monty is an Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador mix. He is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses! We estimate his age to be just over a year old, and he currently weighs in around 60 pounds. Fall in love with Monty here: https://youtu.be/T4h7I8O-E2Q?feature=shared Monty is currently fostered in a loving home with two big pitties and two tiny chihuahuas. Small dog friendly! He does well with everyone in the house- playful with the younger playful pups, and respectful with the older, slower dogs. Here at the rescue, he did wonderfully with the other dogs she met. He was a good sport with our playful big dogs, playful, forgiving and sweet. In his forever home, we think Monty would be happiest with a medium to low energy tolerant dog that will play at times, but respect Monty’s medium energy. He settles well after playtime, and plays in short bursts before settling. His foster mom describes him as calm, a very good boy, and a fast learner. Here at the rescue we saw a huge improvement in his leash skills in just a few moments of work- he really is such a fast learner. Monty is treat motivated too, and a gentle treat-taker. Monty is really sweet the moment you meet him. He can be a little unsure and shy at first, but soft voices and a few treats warm him up quickly. He loves to snuggle his foster mom, and even sat in our laps here at the rescue. Such a sweet boy! Monty is a total toy lover too! It’s impossibly cute to watch, he likes to hold his toy in his paws and chew, or chase the toy as you toss it. Knowing Monty’s gentle and sweet personality, we think he would enjoy residential or suburban life more than city life. He could live with other dogs, but we don’t recommend him for a home with kitties. We think he could do well as a family dog with kids over ten years old! We are willing to test Monty with anything you need us to in order to ensure he is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67aa32eba85a617db0056f39 Questions? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! **MEET TANNIS: Your New Adventure Doggy!** Tannis is an adorable, 3 1/2 mo old female pup that we believe may be part Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog blend. She is a cuddly little pup who’s ready to bring joy and love to her Foster-To-Adopt home through PAWS Rescue inc. (Foster-to-adopt means you’ll foster Tannis until her vetting is complete, then fill out an adoption application to officially adopt her. You must be located between Idaho Falls and Boise to use our vet clinics.) This sweetheart is a bundle of energy and affection, with a love for the great outdoors that’s hard to match. Whether she’s running, jumping, or playing, Tannis is always on the move, exploring the world with her curious and playful spirit. But don’t let her playful nature fool you—Tannis is also a quick learner! She has already mastered basic commands and is eager to please. Like all puppies, she’s still learning and will need a patient, understanding family to guide her as she grows. But with her intelligence and willingness to learn, she’s already making amazing progress! One of Tannis’s favorite things? Snow! Her pictures show just how much she loves frolicking in the winter wonderland, making her the perfect companion for Idaho’s snowy seasons. She’s a true winter pup who’s always up for an adventure, no matter the weather. Tanis has been lovingly socialized with a variety of animals and people. She’s spent time around rabbits, chickens, other puppies, her siblings, children, and adults, and she’s done exceptionally well with all of them. Her exposure to different environments and experiences has helped her become a well-rounded, friendly, and adaptable pup who’s ready to meet new friends on her journey to her forever home. ***Another younger dog to play with and fenced yard is required….No exceptions.***

Story
**Currently Fostered in Woodinville Wa** Sweet girl Wenatchee. She is the social butterfly who will love you your dogs, your cat your kid anybody and everybody. She is a little over a year old so still has that puppy energy but over the potty training phase!. She is a cutie and tiny girl, only weighing about 30 lbs! Wenatchee is a very intelligent dog. Her DNA test found that she is Australian cattle, Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd, poodle and Chihuahua. The chihuahua keeps her small! She’s so fun to train because she loves to learn and loves to make you happy. She catches on so well with new tricks and has been really getting my personal favorite, which is heal. Wenatchee loves cuddles and nothing more than to be around you when at home. She loves to play and would do best with another dog to play with in the home . Her being part working dog she will need mental stimulation as she loves to job. A dream home for Wenatchee would be someone with another moderate or high energy dog or dogs, a kid and family that has time to training her. Her foster mom is working with her to be calm in the home and let the crazy be outside. Wenatchee isn’t to keen on loud noises, mainly being buses semis those kinds of noises so is not the best fit for the busy city life or apartment living, she would much prefer to live in a home with a yard. She is a great fit for someone who loves to hike, run, or keep busy outside! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6628fa9794200099050ec189 Please email jacquelynn@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada. Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! If we had to choose one word to describe Ryder, it would be thoughtful. This 1 year old pup takes his time to watch, observe, and then decide on his next move. Ryder is exceptionally intelligent and quick to pick up new skills—he’s always a step ahead of his siblings when it comes to learning. He knows how to sit and wait patiently for a treat. He is also a very good alert dog. He has a deep bark but only barks when necessary. Ryder is fully housebroken, crate trained, and uses the doggy door like a pro. He’s also a big fan of water! Whether it’s dunking his whole face in a kiddie pool or playing with the hose, he can’t get enough. When it comes to walking, Ryder is a dream. He’s well-behaved on a gentle leader head collar leash and is generally calm for a puppy his age. He’s a sweet snuggler who loves to be close to his person, always wanting to stay by your side. Ryder has a knack for learning from his surroundings. He watches the older dogs and picks up on what gets them corrected—then chooses a different, more favorable way to behave. He’s treat-motivated and shows off his impressive leaping skills when he’s excited—he can look like a flying squirrel, leaping gracefully for a reward! Ryder has been well-socialized and has done great meeting other dogs, cats, and even children. He’s a well-rounded, agile, and loving pup who’s looking for his forever family. Story
Meet Betty – A Sweet, Mellow Kelpie Mix Ready for Her Forever Home! Betty is a 1-2-year-old spayed Australian Kelpie mix with a heart of gold and a personality that wins everyone over. Whether she’s a Kelpie, Shepherd, Husky, or Collie mix, one thing is certain—she wears her unique look with style. Pictures don’t do her justice; she’s truly a beauty to see in person. This laid-back girl has been an absolute angel with the boarding staff and even became a favorite at the vet’s office—so much so that the staff has visited her at boarding just to take her on special outings. She walks beautifully on a leash, loves her toys, and is incredibly smart, making her eager to learn and bond with her future family. Betty does well with smaller dogs but would need a proper meet-and-greet before finalizing any new friendships. She was surrendered due to life changes through no fault of her own and is now ready to find a loving home where she can truly shine. While she has shown some resource guarding in boarding, this can be managed with proper training and structure. Her Kelpie instincts are starting to show—when she sees goats, she doesn’t chase them as prey but instead seems to want to herd them, which is true to her breed’s nature. Kelpies are intelligent, energetic, and highly trainable herding dogs, known for their ability to move livestock efficiently, even running over the backs of a flock to get to the other side. Betty is an affectionate, fun-loving companion who will thrive in a home where she gets love, guidance, and activities that engage her sharp mind. Could Betty be the perfect fit for you? Meet Spook – A Loyal and Intelligent Kelpie-Heeler Mix Looking for a Fresh Start! Spook is a handsome, five-year-old Kelpie-Heeler mix who is ready to start a new chapter in life. After losing his owner, he found himself in need of a loving home, and now he’s looking for a patient and understanding adopter who can help him build trust and confidence. Spook was previously a backyard dog, with limited interaction outside of his owner. Because of this, he can be a bit cautious when meeting new people. However, once he learns that he is safe, his intelligent, loyal, and devoted nature shines through. He will need slow introductions and a little patience, but for the right person, he will make an incredible companion. As a Kelpie-Heeler mix, Spook comes from breeds known for their sharp minds, strong work ethic, and unwavering loyalty. With guidance and positive experiences, he will thrive in a home that understands herding breeds and their need for mental stimulation and structure. Despite his initial shyness, Spook has so much potential to be a wonderful companion. He is highly trainable, eager to bond with his person, and would do best in a home where he can gradually learn to trust and enjoy new experiences. A calm environment with a secure yard and an adopter willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace would be ideal.
