Story
**Currently fostered in Conroe Texas** Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has a ton of energy and he loves to run and play. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Although, make sure it isn't a tennis ball or you'll find them in pieces! Barkley clearly was a dog that wasn't well socialized with others prior to coming into rescue. So far, he has done well with large female dogs, but he clearly lacks social skills. He does not like male dogs, and smaller dogs he is much to pushy for. He very clearly wants to be friendly, but struggles due to a lack of social skills. We believe with continued socialization with healthy, playful dogs will yield continued success with him! We suggest no cats though since he has a prey drive and goes after the squirrels and chickens. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. While he still struggles with impulse control, he has continued to show great results. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.

Patch was found as a stray and one of our awesome vet partners treated him and asked us to take him in as he is a great boy! We asked two trainers to independently assess him and he passed with FLYING COLORS.  He is gentle, easy to handle, friendly to everyone and loves other dogs.  Loves them.  All of them.   He is a typical Texas lab or maybe he is a Texas dalmation?  Whatever he is, he is HANDSOME and stands out in any crowd.  August 20, 2024, 1:33 am

Story
Brandy Beth is a 6 year old, Australian cattle dog that weights about 25 lbs. She is a happy dog who loves toys, other dogs, treats, going on walks, and is crate trained and house trained. Brandy loves her daily walks around the neighborhood and she does well on walks with another dog. She would probably do best with dogs her size or larger as she sometimes does not know her size and can scare the little ones until they get used to her. She will play chase with any dog that wants to play in her foster mom's backyard. However, she does need to be properly introduced to dogs and to people plus given time to adapt. Brandy is very anxious when meeting new people and will growl which can be quite scary. But if you earn her trust, she will be your best friend. Once she realizes you are her family, she is snuggly and playful. This may take a couple weeks. Her foster mom is happy to help with the transition. She would probably do best with a single adult or young senior who is an experienced dog owner. She would love a home where she would get butt and ear scratches and belly rubs. She looks so proud when she carries around her toys which are a must. Brandy Beth's adoption fee is waived to an appropriate, experienced home. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
Dakota started out on a farm. She liked to get under the fence which caused her to become injured by the goats. Her owners wanted to find somewhere else for her. A friend took her in but decided they are not a dog family. My current dog and Dakota got a long really well so I took her in but I am not able to care for her full time. I have a 3 year old and I work full time and she is not getting the attention, exercise and stimulation that she deserves. She is a sweetheart and needs a owner that is capable of making this sweet playful girl a priority.

Story
Cooper is an active , smart dog that is loving. He loves going on walks or hikes and is good in public. He gets nervous around kids he doesn’t know and my daughter just found out shes expecting. He is terrified of thunder storms and jumps in the bathtub to hide. He is protective of someone new coming into his home. We are looking for someone to love him ❤️
