Daisy is a 63lbs ( DOB 7/31/2023) Border Collie. This beautiful girl loves to hang out and play in the water. She is very affectionate and loves hanging out with her humans and playing fetch. She is leash, house, and crate trained. She is a very obedient and lovely gal that is eager to please her family. She was in her previous home with small children and other dogs. She has been a very even tempered, easy going girl that is ready for her forever home. She is very playful and would make a great running partner. Daisy is spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Please contact foster at amykdong@gmail.comSweet Miss Laila is a bundle of sweetness. This sweet pup has endured trauma, but it doesn’t stop her from being the biggest love bug! According to a concerned citizen, Laila’s owner fell ill and Laila escaped through an open gate. She was found a stray on the streets of Charlotte. While fending for herself, she became pregnant on the streets. She was almost full term when she was spayed and her babies terminated. After her surgery, Laila experienced a seizure in her kennel. She was found unresponsive on the cold, hard kennel floor. She came to and seemed fine. Laila was soon taken into foster care. Her first foster only had her for a short time, but it was there that she bonded with a stuffed squirrel. Laila took that squirrel everywhere and groomed it like the puppies she had lost. Soon after, she was moved to a second foster. After a month, she was unable to stay in that home. I am her third foster. Sweet Laila has blossomed in our home. She is perfectly house trained, can be left out (no crate needed!), loves kids, dog friendly, and literally the best snuggle bug ever. Laila loves to be around her person. She will sleep on the bed with you or in a dog bed next to your bed. She will patiently wait for you while you are out and about and is always excited to see you when you come home! She now has a Baby Dino that she grooms and takes everywhere. She is a true mama pup at heart. Laila would love a furever home. She is the sweetest pup who truly just wants to be loved. Miss Laila is also a girls’ girl and would prefer to be adopted by a female or a family. •House trained•Can be left out at home alone•Dog Friendly•Kid friendly•Loves her walks•Walks well on leash•Likes to chase chipmunks, squirrels and bunnies•Best Snuggler•4 yo•45 lbs

Feel free to contact recent foster lanebc2@gmail.com for other personality questions!Meet “Lolita” aka Lola Rola, as nicknamed by a 10-year-old. She’s an 8-year-old, 45 lb medium sized mixed breed who is enjoying relaxing in a comfy foster home! Lolita would fit into a variety of lifestyles and families and would be suitable for apartments or homes without yards. Lolita would be happiest as the only dog in the home, but loves kids and ignores cats in the foster home. Lolita would be a great fit for someone looking for a low key best friend to keep them company or a calm family dog. What we’ve learned so far:Potty trained, no accidents, she signals to go outside Loves a leisurely walk to slowly sniff outside or sit and enjoy the sunshine. No pulling on the leash (except when she sees a squirrel!) Can be reactive to other dogs. Calm personality. Enjoys playing briefly and getting attention, but mostly likes to snooze.Sleeps calmly on her own in her room/bed, though she loves to be near her humans and wouldn`t mind getting to cozy up in bed with youLoves a tennis ball and squeaky toys Loves snufflemats and food puzzle enrichment toys Smart! She already knows several commands including sit, stay/wait, paw, and down. We are working on a `touch` to build to a `come` command and she figured it out in minutes. She`s very food/treat motivated to help her learn the routine in a new environment. Loves kids! Approaches children happily but gently. She would be a great family dog! Indifferent to cats - ignored and didn’t chase either of two cats in foster homeDog skills - Lolita would thrive and be most relaxed as the only dog in her forever home. For homes with dogs she definitely needs slow introductions! She`s reactive to the sight of the larger male resident dog behind a gate in foster home (barking, lunging), but has been making progress with getting used to him with treats and keeping them separate. While being the only dog would probably be easiest for her to adapt to, with patience and very slow intros, she could possibly coexist with other calm dogs. Go slow! I don’t know her whole backstory or how she was treated in the past, but I’m seeing her gain trust in me every day that goes by in foster. She is understandably a little nervous with all the changes she has gone through lately. I hope her adopter will give her the same patience and compassion.

Friendly Finn is a lucky dog.  You know one of those who was in a really bad shelter that was run by lazy people who didn’t care if any of the dogs got out alive.  He is a handsome and very friendly Border Collie/Pointer mix that is truly a good looking dog who is about 3 years old, fully vetted, 35 pounds and was at the shelter for 2 years.  TRUTH!   How awful that this beautiful soul was there in that dirty place and in the tiny kennel run with another dog. He wasn’t fed much and he is lucky to have survived the torture of that specific shelter.   Friendly is a good word for Finn since he is good with other dogs and kids unknown.  He is surprisingly very good on a leash, but his nerves can get the best of him when riding in a car.  He might need a little medication till he gets used to riding.  Finn needs a big yard or maybe daily trips to a dog park.  We want him to live a life that is not limited as he has experienced these past 2+ years in the shelter.  If you are interested in Fostering or Adopting Finn please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm
