Story
Even senior dogs know the value of a good treat and BettyAnn knows her good behavior deserves a tasty reward. Around ten years old, this lovely lady hasn't always enjoyed the finer things in life, so she is content to just take it easy and touch grass - literally. BettyAnn enjoys short, slow, walks due to her tender hip. Just spending time in the yard, seeing the sky and clouds brings her joy. She can certainly live in a home with other dogs, but she's not interested in rambunctious play. She's a mature lady and just wants to enjoy each day. She prefers a soft bed to spending time in her crate but is accepting of either. She's not dependent on others for constant attention and interaction, but after spending time alone, BettyAnn lights up when she sees her people. She may not have been blessed with a loving family in her early life, but she's definitely ready for one now, and maybe a soft patch of grass to call her own. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. Story
Meet Willow!Hi there! My name is Willow, and I'm a sweet and playful four-year-old dog. I absolutely love being around kids, and I'm known for being great with them. Although I can be a bit skittish around men when we first meet, I quickly warm up and become playful once I feel comfortable.I have excellent house manners, which means I know how to behave well inside. I never beg for food, and you won't hear me barking unnecessarily. At night, I love to sleep at the foot of my fosters's bed, keeping them company and providing them with warmth and comfort.Sometimes, when my foster leaves, I may scratch at the door. However, with a bit of training and adjustment, this behavior will improve over time. It could be a good idea to consider using a crate or kennel to help me feel secure and comfortable when I'm alone.Overall, I'm a really nice dog, and I would make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loving and loyal furry friend. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Noah! Noah is a 2-year-old, male, Collie/Heeler mix weighing 42 lbs. He was originally found on HWY 276 in Rockwall County on 11/11/2023 and brought to the shelter on 11/13/2023. Sadly, his owners never reclaimed him. So now, he is looking for his new fur ever home! Noah is a sweet and playful boy. He walks well on a leash, loves his soft blankets and toys. He does well with kids, but has a bouncy nature and needs to be in a home with older children. His not good with cats or smaller dogs. Noah is good with some dogs, but he likes to be the leader of the pack. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is suggested to ensure they get along prior to adoption. Noah has been a shelter resident for 267 days as of 08/06/24 and is a Diamond Dog. Noah's adoption fee is $75. He is neutered, current on his rabies vaccination, boosters to date, microchipped and heartworm negative. Story
Bellah and Beau were at a rural shelter on the Eu list due to length of stay and being over crowded.  They are stunning dogs.  They are super sweet and very calm.  They do not jump on you but love affection.  They don't bark much unless there is something or a noise behind the fence.  They are not chewers, nor food aggressive and they are great with other dogs, people and children.  We think they are ok with cats too. They don't dig in the yard and they love to eat! Super beautiful too! ##2136563##

Story
Jessica has been with us for for 3 months and she's "finally" coming into her own. She was a diligent momma, always putting her babies first, but now she's earned her own time. Jessica now gets on the kennel couch with me, paws me for pets (we're working on that), and is ready for a family of her own. If I said she was the best dog I've ever had, it would be an understatement. She has NEVER had ana accident in the house. She knows basic commands or figures them out quickly. She likes to play with all size dogs without it ever getting too rough, and she de-escalates situations easily. The only downside to Jessica is that she wants/needs a larger area to patrol. She is a border collie and likes to patrol the border. Could she be an apartment dog? Probably not, unless you are committed to outdoor exercise with her. It's not a constant need for exercise but she does like to use her brain and instincts. Someone with a decent sized yard needs to give this girl a chance to make them as happy as she's made us.
