Story
Sweet boy that I found a few months ago abandoned outside of Yellowstone natl park needs a new home. Breed unknown, very funny loving dog. About 8mo old. Has had first set of shots. Needs a fenced yard as he has started to jump out of mine (the fence is very short) so he needs a new home urgently. Free to a good home. Message me and come meet him / pick him up! Comes with leash collar food bowl and large bed!

Story
Wrangler is such a sweet little cuddle bug! When he’s not playing or eating, he wants to be curled up for a nap right next to one of his foster parents. He loves playing with toys, but chewing on bones is his favorite. He doesn’t destructively chew things in the house and lets us know when he needs to go out, but he’s still learning basic commands and how to walk on leash. He has quickly come to love his crate, he goes in it on his own accord during the day to nap. He’s good with other dogs and is very respectful of their space. Wrangler is a sweet, curious, and playful little pup! ##2276892##

Story
Scout is our cuddle collie! He was a sheep dog that got lost when he was a puppy and taken to the pound where we adopted him about 10 years ago. He LOVES to play ball and always wants attention and pets. He is generally passive to other dogs. He lived in our home with 2 children, 4 other dogs, a cat, chickens, horses, and a donkey. No one could ever come to our home without Scout letting us know. He is a GREAT guard dog in that sense. He likes being involved in whatever is going on but he still a herding dog so if there a little kids screaming while playing, he occationally might try to herd them by nipping their heels; just something to be aware of with the breed. He is a wonderful pet and we hate to rehome him but we are moving and our new location doesn't allow for pets. Scout need a place with a yard and a doggie door and lots of room to run. He has been trained to use a doggie door to go to the bathroom outside. He loves a plastic pool in the summer to cool off.

Story
Roo came to us at 12 weeks and needless to say he grew up in foster. Times were hard for rescues and it was an election year and wveryine was holding that almighty dollar. I can't day I blame them we all want to properly affordnandncarenfor our animals.. Roo is a big Goofy guy and makes everyine laugh gonna daily basis. He loves to play in the water, he loves fetch and he loves attention. Roo would succeed in a family w kids who can gove him live and patiemce. Roo does have a working dog attitude- meaning they nip not BITE. Exactly how they bring the sheep or goats 🐐 in..Around the house he's just assuring his love for you. He loves to hold his foster mamas hand to lead her to his water bowl or food bowl.

A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS OUR FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY PLACEMENT.  PLEASE READ ABOUT THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org AND THEN COMPLETE THE ONLINE APP.  WE WILL CALL YOU FOR A PHONE INTERVIEW IF YOU SEEM LIKE A GREAT POTENTIAL MATCH FOR THE DOG YOU HAVE APPLIED FOR. "Ruby" is truly a gem!  She is a 5-year-old spayed female rough Collie/ Australian Shepherd mix that has all the best qualities of both breeds.  Her blue merle coloring is striking and her coat is shorter and more Aussie-ish and easy to care for.  She is housebroken and obedience trained with basic commands.  Her first outing after grooming was to go to Big R, a local farm and ranch store that welcomes RMCSR dogs.  As we entered the store, we heard a child crying.  A darling little girl with curly hair and a face wet with tears, clutching her mother's leg.  I approached and asked if a dog might help and the mother said yes.  Ruby and I moved forward, with Ruby slowly moving into an embrace with the kiddo.  I wish I could have captured that moment.  A couple of minutes later, the little girl walked off with her mom to finish their shopping, still wiping her tears but with a tentative smile on her face.  I told her we would be in the store for a little while if she needed to hug Ruby again.  As I said, Ruby is truly a gem! As we begin the search for the perfect match for this remarkable dog, some things seem important to acknowledge.  Ruby needs kids in her life.  She could have some kiddos of her own in her forever family.  She could have grandchildren that visit frequently.  She could even become a therapy dog and have children in her life in all kinds of different ways.  Reading to children in a library setting.  Children's hospitals welcome human/canine teams that learn appropriate behavior with sick kids.  But Ruby deserves to be part of a loving family that will believe they are lucky to have her. Ruby is spayed, UTD on vaccines, heartworm negative and has great bloodwork.  She is ready to choose the humans to spend the next 10 years with.  Ruby will be screening the applications along with our Director.  She is ready to love you.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2024, 10:37 pm

Story
My story is both heart-warming and heartbreaking, but I'm glad I found my way back to the rescue organization that can help me find the forever home I deserve. I can be a gentle and loyal companion who simply craves the love and attention that every dog deserves. Despite the neglect I experienced in my previous home,I have adjusted well since being returned to the rescue. My shyness and caution around men is understandable, but with the right patience and care, I'm confident I will blossom into a wonderful family member. Here are a few key points about you that stand out: I am a loyal and humble companion who appreciates the simple things in life, like gentle pats and a calm voice. I may be a bit shy at first, but will warm up to people and become the heart of the home. I would do best in a quiet, loving environment, and would make a great match for older children or a veteran looking for a furry friend. Despite the neglect in my past, I have adjusted well since being returned to the rescue.  I truly believe that with the right forever family who is willing to give me the time, patience, and love I deserve, I will flourish. I have so much to offer, and I hope to find that special someone who can provide me with the forever home I've been searching for.  Please fill out an application for me at www.fureverdogdenver.com, if you have any questions or would like to meet me, please call 720 588-6809. ##2096191##
