Look no further than Merlin (hey, hey, that's me!) and I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I got my name cuz I'm pretty good at magic. I magically appeared in my foster mom's fenced yard and they are still trying to figure that one out. I can also magically fit myself into my favoritest bed from when I was smaller. I'm now ready to start on this new chapter of my life with lots of hugs, puppy kisses and playtime with my new family!!! I'm around 9 months old and I come in at about 30lbs, which should put me at a fantastic size when I get myself all growed up, although I shouldn't get a whole lot bigger(35-40lbs). I love playing and am energetic, ready to share in all your adventures from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting!! I love people both tall and small, love playing with the other pups here at my foster home but I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of those strange creatures y'all call a cat yet. I have that innocent spirit that loves living life to the fullest, that energy that loves exploring the world around me and that playful demeanor that finds joy in everything!! I am one smart cookie (yes, my foster momma tells me so!) as I'm already house and crate trained and I know how to use the doggie door. That lets us get right to all that fun stuff...right away. I've got a beautiful coat that is pretty easy in the maintenance department, kind of a wash-n-go type of fella. You do know what that means, don't ya? But I am also very content to lay by your feet and just chill. Don't worry - I'll periodically give you my paw to let you know I'm there and available for cuddling. I don't need constant attention, but I'll take as much as you want to give.I can be a bit shy when we first meet but I warm up quickly and then we are best friends.I am still a young girl who is very curious and learning new things all the time. Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Meet Hopscotch! This sweet girl was found wandering in the cold in a rural area of WA. She is now safe in a foster home and doing so well! Hopscotch is a small girl, around 33 lbs and looks to be a Kelpie mix. We're not quite sure what she is mixed with but she is full grown and will remain a nice medium size. Our vet estimates her to be 10 months old. She's playful, fun and absolutely loves the male Malinois she's being fostered with. This little peanut would love another young playful male dog in her permanent home or a very (outdoor) active person. She is house trained and her foster is working with her on some other skills like recall and crate training. Hopscotch will alert bark when people come to the door but is friendly upon meeting people. She has a tendency to jump up in excitement but her foster is working with her on that and it is an easy issue to fix. She likes to play with other dogs and sometimes is a bit pushy to let them know this. Hopscotch is a lovely girl. We'd like to see her in an active home committed to training her and providing her with physical enrichment. We have not seen her with cats so we recommend her for a cat free home. Hopscotch will be vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Peppermint is an adorable and sweet pup who is about to be 3 months old. She is friendly and loves everyone. Great with people, dogs, and we predict cats too if she grows up with one. This pup and siblings were abandoned on a rural road outside Austin, Texas, likely left in a box found nearby. In freezing, wet conditions, they were at serious risk, especially Apollo, who was found in the middle of the road. Two good Samaritans rescued the litter, with one taking two puppies and the other taking three. While we couldn’t secure the first two, we were able to bring Apollo, Star, and Peppermint into rescue care. Thanks to Apollo’s presence in the road, the entire litter was noticed—ultimately saving their lives. They will soon have all their shots and be spayed/neutered and ready to go! Animal Profile: Russel is a 8.5 week old Terrier X puppy who joined us with his 3 siblings on 12/16/2024 via our TX partner Saving Shelter Strays. The puppies, along with mom, were living under an abandoned trailer and were picked by our rescue partner Saving Shelter Strays. They are currently in a foster home waiting for their freedom ride to the PNW to find their forever homes. Foster Update: Baby Russell is a chaotic good boi. A natural comedian, he does everything--from playing to cuddling to sleeping--with unbridled enthusiasm. Russell has abundant energy, loves fetch and toys, and is looking for a home with at least one other playful dog and a large, fenced yard. We expect him to be quite a big, strong boy when fully grown, so a dog-savvy home who can teach him good ways to channel is energy is ideal. Good with dogs, cats, horses, and people, Russell can initially be shy with new friends but warms up and absolutely adores his people and fur siblings. He has striking eyes and markings and the softest, smooshy face. His antics make us laugh every day. Russell is crate-trained, knows basic commands, and would excel at dog sports.
