Story
Artemis was born in February of 2020 and we adopted her from the Oregon Dog Rescue in August of 2021. Before that, she was a stray down in Mexico. Once she's warmed up to you, she very loving, loyal, and goofy! She is also quite anxious and is reactive towards other dogs and children. She's wary with strangers. She is not bothered by fireworks going off on the 4th or New Years! She is very energetic and needs space and more time than we can offer her anymore. She would thrive best as the only pet in the home. She tolerates cats, but tends to herd them. **She has a history of seizures of unknown origin. Her blood work came back clean and healthy, but we have not been able to do further testing. They happen about once a month. If you have any other questions, please ask! We hate to re-home her, but she has shown not to do well with the unpredictability of children, and we need to keep our infant son safe.

Hey there! Meet Mitch, the big love bug you've been waiting for! 🐾 Mitch is a 75-pound bundle of love who's mastered being both a gentle giant and a cuddle king. At 2 years young, he's got the perfect balance of energy and chill, making him a great addition to any family. One of Mitch's top skills?! He's a pro at making friends, whether they're big or small. Yep, he's that cool dude who gets along with everyone. We have had him with small grumpy dogs and big playful dogs and Mitch just hangs out with everyone. Watch Mitch here: https://youtube.com/watch?v=6NpLeNQkVqU&feature=shared When it comes to activities, Mitch is all about that fetch life! Throw him a ball, and he'll be your best buddy in no time. Plus, he's got some serious catching skills when it comes to treats! Leash time? No problemo! Mitch is a pro walker, with a loose leash, making strolls around the neighborhood an absolute breeze. And here's the kicker: he's totally chill when left alone. No separation anxiety here, folks! We haven’t even heard him bark. But wait, there's more! Mitch is a certified people lover. He's got enough love to go around for everyone he meets. Mitch’s favorite are the booty scratches that make him leeeaaaan into your lap and rollover. He also says he doesn’t mind those ear rubs. So, if you need a cuddle buddy or a loyal companion, Mitch is your guy! Ready to welcome Mitch into your heart and home? We are ready to answer any questions you might have! 🐶❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/663977ccf0fbf73a300b36d9 Please email Jessica@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 25% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.
