Story
2024 World’s Best Dog, 2024 Top Dog Colorado, Rescue Canine Excellence Award Hello, I’m Cha Cha! I’m a humble dog, but my foster family really wants you to know how amazing I am. And yes, they are the ones who gave me all these awards.  I like to go with the flow and not cause any issues for my humans. I’m happy all the time since life has given me a second chance in the great state of Colorado. I’m over the moon for a tummy rub and a treat, I get to relax in the sun and snooze, how lucky am I?  From my foster: Cha Cha doesn’t realize how special she is; she is everything you are looking for in a dog: sweet, loyal, cuddly, quiet, and housebroken. An absolute dream for a human looking for an instant companion. When you pet her, she literally smiles, and when you walk in the room, she doesn’t rush over but stays in her bed and thumps her tail in pure joy. She is so sweet, happy, and pure that you feel tears of joy pricking your eyes and your heart breaking open. Cha Cha is a 4-year-old female chihuahua mix weighing about 15 lbs. She has big light brown eyes, soft tan fur, and is fully house-trained. She is great with other dogs and humans, big and small. After taking care of her 3 puppies for the past 3 months, she is ready to be an unencumbered young and playful dog who gets all the attention and cuddles! Fill out an application so you can set up a time to meet Cha Cha! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2068129##

Story
See that girl, watch her preen, Annie’s our prancing queen!!!  Meet Annie a 2 year old chihuahua mix. Annie is a joyful noodle girl who loves to play. Annie seems to be learning what it is like to live in a house with human friends for the first time. She has mastered snuggling on the couch, playing with her foster brother and how squeaky toys work. She knows sit and is working on her leash skills and potty training, this girl will have it down in no time! Annie is gaining confidence day by day but new people and city noises are still a little scary.  Annie loves hanging out with her small foster brother and would do great in a home with or without another small pup. She's also cat friendly! Annie is still learning how to show affection to her human friends, so she would be best in a house with no or older children. She is such a sweet pup who is so ready to be loved. Reach out to meet Annie the prancing queen today!  Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2101798##

Giss is a friendly little guy who gets along well with other dogs, large and small, and is cat friendly. He can sleep a solid 7-8 hours overnight in his crate with hardly a peep. It took him a few days to settle into his foster home, but once he did, his happy, fun personality came out. He’s around 95% housetrained — just needs to stay in a good routine — and is getting better every day at walking on a leash. Giss will make a great companion in any type of household. Giss is a 1.5 year old Chihuahua mix and up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.  Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2131320##

Story
Lady is a cuddly lovebug who enjoys being with her human on the couch, in your bed, basically anyplace her human is, she will be. Lady is a very small, fearful, but precious little thing who loves to give kisses and play with her toys and especially enjoys her outside time. Lady is being introduced to the indoors, and she can be fearful of being picked up, but her trust can be gained over time with some patience and training. She is very slowly learning how to walk on a leash while in a harness.  Lady quickly learned how to use the dog door with the help of her foster sisters. With full access to that dog door, she is fully potty-trained. She has also learned her name very quickly and fell into a routine with her foster siblings quite easily. Lady hasn't yet fully learned the concept of playing fetch but she loves chasing balls and frolicking in the grass. Lady hasn't been around cats or small children, and her current home is fairly calm and quiet. She gets along very well with other small dogs and would be a beautiful addition to a family.  Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2131322##

Story
Allow me to introduce myself: I am Waylon, a ten-pound Chihuahua with a distinctive personality. Having taken it upon myself to pen this profile, I believe there is no one better suited to capture my essence than I. As a mature Chihuahua, I have established certain preferences and routines. I am particular about my surroundings and activities. Though I am almost fully housetrained, exposure to the elements is not to my liking; I prefer the comfort of indoor environments. My inclination for using pavement rather than grass for my outdoor needs stems from my early years, where grassy terrains were not a part of my routine. My leash manners are impeccable, showcasing my disciplined nature. In keeping with the spirited nature of my breed, I possess certain assertive traits. I occasionally nip to assert my position, though it is never with the intention of causing harm. This behavior serves as a reminder of my presence and status. While I can be tolerant of being picked up by those I trust, this tolerance has its limits. Prolonged handling can elicit a strong reaction. Despite this, I often seek the comfort of being lifted again after some time, demonstrating my complex nature. I am a vigilant guardian, alert to the presence of strangers and potential threats such as mail carriers and passing neighbors. My protective instincts make me an excellent watchdog. In interactions with larger dogs, I may display a confident demeanor. However, these interactions never escalate as my small stature is evident, and my assertiveness is more performative than confrontational. Food is a significant motivator for me. I am quick and agile when it comes to securing treats, often outpacing my foster mom's distribution efforts. My enthusiasm for food is a testament to my spirited nature. Despite my independent streak, I am affectionate with my chosen person. I prefer to rest at the foot of the bed or nearby on the couch rather than demanding constant lap time. My presence is a quiet and comforting companionship. I have specific needs and preferences for my forever home: Frequent Visitors: Not suitable. Large Family: Not suitable. Small Children: Not suitable. Inexperienced Adopter: Not suitable. I seek an adopter with ample patience and an appreciation for the distinct personality of Chihuahua mixes. If you meet these criteria, I could be the steadfast companion you’ve been searching for. Adopt Waylon: If you are prepared to welcome a spirited, small dog with a big personality into your life, consider giving Waylon a forever home.   Please fill out an adoption application for the dog(s) you’re interested in. Story
Henry, once a shy and reserved pup, is blossoming into a delightful companion, showing all the signs of becoming a top-notch snuggler! At just one to two years old and weighing in at 26 pounds, this sweet former stray has quickly adapted to life with his foster family. He enjoys resting his head on his foster mom's lap, turning over for belly rubs, and even prancing around with newfound confidence. Henry is discovering the joys of playtime and absolutely LOVES going for long walks. After proper introductions, he walks gently on a leash and gets along well with other dogs. He’s also quite content in the company of his doggy foster sister, and he’s particularly fond of Kongs and stuffed toys. Motivated by food, toys, and love, Henry is currently mastering his “come” and “stay” commands, and he’s already crate-trained and almost fully house-trained. Now that he’s settled into his loving foster home, Henry occasionally gets the zoomies, reminding everyone that there’s still a playful puppy inside his sweet little body! With so much love to give and so much to learn, Henry will thrive in a loving home—perhaps with older children and/or another dog his size—where his training can be completed, and he can enjoy his second chance at a happy, fur-ever life.
