Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Personality | Tootsie is sweet, bouncy, and absolutely adorable. As a pug mix, she is equal parts snuggle bug and pocket pal, and sassy fun! Story | Tootsie and her mama and brother were rescued from the streets of Texas, and recently made their way to Colorado! Other Dogs | Tootsie is great with other dogs, but is still teeny tiny! She needs safe introductions to make it comfortable for her to greet other pups. Cats | Tootsie has not been cat tested, but it is assumed she would do well due to her age and wonderful temperament. Children | Toostie would do well with kiddos, but needs gentle kiddos since she is still so small. She loves little people and would love to have siblings!Training | Tootsie is working on her potty training day by day! She follows her mama's lead, which is awesome!Leash | Tootsie is too little to walk on a leash currently, but she will learn as she grows! Activity Level | Low to moderate - she is your typical puppy, but a total pocket pal! Health Notes | Healthy as can be!Thank you! |  Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.March 8, 2025, 1:34 am

Story
Meet Nia! She is an easy going little dog. Her ideal day is spent with you on the couch, hanging out and cuddling. She is a sensitive older gal who doesn't like too much excitement or change to her routine. For this reason we recommend she be the only dog in the home (or possibly with one other small, calm older dog) and be in a child free home. She's a very sweet girl, she just needs a calm and consistent household! Despite being uncomfortable with dogs, she is passive with cats and shy but friendly with strangers. Put in an application at eapl.com Her adoption fee is $375 March 6, 2025, 10:24 am

Story
If you’re looking for a small 4yo, 9lb, sweet, easy pup then Sweet Cera is it. From her foster: When I was rescued in August I was a scared shaking little mouse. You could barely see me as I scurried quickly under tables and shivered in corners when I saw you. Then I met an amazing foster mom who quickly realized I didn’t know how to dog. She and her pack of little doggies gave me the time, space, and quiet caresses to show me that I could come out at my pace without getting hurt. It has taken me a couple of months to shed my fears. BUT my foster mom now calls me her little hamster who loves to sleep on a pillow next to her and cuddle under the blankets. I know meeting a new forever family is going to be a BIG step for me and I’ll need a slow introduction to my new surroundings BUT I am ready!  What I need now from my forever family: Patience, calm, space, quiet encouragement, puppy pads as a backup, a small furry dog companion to teach me to dog, and a cave of pillows on the couch next to you. Walks aren’t necessary but a secure backyard would be wonderful. No young children, please. Ideally a mature quiet household would be perfect. Apply with Evergreen Animal Protective League: eapl.com  My adoption fee is $375 March 6, 2025, 10:24 am

Story
Hi! This is Spears, a 14 month old Chihuahua/German Shepherd pup. We are currently looking to rehome him due to changing work schedules and his need for a more active lifestyle. He is a sweet pup, just struggles with reactiveness to noises and new people. He is house trained, but can tinkle if he gets a bit excited. He has spent the last year of his life in an apartment, and we have found Spears would do best in a house, rather than an apartment. He is up to date with his vet visits and shots, but will need his annual rabies vaccination in March. He is playful, cuddly, highly trainable and would be a great addition to your family. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!

Story
Hi I'm Jewel!  I'm a very sweet girl who came to Colorado from a New Mexico shelter with my four puppies. I've been a good mama, and now I'm ready to find my forever family. Are you looking for a perfect petite sized fur baby? That's me! I've got an adorable nub tail that wiggles too. I sleep well in my crate at night, am house trained, and am a pretty quiet, easy girl. I've gotten along well the the other dogs in my foster home. I'd enjoy having a backyard, as I like to lay in the sunshine and stalk squirrels and birds. I'm a little shy at first when meeting new people, but warm up quickly. I'd love a family with lots of love to give to allow me to fully blossom into enjoying a dogs life.  ##2296267##

Story
Hi! My name is Latte. I'm a young, sweet puppy looking for my forever home. I came to Colorado with my mom and littermates from a shelter in New Mexico. I enjoy playing with my littermates, playing with toys, and chasing the mop when my foster mom cleans. I use potty pads in my pen where I sleep with my littermates. I also enjoy exploring in the backyard. I'd love a family with lots of time and love to give a young pup.  ##2296274##

Story
Meet Beethoven, a lively 2-year-old Chihuahua/Pug mix who’s looking for a loving home. Beethoven is a people-loving pup who thrives on human companionship and is full of playful energy. He is closely bonded to Elsa, who may even be his mother, and he tends to look for her when they’re apart. Though Beethoven can be a bit aggressive with other dogs, he is a true sweetheart with people and has no medical concerns. He was found abandoned with Elsa in an apartment after his previous family moved out, and they were rescued by a landlord who brought them to a shelter. Beethoven is ready to bring joy and affection into a home where he can continue to be the playful and loving dog he is, ideally with Elsa by his side. He’s eager to find a family who can provide him with the love and attention he deserves.
