Story
Hello, my name is Kaylee! I'm a MINI Aussie Shepherd mix, weighing only 30 lbs. I'm 1.5 years old but wise beyond my years.....eh, year. I was previously with a family that did not have time for me and kept me crated a lot. I do well with not going potty in my crate, but I can be a little whiney when in there. I'm just sick of that life! I'd rather be exploring or getting cuddles. I can be a little anxious at first, and may be more outgoing in a home without so many dogs (6-7 in foster home). I'm just very gentle, not pushy, and will quietly wait my turn for love. I do great with the other dogs though! We love to play and wrestle all over the house. I am great on a leash and do well in the car also. I would love a family to build my confidence and show me the world.

Story
What we know about Rusty is that his owner passed away and he was extremely sad and confused in the shelter, but has really warmed up with us and his fosters so we are so glad to see that! He seems good with other dogs and cats and does well. He is very overweight and needs to lose probably around 20lbs so his new family must be on board with continuing on his weight loss journey because it seems to be negatively affecting his ability to walk any distance, etc. He has already lost some since he has been with his fosters and we have already seen an increase in his activity level so we think this guy wants to be an active boy! Rusty was seen by the vet and thankfully they do not think his walking issues stem from an injury or issue, but from having to deal with the large amount of extra weight that he carries, but, like we mentioned, he has gotten better since he has started to lose the weight so yay for that! He has been on a pain med to help with any pain but it is very possible that as he loses more weight that his pain and discomfort will decrease and we could see the meds going down. Rusty is just an incredibly sweet guy but needs some extra help with his wellness journey but he is definitely ready to find his forever home!August 16, 2024, 11:06 am

Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 1:19 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Antonio, aka Tony! I was found in a creek at the bottom of a bluff on a nice lady’s property out in Trousdale County, Tennessee. I am 8 pounds and they think I am about 10 weeks old, born around the last week of May! They also think I had been hit by a big truck when I was found, so I have some hairline fractures in my front left paw that are healing quickly and well! I am a very sassy, sweet, and good puppy. I am doing extremely well with potty training and crate training! I have to spend a lot of time in the crate while my foot is healing and this is tough for me as a puppy. But it's necessary and my foster mom is studying to be a vet so she knows how important it is that I get the right care so my leg heals perfectly.  I have a lot of energy and I love to chew on chew toys and play with big dogs. I think I rule the world!! I am good with both cats and dogs, and would do well in really any kind of home as long as you’re willing to entertain me and ready for all my puppy antics! Because of my paw, the doctors want to wait to neuter me until I am almost full grown so that my joints can fully develop and my growth plates can fully heal, so we do ask that I am adopted in the Nashville area so that Critter Cavalry Rescue can provide my neuter. I am already bonding very strongly with my foster mom, so I cannot wait to meet my forever family and will be ready for adoption very soon! I am an absolute love and joy to have! If you would like an adoption application please write to ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 1:19 pm

Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Flower. Flower was the only survivor of a box of 7 puppies who were thrown away like trash. She came to me as a 10-day old bottle baby and struggled for a few weeks until she finally turned a corner and started to thrive. She is a little fighter and now has reached the ripe old age of 6+ weeks and had her first vaccinations recently. She is currently eating kibble and is looking for an adopter who can enjoy her antics and find or provide her a great forever home! Flower is probably a border collie mix of some sort but because she came in a box, it is just a guess. She is active and playful but tries to test everything with those little needle teeth of hers. She will need an active home to vent her energy and persistent training as she tends to like to have her own way. Perhaps agility training to help meet her activity needs. Flower responds well to playing with the chihuahuas and with Laila, the former bottle baby boxer, who all will let her know when enough is enough! She loves larger dogs and likes to interact with kittens as well. Flower is all of 4 pounds right now at 6.5 weeks and should end up being a medium sized girl. She is very loving and looks to people to be her pack. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
