Dots and her seven siblings were left at the shelter’s door overnight in a box, no note, no nothing - just left there. And as infuriating as that was you can't help but smile when you see these darling and gorgeous babies! And don't get me started on those ears!!! Dots is the kind of dog who instantly wins your heart. Her soft, soulful eyes tell a story of hope, and her gentle demeanor is a testament to her sweet and trusting nature. She has an incredible ability to make you feel like the most important person in the world, simply by being her affectionate, cuddly self. What Dots wants more than anything is a family to call her own—a place where she can feel secure, loved, and cherished. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start a new chapter filled with belly rubs, playful adventures, and cozy nights by your side. Dots is the kind of dog who will greet you at the door with a wagging tail and bright eyes, eager to share her day with you. She’s not just looking for a home—she’s looking for a forever family, one that will love her as much as she will love them. Could you be the one to give Dots the loving home she’s been dreaming of? She’s ready to fill your life with joy, laughter, and the kind of love that only a dog like Dots can offer. Adopt her today and start your journey of love and companionship together. Dots is 8 weeks old and 3 lbs - we think full grown maybe about 40 lbs. Her breed is also a guess but we think Aussie/Cattle dog mix. She is up to date on her vaccines, dewormings and preventatives. She is also microchipped. Are you ready for Dots? She is ready for you! Her adoption fee is $400. Our adoption application can be found at www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shpr

Story
This fella is Hector! Hector and his 3 siblings ended up at the county Animal Control as small puppies. They came to Animal Harbor in January of 2024 and have been with us ever since. All puppies in this litter are happy go lucky pups that are super social and just want love! Hector is a 9 month old male Cattle Dog Mix and is 40lbs. All pets that are adopted out of Animal Harbor are fully vetted. This means they are spayed/neutered and receive a Rabies, yearly vaccinations, preventatives for heartworms as well as flea/tick, and microchipped along with any additional vetting required to keep them healthy and happy. Dogs/puppies 6 months and above are all heartworm tested (and treated if needed). Animal Harbor is located in Middle TN, but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
These two are a fabulous pair of mini-Aussies and they deserve a wonderful home to make up for their early life. Their original family got them as a gift for a 10-year-old who wasn't at all interested. They are 6-7 years old and until they came into rescue, they never even had names! Despite being ignored and shouted at, they are sweet boys, and they have great dog manners. They are calm, loving, and so grateful for any love and attention. They adore their new toys and were ecstatic when a friend came by with kids. They are housebroken, great with both big and small dogs and have ignored the cats completely. We have given them all their shots, had them neutered and chipped and they are ready to go to their forever home! We believe that they will be good together or separate but if you would like to take both, we have discounted the adoption fees to $500 for both. They are being fostered in TN but we will transport them to a location near you using Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Snow Globe's pups were born in a shelter but quickly moved to a loving foster home. Their mom, Snow Globe, quickly found her home so now her babies want a home of their own....Toast loves nothing more than chasing his littermates, pouncing on them, and then running away so that they can chase him. He is a real cuddler and very loving. Kids are his favorite, but he would do well in most any home. He would do well as a member of a pack or a solo dog. If you want a smart, loving pup, Toast is your best bet! Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org August 19, 2024, 8:28 am

Story
Tuck is an incredibly sweet, gentle dog. He was brought into a shelter with 2 other dogs, because their owner was allowing them to roam at large, and he was about to get into trouble. It's a good thing for Tuck though, becuase now he can have the kind of family who will cherish and protect him. Tuck looks just like a Great Pyr, but without the size. He is just 45 lbs. This gorgeous boy has been so good with other dogs, and when an 11 year old girl visited him, he was the perfect gentleman, allowing her to walk him on a leash with ease. He was polite and not rowdy in any way, despite the face that he is only about 2 years old. He is crate trained, and even though he would prefer not to be in a crate, but out with the family instead, he does tolerate it and has no accidents there. Tuck also gets along great with other dogs - allowing them their space and waiting to be invited in. He can be slightly timid with people he does not know, but bonds VERY quickly. He wants his own family to love and be loved by. Tuck has been neutered, is up to date on his vaccines and dewormings and has been microchipped. He's looking for his perfect person, who thinks he is perfect as well. His adoption fee is $450. www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shpr
