Story
Please contact Jodi Rosenberg (jodi.rosenberg@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Sweet girl looking for her forever home!Liberia NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Liberia         Best Guess for Breed:   Cattle dog and shepherd mix Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of July 2024         SEX:    female   Approximate Weight:   49.2 lbs.   Gets Along With:    Liberia does well with other dogs! She hasn't been seen with cats but can be tested.    Currently Living at:   Shelter and Liberia needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to escape.    Check out this video of Liberia:  https://youtube.com/shorts/eW7a0TOADL4.   Special Adoption Considerations: Liberia is shy and must go to a home with a welcoming resident dog.  We would be cautious placing Liberia in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare shy dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to not leave doors open and should never walk the dog without an adult holding the leash.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant   Liberia is Looking For:  Her forever home! This sweetie landed in the shelter through no fault of her own and is looking forward to her new chapter, one where she is safe and loved and under her own roof!   She is eager to trot through the world with all the confidence of a well-loved dog. Right now, though, she doesn't have enough experience in new environments and can be a little shy. She's looking for extra loving humans who will show her the world at her pace. A welcoming resident dog will help her how to dog as well!    Liberia has so many adoring gazes and happy tail wags and snuggles - and so much loyal companionship - to offer. What do you say? Is there a spot for her in your home and your heart? What My Foster Says About Me:    We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time in her foster home. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Please contact Paul Slebzak (pauls@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Handsome boy seeking fresh start and love! MOGWAI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Mogwai       Best Guess for Breed:  Australian cattle dog and shepherd mix  Best Guess for Age:  4 years as of July 2024        SEX: Male   Approximate Weight:  38 lbs   Gets Along With:  Mogwai does well with other dogs - he's lived with multiple dogs! He hasn't been seen with kids or cats but can be tested.   Currently Living at:  Athens, GA shelter. Needs a forever home in the DC area to get out.    All about Mogwai:   Mogwai's owner passed away, leaving six dogs behind. They all ended up in an overcrowded shelter in Georgia. The others were very fortunate to find homes; he hasn't. He has very little chance of being adopted there.    Shelter staff say he's a quiet guy who, once he has a little bit of time to interact with a new person, trusts and loves deeply. He walks on leash. He has always lived with other dogs, and does well in play group at the shelter.    He's the handsome, chill type, just a great, good-looking pup who promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all his days in exchange for being safe and loved and under his own roof. Unfortunately, due to circumstances in the shelter - in shelters throughout the South and everywhere - his time is limited. If Mogwai might be the one for your home and your heart, please see below for how to apply!   Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
