Story
Social Miss Rue is what we'd call a 'forever puppy'! She LOVES being cuddled, coddled, and loved on by anyone AND anything! Whether it's other dogs, of all shapes and sizes, or even cats! She only ever wants to make more friends!! Rue has such a lovable, darling personality as she matches EVERYONE'S energy, whether you want to snuggle, play, chill out, she is IN! At about 9 months old, and only about 45 pounds, we know she will FIT into just about any home, but are you ready to share your bed, your sofa, your blankets, AND give her all the fun under the sun? With this girl that's not too difficult! Challenging her brain with treat puzzles, training, or even kongs with peanut butter wear her out quicker than all else! Not to mention her LOVE for playing fetch! Due to Rue's amazing behavior, we believe she is house-broken, and we KNOW she's crate trained, AND knows her simple commands with the lure of a treat!

Story
Meet Miss Apple Jacks! Most importantly, she is the happiest little dog I have EVER met, it was nearly impossible to grab a photo of her because she was too busy wiggling her butt! This sweet girl is a little doll! She can't get enough lovins, kisses, wiggles, or playtime! She's also a fool for some good old fashioned belly rubs! At about 8 months old, she weighs in at around 25 pounds! We reckon she will hit that perfect in-between size where she can accompany you anywhere, everywhere, or nowhere and she will be happy! It goes without saying JUST how adorable this sweet girl is, and how hilarious; seriously, her preferred method of moving around? Wiggling, literally while giving you the cutest grin! This girl loves her bones, and her toys; they keep her nice and settled in her crate! She's as sweet as they come, and quite the little love bug that will make a perfect addition to just about any home! ALL she really is looking for is a lap to cuddle in, and hugs to get, quite honestly. I don't think there's many laid-back, happy-go-lucky puppies around like her! Apple's most ideal day would include hours of cuddles, then maybe a walk or some playtime, eating peanut butter out of a kong, and then taking a long nights sleep. She is literally the perfect puppy! What could be better than a doggy friendly, kitty friendly, and kiddo friendly sweetheart?!

Story
Jane the happy hound girl! If you can't tell by her tappin' toes, and wagging tail, she's one of the happiest go lucky dogs anytime her favorite treats, people, dogs, honestly really anything, around! On occasion she's shy at first with strangers, but within seconds she's back to her typical self, sporting the cutest big brown eyes imaginable! Jane gets along amazingly with everything, everyone, and anything she's met with us, from kids, to cats, dogs, puppies, (she even tolerates the pestering ones!) While after she suffered a horrible attack from another dog, it takes time for her to warm up to other dogs; ultimately she does. She's patient, sweet, and so lighthearted. At about a year and a half old, she weighs in around 40 pounds or so, and while she could definitely use some more meat on her bones, fortunately, she's a great eater! Jane has been fostered for awhile now and here's what we've heard! She lives in harmony with 2 other dogs, and is an absolute snuggle bug, if you can't tell! She adores playing with toys, especially those that are peculiar to her! In general, she seeks out affection more than all other things, and just adores the company of her people. At about a year and a half old, it's hard to come by such a young dog with that old soul type personality, but Jane is just that! Fortunately, when she's not being smothered in all the love; she's a content girl when given a bone, and will spend her time gnawing away. She is house-trained & crate-trained! We know Jane will do amazingly in most loving homes.

Story
Angel is a very special girl, so special, her name doesn't quite grasp it, even! At about 3 years old, all sweet Angel knew was the outdoor life, in a wire pen, through the snow, rain, cold, and heat. She was often co-housed with at least one of her own puppies, with food dumped in on occasion. Angel has never known the love, trust, and loyalty of people until coming to us, and so far, she has flourished! She had gone from being a young dog who only knew 1 thing, to be defensive, on guard, and scared of humans; to now, where she makes it more than obvious that she just adores being loved on by us staff members, and even more so, showing her own love for us. Angels affection is expressed through her adorable puppy dog eyes, as she relaxes on your lap, near your feet, or from acrossed the room. She is an angel among so many other amazing qualities, we've yet to even explore, and some that can't even be articulated on this profile! Angel weighs in around 40 pounds, and every bit of it is love - but she needs to warm up to you first, as strangers still feel like a danger to her. The best way to help her warm up is by ignoring her entirely, and existing in peace for awhile with her. She DOES have some very specific needs, so please make sure your home meets the following criteria before applying, while some criteria is flexible, such as crating her with visitors, etc; some are not at this time. - No other pets (or willing to have them segregated with very limited, positive interactions until trust is built for her, and her outlets of energy are properly met, such as prey drive - playing with toys, chasing things, etc) - No children living in the home (she can be crated if children come to visit, and she will be happier that way. Kids stress her out a LOT) - Limited men, she warms up a LOT quicker to women than men, so if there's a man living in the home; he's got to have patience, understanding, and loads of treats! - Dog experience in general, and open to coaching from AWF Manager/Dog Trainer (free of charge), or another professional. If you are interested in bringing our darling Angel into your home, please apply; and let's set up a meet & greet after-hours!

Story
Sweet Pete, he is as adorable as can be, as friendly as can be, snuggly, playful, all things amazing - as can be! At about 9 months old, this medium sized man is the greatest, most loving, and lively puppy, ever. From getting along with other dogs of ALL sizes, to kids, adults; everyone! We haven't yet cat-tested Peter, but let us know if you'd like us to and we will get right on it! Weighing in at approximately 40 pounds, while he does need to add some meat on his bones, he's surely getting there! His favorite thing to do is working for treats, likely due to his amazing food-drive, and while we are working on allll the basics with this guy; we know he will transition very well into most loving families. How do we know that? Well Peter is one of the most joyous, and goofy dogs I've personally ever met, especially when he's out romping with the other dogs - he listens to social signals SO well, and is able to get any other dog out of their little shell, all through play. But worry not, when he's worn out from some play, he is as content as ever to snuggle up with his people, and just melt on the couch.

Story
Hanky, what can I say? He's a loverboy, that is one thing for certain, and another thing for certain is watching him romp with other dogs has GOT to be one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed. He is a clumsy, dorky, 8 month old boy who's yet to figure out his coordination. Hanky is beyond adorable, beyond sweet, and beyond lovable. He just adores being given attention by anyone, anything, he doesn't mind whatsoever, if he's getting loved on, then he's one happy camper! If you picture a happy-go-lucky guy with only love on his mind, and a fluffy tail that never stops wagging, it is this guy, to a T! He's a pretty smart guy, to say the very least, he's got all the basics down of being such a very good boy! We know he will fit in well in most loving homes, especially those who enjoy spurratic hikes, brisk walks, and those Sunday snuggles! Hanky weighs in around 40 pounds, so we know he will fit well into most homes, as well!
