Story
Milo is a 7 (?) year old male chihuahua mix.  He's timid around new people but is loving and playful once you've gained his trust.  He's a goofy boy with tons of personality.  He likes to play with other smaller dogs but is a bit fearful of high-energy larger dogs.  Milo would do best in a quieter household without young children.  His favorite things are going for walks and his stuffed giraffe.  He also loves to snuggle up with his human on the couch or in bed.  Milo is filled with love to share with a person or family who will give him a chance.February 8, 2025, 9:41 pm

Story
Meet Lady, a 1.5-year-old Chihuahua mix! Lady is a cuddly lovebug who enjoys being with her human on the couch, in bed, and basically any place her human is, she will be. Lady is a very small, cautious, but precious little thing who loves to give kisses, play with her toys, and especially enjoys her outside time. She is learning how to walk on a leash while in a harness, and she quickly learned how to use the dog door with the help of her foster sisters. With full access to that dog door, she is fully potty-trained. Lady has also learned her name very quickly and fell into a routine with her foster siblings quite easily. Lady hasn't yet fully learned the concept of playing fetch, but she loves chasing balls and frolicking in the grass. Lady hasn't been around cats or small children, and her current home is fairly calm and quiet, which is her cup of tea. She gets along very well with other small dogs and would be a beautiful addition to a family. Lady is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Apply to meet sweet Lady today! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2131322##

Story
Dobby has been in our family for five years. We love him! However, we moved into a rental home that does not allow pets. We were able to find him a temporary home with friends who gracious enough to take him in. They are expecting a new child in a couple of months and feel that they cannot keep Dobby. We hate that we cannot keep him, but want to find him a loving new home. He is incredibly loyal and energetic. We rescued him from a shelter in Idaho and have kept his medical care up to date. We think there may have been some trauma in his earlier life as he is quite anxious. We think he might benefit from a home with calm people who can care for him.

Story
Bella is an approx 2 y/o 10# Chiweenie who was found as a stray in a small rural TX town. No one came in to claim her and she was very frightened at the shelter. She's now in a foster home in CO and is coming out of her shell. She loves to be near her person/people, sit on your lap, and sleep under the covers in the big bed. Bella now loves to play with other dogs but can get snarky if she doesn’t get to be the boss. Bella has a difficult time sharing so we are looking to place her in a home where she is the only dog or with a laid back dog who doesn’t care about her bossiness. Bella needs a secure 6 ft fenced yard as she will be a flight risk for awhile and humans who can take her out frequently. She is potty trained and crate trained. She enjoys walks and is good on the leash but will bark at people, other dogs and unfamiliar things. She had made a lot of progress with her fear barking on walks and will need her new owner to continue with her reward based training. She'd do best with someone (she prefers women over men) home during the day and no small children. She hasn't been overly barky indoors. She was curious about cats but we're not sure how should be be living with them. If interested in meeting Bella, complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home including pets. Bella is spayed, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. Her adoption fee is $375 and we are not doing any out of state adoptions.November 2, 2024, 3:49 pm

Story
Cricket is an approx 2.5 year old, 20#, Chihuahua mix, possibly a Chiggy, from Texas. Initially he's a bit shy, but once he gets used to you he is super sweet, gentle, and affectionate.  Cricket has quickly learned to use the dog door in his foster home and LOVES his treats. He is doing very well but will need a patient person who is willing to make sure he has a regular bathroom schedule to keep him on track. He really enjoys the company of his Foster friends and foster dad and loves to snuggle as close to them as possible at night while watching TV. He has started playing with his foster siblings and proudly carrying around stuffed toys for a game of tug-o-war! He would do well in a home with another dog as long as they give him a little time to warm up. Cricket has also warmed up to walks on a leash. He is really starting to enjoy this and seems to pay very little attention to rabbits and cats while out on a stroll. He may have a difficult time warming up to kids but a respectful older child may be considered. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, HW-, and microchipped. He does need a fully fenced yard and is not good fit for an apartment situation. If you are interested in meeting Cricket, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Cricket's adoption fee is $375 and we are not doing any adoptions outside of Colorado.February 18, 2025, 10:34 pm

Story
Meet Gizmo, the powder-puff Chinese Crested dog who brings a spark of joy wherever he goes. This tiny dude with a larger-than-life personality is the epitome of fun-loving and goofy. Gizmo loves to sleep under blankets with his favorite humans, providing the coziest companionship. As a true velcro dog, he attaches himself to his favorite human. Famous for dancing in circles, skipping downstairs like a tripod, and howling cutely at sirens, Gizmo never fails to make everyone smile. While he enjoys his walks, he truly loves riding in his doggie backpack, taking in the world from a comfy perch. Gizmo is mostly potty trained, rides great in the car, and will jump right in. He loves tummy rubs and knows how to 'sit'. Gizmo is a superstar at the groomers, where everyone adores him, and he's just as well-behaved at the vet and dentist. This little charmer loves being on camera, always ready to make you laugh with his antics. Gizmo enjoys the company of adults and older children and is a friend to other dogs. He is curious about cats, often because they are larger than him. He can get a bit anxious and shake like any little guy, and he might mark if he feels threatened, but he will wear a doggie wrap when exploring new friendships. Gizmo wears clothes to protect his little bare back from sunburn and loves to cuddle in his favorite sweaters to keep warm during cold days. He loves to bask in sunshine, soaking up warmth and spreading happiness to all around him. He is a true companion pet and will provide more love than you can imagine. Gizmo is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Story
Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com Meet Cuete, the Quirky Clown Looking for His Forever Family! If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion, Cuete is your guy! This lovable adult Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless dog) is 37lbs of personality, charm, and quirks. Cuete is the type of dog that will keep you laughing with his funny antics, but he also has a soft, affectionate side that's all about bonding with his humans. Cuete is a bit of an independent spirit and much prefers the company of his people over other dogs. He can coexist with other dogs, but slow, patient introductions are key to his comfort. Cuete does have a tendency to claim his space (and his toys!) and isn’t a fan of sharing, so a home without small children would be ideal. When he's not stealing the spotlight with his antics, Cuete is an expert counter surfer and has no problem hopping over 4ft fences (he’s got some serious jumping skills!). He’s crate trained and mostly potty trained, though he does enjoy letting his voice be heard from time to time—apartment living might require some patience with his barking. Cuete is currently working through some skin issues, and his biopsy has shown a possible autoimmune endocrine condition that may require medication and careful experimentation with diet and soothing remedies. His future family should be understanding and patient as we continue to monitor and treat his condition. If you’re an experienced dog owner who can offer Cuete the love and attention he deserves—and a little space for his quirky personality—he just might be the perfect fit for you!
