URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Romulus, MI Meet Zeke! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 55 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Zeke is good with farm animals and other dogs! No children or cats, due to his reactivity! Zeke bit the owner’s neighbor on the hand in 2021 after they tried to let him out. He recently bit the owner after walking into the house to take his son to the car. Zeke bit the owner’s wife while she was trying to lock him in a room. He also bit the owner’s father-in-law on the hand while he was going after the cat. He is on 100mg twice a day for his anxiety. The owner is surrendering him because he is jealous of their young son. He needs to go by 12/31! If you think you can provide a great home for Zeke, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Zeke. They were vetted and fostered and adopted to a home. Due to unforeseen circumstances that were not at all of her making, Yozuri finds herself back in the care of Save a Stray once again hoping for a forever home. Yozuri is just happy about life. She is housetrained and crate trained. She gets along with everyone, loves toys, and playing fetch. Yozuri is smart, comes when called, and gives attention easily. She is a playful girl but also loves to snuggle. She is a delight to have around. This girl deserves a home to treat her like a princess. Oakley is an almost 6 year old, 15 lb toy Australian shepherd. He is goofy, lovable, cuddly, but skittish. He is the perfect dog for a home without small children. He has nipped our 3 year old a couple of times, possibly from trying to herd him, as he is a herding dog. He is a wonderful dog, but too anxious for a home with small children. We’ve tried training and he has caught on to many things. He is house trained, walks on a leash, crate trained and knows basic commands.

Knox is a beautiful one-year old Australian Shepherd, weighing 40 pounds. In our home hequickly bonded with our dog Maxie, following her, learning from her and sleeping close together.Knox is good with our cat, curious but mostly ignores her.At the dog park, Knox loves everyone, is very energetic and playful. His herding instincts couldbe there, but no interference to others. He seems to be submissive when meeting new dogs.Knox is shy with people. He is building relationships, realizing that people are good and kind.Knox is leashed trained, very seldom does he pull ahead; he walks by my side and stops when Istop.At this point Knox cannot be off leash. We are working on this with a long lead rope and the“come” command. He is house trained; he needs to go outside 4-5 times/day. Knox has acrate but prefers to be in a closed-door bedroom when left home alone (although he has Maxiewith him).
