Meet Monty, Monty Moo Cow! This super cutie has a soft and snuggly thick coat, great house manners and the sweetest habit of holding his toys with his paws while he nibbles on them. He’s a happy-go-lucky lover boy with an affinity for smooching! We think Monty is an Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador mix. He is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses! We estimate his age to be just over a year old, and he currently weighs in around 60 pounds. He does well with everyone in the house- playful with the younger playful pups, and respectful with the older, slower dogs. Here at the rescue, he did wonderfully with the other dogs she met. He was a good sport with our playful big dogs, playful, forgiving and sweet. In his forever home, we think Monty would be happiest with a medium to low energy tolerant dog that will play at times, but respect Monty’s medium energy. He settles well after playtime, and plays in short bursts before settling. His foster mom describes him as calm, a very good boy, and a fast learner. Here at the rescue we saw a huge improvement in his leash skills in just a few moments of work- he really is such a fast learner. Monty is treat motivated too, and a gentle treat-taker. Monty is really sweet the moment you meet him. He can be a little unsure and shy at first, but soft voices and a few treats warm him up quickly. He loves to snuggle his foster mom, and even sat in our laps here at the rescue. Such a sweet boy! Monty is a total toy lover too! It’s impossibly cute to watch, he likes to hold his toy in his paws and chew, or chase the toy as you toss it. Knowing Monty’s gentle and sweet personality, we think he would enjoy residential or suburban life more than city life. He could live with other dogs, but we don’t recommend him for a home with kitties. We think he could do well as a family dog with kids over ten years old! Let me introduce you to Maggie, best described as a sun-bathing girlie with a love for naps and leisurely walks. Easy-like-Sunday-morning company and a true tail-wagging lover girl. She has all the makings of the sweetest thing you could ever open your door to at the end of the day. No shortage of happy smiles and tail wags with Maggie! Meeting her it would be easy to think she is a touch shy, likely because her looks usually go along with a much more excitable personality but she is a refreshing reminder that even in dogs, you can’t judge them based on their cover. Shy is not the best way to describe her, calm and steady is a better fit. Unbothered but fully present, ready for a shared moment or a solo-sit in the sun. She is a true companion dog, content at your side and appreciative of everything, especially the small stuff like booty-scrathes and snuggles. In rescue breed and age are offered as educated guesses given we do not know a dogs history but we believe Maggie is about 5 years old and is possibly a Cattle dog/lab mix and she weighs 55 lbs. Putzing around is a favorite past-time of hers loving to tag along in the backyard but if she happens upon the perfect sun-spot, a nap will be in order. She loves a good sunbathing moment. However you spend your time though, she will be happy to be there. She isn’t going to demand attention but she will quietly check-in for some affection and sit nearby so you don’t get lonely. She responds positively to a connection and comforting presence without needing constant reinforcement or praise. Basically, Maggie will be happy to keep you company without getting in the way. Maggie has lived with dogs in her foster home and has shown she has a type- enjoying calm canine companionship, she doesn’t seek a constant playmate. If you are a one-dog household, she would be perfectly happy to be your one-and-only. She does not need much- her people and a soft place to lay and she is going to be over the moon! Although she did not show us any of the qualities we typically see in Cattle dog mixes, having the opportunity for regular walks and enrichment will be key to her mental and physical health. Maggie’s dream home? She would love a home with a yard for exploring and sunbathing but thanks to her age and chill presence she has potential to be an apartment girlie. She is easy on leash, currently preferring a harness but just as comfortable in a collar, potty breaks and daily exercise will be easy-peasy. Se has a quiet nature, with his foster sharing that she is both house and crate-trained, and a true couch-potato! **Currently Fostered in Woodinville Wa** Sweet girl Wenatchee. She is the social butterfly who will love you your dogs, your cat your kid anybody and everybody. She is a little over a year old so still has that puppy energy but over the potty training phase!. She is a cutie and tiny girl, only weighing about 30 lbs! Wenatchee is a very intelligent dog. Her DNA test found that she is Australian cattle, Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd, poodle and Chihuahua. The chihuahua keeps her small! She’s so fun to train because she loves to learn and loves to make you happy. She catches on so well with new tricks and has been really getting my personal favorite, which is heal. Wenatchee loves cuddles and nothing more than to be around you when at home. She loves to play and would do best with another dog to play with in the home . Her being part working dog she will need mental stimulation as she loves to job. A dream home for Wenatchee would be someone with another moderate or high energy dog or dogs, a kid and family that has time to training her. Her foster mom is working with her to be calm in the home and let the crazy be outside. Wenatchee isn’t to keen on loud noises, mainly being buses semis those kinds of noises so is not the best fit for the busy city life or apartment living, she would much prefer to live in a home with a yard. She is a great fit for someone who loves to hike, run, or keep busy outside! Blue is a smart, loyal and loving dog. He is well trained and a great adventure companion. He loves to hike, swim, walk, and go on camping trips. He loves to paddle board and join in on all the fun. Blue can be wary of strangers at first but he is easily won over with petting and treats. It is with deep sadness and difficulty that we have to rehome Blue due to inter dog conflict with our other dog. We tried our very best to make it work for many years with lots of professional training and management. Unfortunately it has become too much to handle with our first child on the way. It is not fair to blue to live under management and stress and the conflict between our dogs is unsafe. The best situation for blue is a home with no other dogs and no very young children.

Maple is a 10 month old, Australian Cattle Dog mix. Shes sitting at 34 lbs. She is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. Maple was found running loose in Forest Park. Her history before being found is unknown but she had no training. She was processed by MCAS but no owner came forward. Ideally, she goes home with someone experienced that knows her breed well and can meet her physical/mental needs. She picks up on training quickly but still has things to work on. Shes an active dog that loves to run in open spaces but wants a good cuddle at the end of the day. She is very playful and energetic but will nap hard. Loves a squeaky toy or playing tug and is learning fetch. Inside the house she has not shown any signs of destructiveness. She’s crate trained but it’s not her favourite place to be for long hours. I don’t recommend her to be placed with smaller dogs/cats because she’s a herding breed. Everyone who has met Maple will tell you she’s a sweet girl.

This is Chunk! Chunk is young and still rather timid, due to under-socialization at his former home. However, once his confidence is built, he's got the makings of a FANTASTIC dog! my wife and I rescued Mako from Felon California After two days of adopting him he was in the intensive care unit because he had Parvo and he was the toughest little pup and was able to beat it and join our family. Mako is most deffininitly the most loving and affectionate dog that we have ever met he absolutely loves being loved all he wants to do is be hugged and laid with. he also loves just sitting outside all day watching the world go on around. some of his favorite actives is running and playing fetch this dog can run all day long and then some. it truly is breaking my heart to be letting him go.unfortunately he has had two incidents with our older smaller dog where mako attacked him unprovoked we cannot have it happen a third time he loves his little brother so much. he has played with our small dog many times very gently and loves to lay as close as he can with him which is why it was so strange he has also played with friends dogs so much with no issues.

I'm a funny, independent thinker with a serious case of "look-at-me" syndrome. My foster mom thinks Im a snack, but my selfies are more like a main course. At three, I've got the wisdom of an ancient dog and the energy of a caffeinated squirrel. I'm part Aussie, part Heeler, which means Im basically a tiny tornado with a to-do list. Walker is such a stunning boy! He has a nice temperament to match too! Walker came to us from California, just another stray puppy needing a soft spot to land and a better chance at a happy home. - Approximate date of birth 8/13/24 and he is 7 months old, 42 pounds - We are not sure on breed mix but he's so unique with all his spots! - Fenced yard preferred only because he is used to going potty freely in a backyard and we have not seen him potty on leash readily. - Great with other dogs and would love another dog friend in his future home. He loves to pal around and follow the lead of his foster sister who is a larger mixed breed dog. He also enjoys sharing toys with other dogs and playing a game of tug with them. - Cats unknown - Gentle kids ages 6+ ok - Crate trained, goes in on his own and has been crated for up to 8 hours at a time. No potty accidents in the crate, no bed shredding and no escaping the crate. - Walks nice on leash although he is a little timid at times and likely has not been on many walks in his lifetime. She can fit into any pack of dogs, she has a calmer demeanor, very dog friendly, loves the water, enjoys playing with toys, and loves people! She is the perfect size, not too big, not too small, just the right size. Not only is she the perfect medium size, but have you taken a look at her eyes?! Ella has some of the most captivating eyes we have probably ever seen. It's no wonder her name has "enchanted" in it because her eyes will leave you enchanted. Ella is very dog friendly and there hasn't been a dog that she has met that does not like her. She is SO good that she is even used and an assessment dog at the rescue. Which essentially means she is one of the very first dogs that greets a dog that we know nothing about to help us learn more about the dog coming into our program. She is incredibly respectful and patient with all different types of play styles, tolerant with even the pushiest of dogs, and is a calming comforting presence for even the shyest of dogs. She shares food, toys, and affection so gracefully too. Ella is not overly playful with other dogs, she is more of the hangout and enjoy the nice weather type of girly. When Ella does play, she has a gentle and bouncy play style and from what we have seen, she seems to enjoy playtime with young aloof playful dogs. If you don't have other dogs, that's totally fine! Ella does not need the company of another dog to help her feel comfortable and open up. She is a happy and sweet little lady all on her own and we're sure she wouldn't mind being the center of your world. Ella has also shown that she is comfortable around kitty friends. She met our house cat Biggie and she was so good around him and even shared playtime with him. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home with a cat before, nor can we guarantee things won't change once in a home. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions Ella has the potential to live harmoniously in a home with cats. When it comes to training, Ella is a smart girly and treat motivated. She already knows some basic commands such as sit, is easy to walk on a leash, and she is crate and potty trained. Any future additional training you want to do with Ella will be so easy with her. Not only is eager to please and easy to love, but Ella is fetch superstar and loves to play with toys. She has the best time playing fetch with her people out in the backyard and loves shaking around those stuffy toys. She would be a great companion to have around if you work from home because she is quiet and will entertain herself with toys or snuggle up on the couch and snooze while you get your work done. She would also be a great little adventure buddy as well. She loves to explore and loves the water! So if you like to go explore the trails, take trips to the beach, or even enjoy camping, Ella will be the best pup to keep you company. Due to Ella's easy and adaptable demeanor, there are a lot of different home environments that she would do great in. We can see her living in a home with a backyard and a pool (a kiddie pool will do just fine too), a condo, or even an apartment with adequate exercise. She is naturally a calmer girl so a walk around the neighborhood, or a quick game of fetch will be just fine to keep her happy and healthy. We have not yet seen Ella's with kids yet and we can absolutely test that for you with any age, but we do believe she would make a great family dog.
