Be still our hearts, this little muffin is everything sweet in life! Moa is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 7 pounds. Moa is a gentle, affectionate young pup with an incredibly sweet demeanor. Despite being so young, Moa has the heart of a snuggle bear and loves nothing more than to curl up on a lap and give plenty of kisses. He is a total sweetheart who is incredibly loyal and will only want to be close to you. Moa loves to give and receive affection and will happily spend the day by your side. What an ideal companion for someone looking for a loving furry friend, words or pictures simply can’t express how scrumptious and tiny cute he is. We hope that Moa finds his forever home and receives all the love and care he deserves. He may prefer a quieter, more predictable type home where any children are respectful and older, due to his gentle nature and being so small. Name: Casper Breed Guess: Chihuahua Mix Age: 3 years old Gender: Neutered Male Weight: 25 pounds Shelter Temperament: Shy and Sweet Children: Yes Cats: Can test upon request Dogs: Meet and Greet Required Adoption fee: $375 Likes: Playing outside Snacks (he is on a diet) Snuggles once he warms up The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.

Oliver can certainly pull off a bow tie, what a cutie! He is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 9 pounds. Oliver is a happy pup with these long legs and adorable flop-over ears. He's very silly and full of energy, with a tail that wags non-stop. He has a perfect sit too and takes treats very nicely. Oliver also does a funny little dance on his back legs that will keep you entertained! He may prefer a quieter, more predictable type home where any children are respectful and older as he can be a little mouthy when he is excited. Oliver promises to be your most loyal companion for life, and he can't wait to see what the future holds with his forever family! This sweet little girl is Maude and she is a 8.5 lb Chihuahua. She is just a little potato loaf who likes to eat and sleep. She is very food motivated and loves breakfast and dinner. She will let you know when she is hungry by trying to be a scary barker but really it is just cute. While fostering her, we have learned she probably has experienced some things in her past that make her a little skittish and slow to trust. She does snap a little when she is unhappy with being touched but will let you rub her when she warms to you. She has had some accidents in the house but they have been getting less frequent with a few extra trips outside when she wakes up from naps or after meals. Maude loves her foster dad and seems to prefer men to women but we are still trying on that front. Maude also loves her foster brother who is a medium sized dog and has never had an issue with him. We want to find Maude a forever home and let her relax and be the center of attention. Please share or apply
