Story
Tag came to us as a stray in October 2024. While this boy would do best in a home with no cats, Tag loves to make new dogs friends! Tag is our sweet boy who has plenty of energy for an active home. Tag is already walking well on leash, mostly housebroken, and learning his basic commands. Tag is cattle dog, neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventative. Come out to the shelter to meet this playful boy!

Story
https://foha.org/pet/doris/ Hi, I'm Doris! In Greek, my name means "gift and I like to think of myself as a gift to those who are lucky enough to be my friend. I am the total package - beautiful, smart, confident, and independent. Some may say I'm a little sassy, but that's just because I have strong opinions and I'm not shy about letting you know how I feel. I take my time choosing my friends, but I am affectionate and playful with those who have earned my trust. My favorite activity is splashing around in my pool when it's hot outside, but I also love going for walks, playing with stuffed toys, and cuddling up in cozy blankets. You don't have to worry about keeping me entertained at every moment, though, as I enjoy having plenty of time and space to do my own thing. An important thing to know about me is that I like to be in charge of my environment and belongings, especially my food, but I am working on getting better at that with people I trust. Because I am still a work-in-progress, however, my ideal home would be with adults only and no other pets. I would also prefer a home without a lot of visitors, since it takes me time to build my relationships. If you are an experienced and patient owner, and are willing to go at my pace with introductions and trust building, I might be just the gift you need in your life. Ask to meet me - we might be the perfect match! Doris is sponsored by: Laura Dove - I hope you find your forever home soon. Story
Meet Casper - Casper is about 11 months old and weighs about 47 lbs. Casper's foster mom did a DNA test and the results are in - Pitbull, German Shepherd, Labrador, Boxer, Husky and Belgian Malinois! What a mix! Casper is a very sweet, charming, intelligent pup who is full of energy:) Casper is a happy pup who will keep you entertained. He is great with other dogs, but we have no idea on cats. Casper is doing great with house training and crate training. Puppies will require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! Casper is up to date on vaccines, Neutered and microchipped. The adoption fee for Casper is $375.00. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Remy is playful, eager to please, food motivated and very intelligent. He absolutely loves other dogs and has made a lot of canine friends on daily walks. He would do great if he had a canine sibling and a fenced yard to play in. Remy is loyal and wonderful to his family. He loves running after a ball or a stick or frisbee and is learning to bring them back to his person. He also loves his toy collection and will go his basket of toys and pick something out when he is bored! We told you he is smart! He needs a slow introduction with strangers because people he does not know appear to make him nervous. He is crate trained and potty trained, and would make an excellent jogging or hiking companion. He knows basic commands like sit, down, shake, and he knows to wait patiently for his food at mealtimes. He is currently in a home with a kitten and the two of them get along great. If you are interested in this beautiful and active dog, please let us know. Thank you for your interest in Remy (formerly Caramel)! Story
Nacho and his brother Taco are 50% Australian Cattle dog, 25% Jack Russel and 25% Supermutt! (per Embark DNA test). Notwithstanding their mix, both are moderate energy dogs and very well mannered. Nacho is smart and very alert. He likes TV -no joke. He enjoyed watching the women's soccer finals during the Olympics on his foster dad's lap and barely moved during the game. He knows how to relax!! He would love to go to a home with a fenced yard and another playful dog. He is best buds with one of the foster's other dogs and has met many doggy friends at the adoption events that he loves. Here is what Nacho wanted you to know about himself -well this was before we got the DNA results and did not know he was only 1/2 Aussie!G'day, mate! An Aussie cattle dog here, what they call a 'red heeler' from Down Under, partly my color and part my nature. I am still a youngster and love to play. Crikey! My foster da' says I am smart, alert and eager to learn the tricks of the trade. No worries in the crate and I'm house trained (mostly), do well on a leash, come to the whistle and I chase down and bring in the toys.. Ideally, looking for a person or family with another dog and a fenced in yard so that we have room to run. And, I am fine with the little blokes and sheilas (meaning I really like children too!). Come on down to the adoption day and have a look, stop by and say 'G'day!'.If you would like to say G'day to Nacho please let us know. He would be very pleased to make your acquaintance!
