Story
Eden is 7 years old, a senior dog that was rescued on an Arizona trip. I was told he was a blue heeler mix with black lab by a vet. His coat is all black with some white on his chest. As his age shows, some grey hair tuffs cover his chin, making him absolutely adorable. He’s well-behaved and trained properly, but has some minor tugging when walking. He gets along with either pets; cats and dogs, but larger breed dogs intimidate him, so watch him carefully. He loves kids of any age. He’s currently up to date with all of shots, and is fixed. Eden is a lovable, joyful and active dog. Loves to play when he’s given the chance, but is also a chill homebody. However he’s not fit for a crate environment. He does have some anxiety when it comes to loud noises such as thunderstorms, so be prepared and understanding of that.

Story
Take a minute to get to know Nala, a 7-year-old Heeler mix, weighing in at 40 lbs. Nala is such a sweet and easygoing pup! She enjoys gentle strolls and light exploring, but she’s not the type to dash around or engage in rough play. She’s really good with the other dogs in her foster home, even stepping in to correct the more energetic ones. Ideally, she’d love to hang out with dogs more in her age range. We’re not sure how she feels about cats, though. Like many dogs adjusting to a new place, Nala had a few accidents when she first moved in. But don’t worry—she caught on quickly and now she’s doing great with her house training! Now, Nala is a bit on the heavier side; in fact, she almost doubled her weight since being in the shelter last year. Weight control may be a lifelong challenge her new family will need to keep an eye on that throughout her life. One of Nala’s favorite spots is sleeping right next to the bed on the floor. She also loves to curl up at my feet on the couch. You can tell she was really cherished in her previous home, which will make it easier for her to adjust to a new forever home where she is loved and appreciated. Nala has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Nala, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). Story
Meet Pita! Pita is a 12-week-old, 13 lb. Heeler mix with adorable black and white spots and a personality as big as his energy level! He’s either zooming around at 100% or completely zonked out—no in-between. This fearless little rascal loves to play, especially with his much bigger Great Dane foster sister! Pita would thrive in an active home where he can go on hikes and adventures. Another playful dog to help tire him out would be a bonus! Like any puppy, he’s still learning—potty training, chewing rules, and general manners are all works in progress. Luckily, he’s super smart and food-motivated, making him very trainable. He’s also adjusting to his crate and learning he doesn’t need to guard his food. Despite his wild side, Pita is incredibly sweet. His favorite time to snuggle is right after a nap when he’ll sleepily press his face into yours for some love. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and adventurous pup, Pita is your guy! Pita is a healthy, happy pup! He is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, microchipped and ready for his forever home. He’s been given a great start in life and is all set for his next adventure with a loving family!
