Story
Let Cami be the queen of your castle! She is such a sweet, shy girl who wants desperately to be loved and we have no doubt that she will steal your heart. She enjoys peaceful activities with her people. (Check out her fishing adventure in Minnesota last winter!) It's going to take Cami a bit to trust and she'd appreciate a home where there aren't a bunch of visitors coming and going. While she can be picky about her canine friends, a super social dog might just do the trick. Of course, Cami would be perfectly satisfied being your one and only, too. Either way, she promises to love you to the moon and back! Cami's around eight years old and is a very polite house guest. She's quiet, doesn't get into things she shouldn't, and already knows to do her business outside. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Cami. She's staying with us in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #socute #happy

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Renee (renees@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.  Stevie, Slinky and Stuart were born in a shed and raised with little human contact or enrichment. They are now in loving foster homes learning how to be a carefree puppy, cuddled, walked, fed regularly and often to put on some weight. We do know the mom is a heeler and dad is a border collie so experience with herding breeds is a plus if you are considering these pups for your family. They are smart, like to be kept busy or have a job, so training will be critical to their ongoing growth and happiness. Stevie is blooming every day being fostered with other canines and cats. She is a great explorer of her environment (inside and outside) and learning to trust and seek human attention. Stevie is not opposed to forced snuggling on the couch and loves head, ear and belly scratches. She sleeps through the night in a kennel near the humans – it’s tough going from a pile of siblings to sleeping by herself and she’ll happily tell you all about it. Car rides are new and a little scary right now. She will get the hang of it with more opportunities. Stevie will need patient, loving and fun humans to continue to teach her all the good things about puppy manners and living in a family. Approximate Birthdate:   November 2024 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.     For more information please fill out an application.     CONTACT INFO The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA) Web site: tarasdream.org Adoption Information & Applications: https://tarasdream.org/adopt Upcoming Adoption Events: https://tarasdream.org/events Email: email@tarasdream.org February 5, 2025, 3:34 pm

She is unsure what to do about the older, smaller dog in the home – is he a puppy or no? Slinky seems to miss the interactions of her siblings most as that is all she has known. She would do well with an active and playful canine in the home to guide her to more acceptable play other than just wanting to play rough with smaller dogs. Slinky enjoys the attention of humans and is learning that it is safe to seek them out. Car rides are new and a little scary right now. She will get the hang of it with more opportunities. Story
Meet Blue- Your New Best Friend! Blue is a lovable and playful Blue Heeler mix who is lookin for a new home due to his owner developing an allergy. At just the right age to enjoy life to the fullest, Blue has a lot of energy and affection to give. He's fully vaccinated and chipped (though not register), so he's ready to join his new family! Blue is smart and knows several basic commands, so he is quick to learn new tricks! He loves staying active and playing games, especially in the snow- he could spend hours running around in it. After a fun play session, he's always up for a good belly rub or relaxing cuddle session with his human companions. He's a social pup who will snuggle up to anyone close by, spreading warmth and love. Blue has a favorite treat routine-he loves peanut butter, especially when paired with some tasty apple slices, and he can't get enough of chewing on ice cubes. He's great at keeping himself entertained with his chew toy.

I am currently at our Pups for Parole Program in Cameron Missouri. If youandamp;#39;d like to meet me&#44 you can email **wwaterborg@greatplainsspca.org**andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Whoandamp;#39;s exuberant&#44 curious&#44 friendly and lookinandamp;#39; for love? ME! Iandamp;#39;m Dawson&#44 and I wanna go on adventures with you! Iandamp;#39;m a tall&#44 goofy guy who absolutely loves to play. Iandamp;#39;m still young and am working on my manners&#44 but I have excellent listening skills and would surely be at the top of my obedience class. I already sit nicely for treats&#44 and Iandamp;#39;m pretty proud of my skills on leash. The shelter uses a gentle leader harness on me when volunteers and I walk together. Ever seen one of those? I make the perfect partner when wearing one - just look at my video to see me struttinandamp;#39; my stuff. With a little more training&#44 I will make the perfect buddy for hiking&#44 walking&#44 camping or cuddling. Iandamp;#39;m a very good boy and would love to come home with you. If you are lookinandamp;#39; for wiggly&#44 attentive&#44 silly&#44 energetic&#44 and happy all the time&#44 then I know you are lookinandamp;#39; for me. Iandamp;#39;ll put a smile on your face every day of our lives together. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Love from Dawsonandlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Photography by Krystle-Lee

Story
Crater is a pup who mostly prefers to sit back and observe his siblings shenanigans. He’s a snuggly boy and really enjoys human interaction over rough housing with the other pups. He loves toys and making funny faces. If he catches you trying to take a photo of him, he will run to the camera to put his nose against it. He thinks he’ll be a lap dog forever (and of course would love nothing more!)

Story
Star is your typical happy go lucky puppy. She’s full of life, energy, love, and snuggles. She’s super playful and friendly. She’s very motivated by food and treats. She’s always ready to get the day started when we wake up. She would do well in an active home where she can get her energy out by the end of the day. She sits very well for nail trims and doesn’t have an issue with letting you cut them!

Story
Boomer, or Bam as he’s affectionately called, has been my loyal companion for nearly a decade. Though his muzzle has turned white with age, his spirit remains as youthful as ever. He still bounds with energy, but more often than not, you’ll find him sprawled in a sunny patch, soaking up the warmth. When the sun isn’t out, he’s curled up on the sofa, bed, or in some hilariously upside-down position, lost in dreams. His love for snacks is unmatched—apples, peanut butter, and coconut oil are his favorites. And while he adores his human, he’s just as friendly with other dogs, always greeting them with a wagging tail. I had hoped to care for Boomer for all his days, but life has taken an unexpected turn. My greatest wish is to find him a home where he’ll be showered with love, sunlit naps, and endless treats. He deserves nothing less than a family who will cherish him as much as I do. Boomer’s journey isn’t over—it’s just finding a new path.
